I absolutely LUV this band...My sons turned me on to them about 7yrs ago and they've been a favorite of mine ever since.Great musicians all around! Luv you guys!
I'm paralyzed from head down Realized pushing their doubts I'm burned by all the fire That's spread within my house You put them there so you can put them out When courage strikes we'll come out And wait around with our heads down Turn me to the sky, turn me upside down A way to feel alive, a life that's mine Cause I am like a big strong cable I am like a girl so soft inside Finally today I'm able To put you in the ground I'll meet you in the ground The mirror fell and I I may as well have been blind The days passing like cars I'll meet you in the tower If they can dream then Oh why can't I? I've finally stabilized [Repeat: x2] Everyone will see [Repeat: x2] I've finally stabilized [Repeat: x2] Everyone will see [Repeat: x2] I've finally stabilized [Repeat: x2] Everyone will see [Repeat: x2]
There is a direct link, Jimmy and Jeff were friends, Jimmy was also Jeffs guitar tech. Absolutely amazing technique Jimmy....I trained professionally for 6 years with your voice to guide me...Thx bro.
@dangerboymusic He was great friends with Jeff Buckley and many of his tunes on this record were written about him and his death. Especially this tune. it was written about Buckley.
@dangerboymusic the singer was not only influenced by Jeff Buckley but they were also friends from what I understand. Jeff went around and joined every band that would have him in NYC to really experience music and thus he knew just about everyone in the NYC band scene at the time. I heard about the band-a-thon that Jeff did from the singer he worked with in Murphy's Law....Jeff was a seriously cool cat!!!!!!
@HeLLofNorTH it's funny...the band experienced next to zero success, and their second album was much more lauded by critics and it wasn't as good as distorted which was laughed at by critics...this album is the Hook of the of the music industry at that time. I think Jimmy should resurface as a solo artist and stylize more...his voice will always get hearts pumpin', but perhaps the formula was to straight forward melodic hard rock.
Long live Ours!!!!!!!!!!
No matter their level of fame - what matters is who they touch, and for that I'm blessed.
Love this song and this band, brings back bittersweet memories
Thank you for making this song jimmy Gnecco 🙏🎶💕😎 I would like to elaborate but my gut feeling is to keep it simple 😁 so again just thank you 😊
I absolutely LUV this band...My sons turned me on to them about 7yrs ago and they've been a favorite of mine ever since.Great musicians all around! Luv you guys!

I'm paralyzed from head down
Realized pushing their doubts
I'm burned by all the fire
That's spread within my house
You put them there so you can put them out
When courage strikes we'll come out
And wait around with our heads down
Turn me to the sky, turn me upside down
A way to feel alive, a life that's mine
Cause I am like a big strong cable
I am like a girl so soft inside
Finally today I'm able
To put you in the ground
I'll meet you in the ground
The mirror fell and I
I may as well have been blind
The days passing like cars
I'll meet you in the tower
If they can dream then
Oh why can't I?
I've finally stabilized [Repeat: x2]
Everyone will see [Repeat: x2]
I've finally stabilized [Repeat: x2]
Everyone will see [Repeat: x2]
I've finally stabilized [Repeat: x2]
Everyone will see [Repeat: x2]
Distorted Lullabies is perfect.

@dangerboymusic He was great friends with Jeff Buckley and many of his tunes on this record were written about him and his death. Especially this tune. it was written about Buckley.
@HELLofNorTH Jimmy was Jeff's sound/guitar tech.
No, he wasn't.
@dangerboymusic

@HeLLofNorTH Listen to any Jeff Buckley song and you will quickly find that he and Jimmy have very similar singing styles. There is your link.
@HeLLofNorTH Link = Both AMAZING artists! : )
@HeLLofNorTH The lead singer of Ours use to be a guitar tech for Jeff Buckley.
No, he wasn't. The were only friends for a short time.
@HeLLofNorTH definite link, jimmy was mentored by jeff
@HeLLofNorTH it's funny...the band experienced next to zero success, and their second album was much more lauded by critics and it wasn't as good as distorted which was laughed at by critics...this album is the Hook of the of the music industry at that time. @HeLLofNorTH and i guess they were friends...before Jeff passed
So this music has "turned you on"? Because it has done the same to me.
Jeff mentored him, that's the link
@HeLLofNorTH true but I have the feeling is not one of the most down-to-earth person...
