    Been studying japanese for 4 years and i still dont know what yoroshiku onegaishimasu means. like it changes meaning each time depending on the situation. Your explanation of nice to meet you lets keep a good relationship forever when responding about your name is interesting. Ill have to ask my other kyoushi besides you of course. because I will learn what yoroshiku onegaishimasu means one day....I hope..

      Haha, it’s a tricky one! Yoroshiku comes from yoroshii (good/fine) and onegaishimasu literally means “I wish” (onegai - wish, shimasu - do). So it’s like saying “I wish for you to be good to me” or “I wish for us to be good (to each other) going forward”. Hope that helps a bit! 😊

      @@JapaneseWithJade thanks for breaking down the word. my teachers are japanese and their english is not as good as ours. They never really broke it down like that. ill have to see if this willl help me finally get it!

      Fingers crossed! That’s basically it in a nutshell, but they say it at random moments, so you learn little by little in which situations it’s used! Keep going! 🎉
