I think it's fate that I discovered this song when I can say that I am finally healed from my last breakup. It's so refreshing and full of hope despite the bittersweetness of it. Truly the absence of them makes you appreciate your OWN presence better.

This song came out just as I ended a 2 year relationship. Everytime I listen to it it's such a bittersweet feeling. I perfectly reminisce all of the good moments we had yet I understand that to grow we needed to break up. The grieving process is difficult but this song makes me feel like things will be okay. I hope that we're both moving on to greater avenues where we'll find fulfillment in our lives once more. I miss him, and I am so thankful for our time together. Now I will do my best to be happy for myself.

Listening to this song on repeat after finally letting the person I love go. I really wanted to be with him always,however as much as I'm happy whenever I talk to him I'm twice as sad and hurt when he would ignore me for hours,give me false hope and make me overthink everyday. I was actually surprised that I didn't cry after ending things with him,I thought that was because I cried too much that I can't anymore but it was because I'm relieved. I don't have to worry and overthink anymore,I don't have to cry every night and I don't have to look like a fool waiting for him every time. It feels like a heavy burden has finally been lifted. Thank you for this wonderful song,Grent! :)

The feeling of slowly but surely learning to accept things as they are as much as you wish they were the opposite because you’ve done your best and nothing can change the situation since it takes two. From time to time you find yourself slipping back into that space where you miss them and want to reach out to them to try just one more time but you force yourself not to as much as it hurts you all for the best. When you dream about them randomly and all the memories come flooding back in and you’re back to getting yourself out of that space where you once worked so hard to get out of.
I don't think I've ever cried at a song so damn quickly. I felt every lyric straight to the heart, thank you for making this song it's so inspiring and almost theraputic to listen to having felt this same way. Love you Grant keep doing what you're doing

I remember stumbling upon the first version of this song while browsing through your channel a while back and this song really resonated with the situation I was in during the time and helped me power through and realize that things weren’t all so bad and to focus on the present instead of dwelling in the past.
