Hindutva's vision for India has sparked significant discourse, necessitating a thoughtful response for both development and society. South Asia’s weak development is in one specific way self-inflicted. It comes from the inability to move on from the events of 1947, politically and socially. A nationalistic wave has led to regional & communal tensions that threaten the fabric of democracy. But the solution may lie in the problem itself. South Asia is the least integrated region in the world. Do the answers we search for flow from there? It is something that the Hindutva ideology pines for but cannot achieve..
Join us as we discuss this and more with Aakar Patel, the well-known syndicated columnist, author and the Chair of Amnesty International, India. His books include “Why I Write” (2014), “Our Hindu Rashtra: What It Is. How We Got Here” (2020) and a novel “After the Messaiah” (2024). He is currently working on his next book, which reimagines South Asia - the working title of which is “The Case for Optimism”.

@3:55 as you said in 1990 China and India were at around same level in terms of per capita income,
I think in 1990 then china realize that they can't beat India, and unless one getting left behind other one can't go ahead to achieve higher goal, So they start funding to radicalised forces like BJP & RSS to muddy the social atmosphere in India, which will cause a unrest and will also make citizens illiterate, illogical due to lack of education because of unrest, which will lead to global business to turn back to india and then China will get those business without any competition.
China fund baber ram janambumi issue,
