I myself have been on a long journey through school, and art has always been a passion of mine, though the mental aspect of it has left me a bit traumatized lol. Just watching this videos as I try to incorporate even just a tiny bit of art into my daily routine. Thanks for the info on the flash sheets, I think yours turned out great man. Cheers
I absolutely LOVE your voice!! It is SO soothing 😅 You could literally read bedtime stories. Ty for this excellent tutorial ❤ My niece and Nephew in law just opened up their own tattoo shop they needed some help getting everything ready to his is gonna help a lot!!
Also SORRY I’m Not trying to be creepy either!!! I’m also in love with my wonderful supportive significant other. but ur voice is very nice that is all. 👍 ai hope ur career has taken off good sir.
Hey I just came across this video and really enjoyed watching this and watching your process. Its aug 2023 and this video is 2yrs old now. I hope you’re still doing art and creating and I’d def enjoy watching more of flash sheet making videos from you
I really enjoyed listening to your voiceover and your reasons to transitioning to tattooing. You're really articulate! It is indeed a craft and I feel the frustrations as an artist feeling like it is trivial sometimes compared to the 'bigger picture', I hope to cross paths with tattoo artists with similar values as yourself in the future
I've been really admiring the artwork you've been posting on instagram. I'm glad that you have some long term goals, I've recently found myself in a similar position, and it feels good to finally have some direction in life.
I loved watching this admire your honesty, I own a shop in the U.K and I would happily apprentice you if you were here as you definitely have the skill and knowledge so please keep going you WILL get in a shop you’ll see Keep up the cool vids love your style man
Came here, did not expect a motivational talk and received some immaculate positivity and reminders that were needed. You seem like such a good person. Congrats of becoming apprenticed (saw on ur ig) and all the best going forward!
I like the nib you’re using I used to use a b5 but I got super tired of the bulky lines I went back to a micron pen but I totally miss the paint on-top the paper look I’m gunna pick up another round of stuff today and give it a go again
I just have to say I hope you go out there and find an apprenticeship because your work is incredible! Wow. Coming from a tattoo artist. I’m amazed. You have major talent.
Hey dude, I just wanted to say that I found a lot of joy watching this video and you seem like a super humble and cool guy. Thank you for the upload and I'm positive you're going to find a shop to apprentice at if you haven't already. I can tell you're super passionate about what you're doing and what you want to do in the future. I'm in the middle of a career change and was seriously considering going down the tattoo route and this video just further pushed me toward that dream. Cheers.
Ayy you're back! Your art is really good, I love the little cupid things. Good luck with the process of becoming a tattoo artist, you can definitely do it!
Hey dude this is awesome, love the work! I’m also moving away from music and pursuing an apprenticeship. Thanks for the video it was really helpful and informative! Good work bro
I agree I love the stain look but sometimes it definitely does look good in black and gray. I've been using sober Joe's method with fw burnt umber acrylic and it's worked amazing. I tried the coffee method but just couldn't find the right mixture.
As an artist myself I really appreciate this piece, IMO; I’ve seen plenty of flash style art, but to really nail that dated classic look and feel- attention to certain detail plays a big part. And I def thought that was a clever technique using the coffee grounds for color, gives it character. The accents done w/ the gouache teal& red also laid perfect, may have to consider investing in those materials myself. Overall pretty damn spot on. Great job dude, appreciate your modesty; remember to always give yourself credit where credits due.✨🤘🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Really REALLY enjoyed your video. You explaining your process and just sharing your random thoughts 😁. I’m currently trying to overcome my fear of painting/drawing. IM A TATTOO APPRENTICE FOR GODSAKE 😂. But it helps to paint along with your videos! Please keep em coming 💖
So should I get watercolor paint, or acrylic? Can I still spit shade acrylic? New to painting flash and wanna make sure I get the right supplies. Any tips or advice is greatly appreciated.
Hey Morgan, hope you're doing fine and hope you're on your way of getting an apprenticeship/become a tattooer. I relate a lot to your story... I'm in my 3rd year of college (game dev) and realized I'd prefer to spend as much time on improving my drawing skills. I also stopped playing guitar to focus more on my art (which is insane considering how much I used to love playing it). Anyway, hope you're doing fine and hope 2023 will treat ya well...best of luck!
This video is really informative, and the commentary is really entertaining to listen to. :) The instagram link doesn't work does anyone know the updated link? Thank you
I've been looking for someone creating flash designs on a paper. Great video, and interesting thoughts on the difference from digital design.
how do u do such perfect lines

When he said:
"There's a number of things, most things that I'm terrible at, this is the one thing I found that I'm not terrible at"
I felt that! 😂

It's good your doing work with actual paper an paint. Alot of shop won't even consider a person who solely uses an ipad
