    Great videos. If you're interested, the best way to pronounce Oban would be to say Obin. Also as far as Glasgow is concerned, just leave the W off the end and say Glasgo. None of this makes any difference but thought I would share. Keep the videos coming.

      The final edit was good. I know the western highlands very well and loved seeing Oban. The pronunciation needs a lot of work. Sorry but wromg pronunciation will really irritate a British person. Also, when you next go to Scotland, please take me with you. I could teach you so much about scotch whiskey, especially single malts. You are both right, Oban 14 and Little Bay are the best whiskies from Oban. Just, PLEASE, never think of bourbon when tasting single malt scotch. That, I cant forgive. Keep up the good work guys and welcome to the wonderful U.K.

    Glasgow has a really cool underground system called the Clockwork Orange, it's literally the smallest underground system in everyday in the UK.
    8 miles circuit, 4ft gauge and small train, you can go round in 23 minutes.

    I'm really glad I found your videos. I need new travel tubers to watch. Scotland is one of my favorite places was there for 2 weeks in may/june of 2019. Next time in Glasgow or Edinburgh try social bite. I also enjoyed the oban distillery(ill spare you the sctch don't comments about how to do a tasting lol) and my wife still talks about the fish and chips at I am fish and chips. Also live bagpies always make me emotional

    You could do with lavalier microphones or a decent directional mike, as the noise in the distillery meant we couldn't hear your comments.

    How was it driving in the UK? We are going there in April and discussing renting a car, but driving on the left side also terrifies us!

      I felt like I got used to driving on the left side of the road quickly. The only time I really had to focus hard was on the small roads throughout the Cotswolds or in really rainy weather. All in all, it was alright and we’d for sure do it again for the freedom to explore on our time. Hope y’all have a wonderful trip! -Jordan

    Obun (emphasis on the 1st syllable); Glazgo; Edinburra; Loch Lomund (again emphasis on the 1st syllable). Hope that helps. It will endear you to the Scots if you can pronounce those 4 properly!

    Does it freak you out at all, that 18 year old's can do the whisky thing, in the UK?
    We can't get the idea of not being 'adult' enough for alcohol till 21, like it is in the USA!

    • @KeepGoingPlaces
      @KeepGoingPlaces  3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Haha, not really. Being from Texas, we’re use to the lower age (18) in Mexico 🇲🇽 Plus, that law doesn’t change behavior of 16 to 18 year olds. They still get their hands on alcohol regardless. I think it’s odd that in the US you’re not old enough to buy alcohol until 21, but you’re old enough at 17 to enlist in the military and go off to war...

      I actually started frequenting our local pub at 14!
      My three older brothers were regular customers, & I tagged along one night, to play pool, & nobody questioned my age!
      The funny thing is, I drank when I was 14, but stopped at 28, & that was 30 years ago! I prefer to remember what I was doing last night! 🤣🤣🤣
