Two nights ago l heard Tom Power interview this incredibly talented, versatile, humble young man, on CBC.Stephen has a thing for the crooners, a big influence on him. He also admires many sounds from the 60’s. His tastes cover quite a range. He mentioned during the interview that his early audiences were all middle aged and older. They could relate to his choice of songs and unique talent. One song though, really went over so well that thousands his own age were starting to follow him. I can’t think of the name of the song he wrote that catapulted him into stardom but it is about a girlfriend he once had named Georgia. She broke things off and it was hard on him. The song was originally called Georgia but they changed the name. Stephen was honest, kind and humble during the review. A good head on his shoulders! Stephen does sing some soft songs and he also had songs similar to Elvis. He writes many of his own songs. The video you watched is just Stephen doing his thing. It’s one style! No, he is not doing drugs! May l suggest that you do as l did and look up and listen to all the songs he sings from different genres of music.
