A lot of artists are just making collabs to gain exposure from each other, but not RM. He chooses people who HE admire, who HE likes to listen to, who HE thinks are great artists. He's at the lvl where he could collaborate with some top stars from the US but he doesn't. He makes music FOR ARTS NOT FOR THE CHARTS!

her solo album was amazing, highly recommend you listen to it. joon always introduces armys to underrated, uderground artists like rina sawayama (in 2018 when she was unknown), balming tiger and soyoon. they all got huge exposure after he shouted them out or collabed with them. balming tiger and soyoon spotify followers were low and after their collabs with joon, they both debut on billboard charts. he always blends perfectly with these alternative sounds. he doesn't miss!

Think it’s great how RM brings us to artists we wouldn’t normally find. For me first it was Younha and now this. My favorite song on her album is “Till the sun goes up”! Fantastic song.
She did this song on a few music shows live (without RM unfortunately) but played electric guitar and she is SOOOO COOL!!! She also admitted to loving JKs song Dreamers and even sang a little bit of it, she has a great personality..

soyoon is a true artist, she's amazing!!! she's the main vocalist the indie-rock band se so neon. i highly recommend cheking their music out (and also her other mv for this album - "bad").
btw she's very good friends with namjoon, they're besties at this point and she also attended hobi's album listening party (where they actually all met for the first time. namjoon has been a fan of se so neon for quite a while)
i love that joon is collabing with ppl that he WANTS to, and that he admires and respects regardless of their status. it's so authentic and it's his kind of art, i love him so much

I had never hear her music before but because of this collab and how good it was I listened to her entire album and it’s AMAZING, my favorites were smoke sprite, bad, till the sun goes up. that album is the only one I’ve listened so far but I can’t wait to listen to her other albums, specially I’m really curious about the music she makes with her band. She’s an ARTIST. (Also, I’m sorry but I have to say it, Namjoon’s voice is so HOT, and the lyrics🫣)
RM’s Indigo album has many features - I think 8 out of 10 tracks and it’s the most wonderful introduction to other artists, with a focus on Korean music. The artists aren’t K-pop, it’s more like from the Korean indie rock, hip hop and even folk scenes. And it’s truly glorious to be exposed to talents I probably would never have known I should listen to.
The thing I love most is the generosity- or maybe lack of ego. He isn’t afraid to have these amazing artists come on and just knock it out of the park. I’m still listening to the album daily and not because I’m streaming. I listen to it from my iTunes library just for my own personal enjoyment.

I've just recently watched Dive Studios' interview with Soyoon and I absolutely adore her! There she talks about the meaning of the song, the album, her musical journey, how this collab came to be. It is super interesting, I would recommend you checking it out on your own time if you are truly curious about her :) She is precious and amazingly talented!
It takes only two listens in a row for you to absolutely get lost in this song. I haven't been able to get out of it since the first day. Every listen will get you in deeper.
Watch her live version of this song. She is darn attractive, perhaps the most attractive female artist I have come across, reminding me a bit of Kim Yun Ah of Ja Woo Rim.
Bad and Canada have been my other favorites.

I’M SO GLAD SHE SAID THAT!! I only just found this song recently and have been unreasonably obsessed. It’s now my ringtone and the 8bit is my txt tone. Only ringtone I’ve ever paid for. THE SONG IS COMPLETE!! I understand the exposure that she got from RM on the song, I can appreciate that, but from a completely objective standpoint because I know OF bts but… 🤷🏽♀️ so whatever impact he might have on fans don’t reside here😂, he adds nothing but exposure, WHICH IS GREAT FOR HER CAREER, but gave nothing of sonic value to this song. I completely space out when he comes on. He seems like a great artist don’t get me wrong, but they should have picked another song. I first learned about Hwang Soyoon because Han from Stray Kids did a cover of one of the songs from her band, Se So Neon, when he was on Lee Mujin Service. The song is called "A Long Dream," and both the original and the duet cover that Han did with Lee Mujin are awesome. I'm glad this song with RM is giving her some more exposure, she's clearly talented.

This song is from her album Episode 1: Love and honestly it’s soooo good. She’s a k-indie soloist but she’s also a guitarist and singer in the band called Se Se Neon. She’s pretty well known in the rock scene as like this newer artist who really took off. If u choose not to do a whole album reaction, Bad and Til the sun goes up are great songs as an introduction to the album. She did an interview with Eric Nam if ur interested in learning more about her and the album off screen on ur own time
