AP sniper doesn't get more penetration as it is being accelerated, but having several APs would be decent. However if you have an accelerator, you might as well use stronger weapons. As for mortars, they are very strong with portals for the extra range, but they don't usually need to be more focused if you use the proper setup. There are ways to stack mortars diagonally, so they all shoot one big portal and output a smaller one, focusing the volley and making them devastating. It has been used a couple times in the FPL and tournaments, I think you should be able to find Incursus vids with those.
i never thought about trying to make a no break particle accelerator. intriguing.

just wondering, can you accelerate:
- armour-pen sniper: will it gain any more pen that way?
- mortars: to gain range and focus the volley?
