That's just insane clean. 65 years since that was born, and it looks just like yesterday.

I’m 26 and now realizing the newer generations pick up and carry on the legacy of things that once belonged to your generation

Thank you for this. Man looks brand new. Antiques Roadshow material. You definitely hit this one out of the park.

Thanks! It's so crazy clean but still a great guitar. It's just been waiting to be played.

I was given a guitar recently and I thought it was trash. It was beat up badly. I started to do some research and lo and behold, it's a copy of the 59-62 I believe. Slab rosewood fretboard, big chunky neck, full thickness body (agathist) and a 3 piece pickguard. It was commissioned by Axl and done to some great specs. I've now played many a fender that are newer and none feel like that. I've further damaged it to resemble something I can beat up but it's a sleeper. I've updated all the hardware and pickups and made it a stable player. To me, it's worth more than any Squier and I'd do it again. Squier SE stratocaster, the best! It's not the real thing but my skills have increased so much that I'd rather play mine than even a new one.

Anyone else freaked out that Riggs was going to take out the finish above the e string on the body? :)

    Needs a relic.
    😂 Don’t worry - I’m kidding!

You should get someone to play it versus an american vintage strat without telling them that this is real vintage. It's so clean it doesn't really strike you as vintage haha

I'd love to! But I don't have any modern guitars here to compare it against. I'd love to know what the difference is (other than how it feels!)

@@truevintageguitar I have a modern 1959 that is black with the mint green pick guard. (pick guard looks white at first glance) It would be cool to compare guitars.

Wow. $174 dollars in 1959 is roughly equivalent to $1850 dollars today.

The guitar without all the pedals would be nice. I'd like to hear the guitar!!

So now it's no longer factory original once being taken apart. At least the condition is original if not completely unmolested. This is the best that you'll ever see again as most of these have some sort of finish damage or other problem. And all the others that I have seen don't usually have the hang tags or ephemera which is why I always keep such things with the guitar when I buy it new.

Why are you all sure that it's a real deal? 😂 Everything can be counterfeited. If it's too good to be true, it's probably not.

Hey! I welcome your comments on the authenticity of the guitar after you take a look at all the interior pictures that are posted with the listing of this Stratocaster. That's why I put them there. I authenticate the guitars myself by comparing them to all of the other pre-CBS Stratocasters that have come through my shop. I have high resolution photos of each one on my hard drive 👍
