We started going to Jamaica in 1979 and met your guide, Blacky, then. We have now been on 24 separate trips to Jamaica and every time we are on the eastern side of the island, we look for him! He is really the best and we are so glad to see him doing well! 🥰

Red Label wine is soooo good also, it was my favorite drink while there, it's like a spice wine, not like any wine I've had before and you don't need much of it to get drunk. Lol.

My Godparents are Jamaican, and I've been blessed to visit many times in the past 10 years, and I enjoyed it every time I went. I hope to be able to bring my family someday. Being in the country is soooo much different than being at a resort. I feel blessed I was able to see how Jamaica is "behind the scenes" and spend time in the country. You will leave appreciating the things you have after visiting. I also donate to friends/family there since visiting as it is a very impoverished country and I just want to help in anyway I can. One thing you have to be careful for is crime, my Godparents wouldn't let me walk in the country alone without an extended Jamaican family member.

That was one of the best club on the land always a good vibe then lateley they had under the rock which was open air but that was outside of Port Antonio coming back towards Duckenfield.Portland is one of my favourite Parish.I used to love going to sport day at Cardo Park.Often times when I go home I would drive to Portland spend some time by the Mariner and do alittle walk round the town, one year I travel from MoBay heading to Portland and got as far as Orocobessa and had was to turn back because they were resurfacing the high way and beyond where we got to was all dugged up and it would have been to much of a hard ride so I turn back and head to St Thomas then a couple days head to Portland got as far as Boston and turn back because I leave out too late and the road was too bad so the following day I start earley and complete my task. I didn't get to go January while I was there 15 days wern't long enough so I'll be looking forward year end, hopefull the St Thomas highway through to Portland will be complete.
