i love this so much!!! I just put up my village for the 3rd time. We didn't do it for the last 4 years because babies and puppy! But now i'm soooo into it. Where do you find the awesome accents like santa photos/photgraphers, and even a real estate sign???? OMG awesome! The sledding/tubing hill? I'm having a hard time finding peices. And Starbucks? Please share where you get your pieces. So far I have only lucked out at Walmart and Christmas tree shops (new england based store). I've also checked out Michaels but the Lemax stuff is SO expensive to collect. Thank you for sharing!! =)
Thanks for your note! Thrifting is a good place to find stuff, but yea Michaels is pretty expensive. I buy a lot of my stuff from www.christmasvillages.ca also, the real estate and Christmas Town signs I made myself. Just get creative with it!

Where do you purchase your structures? I’ve got a few Dept56 stuff. It’s very nice and detailed, but can also be pricey. I found a few pieces at walmart for cheaper, but they just don’t look good sitting next to my dept56 pieces.
RetroJared most of the pieces are Lemax which I find to be more detailed and cheaper than Department56. Though the Starbucks is Depart56 and it’s a great piece

Did you DIY your outdoor movie screen? Also do you have any details on your train set and the Christmas town sign? I would like to add a train to my village but there are so many to choose from
Hi Shannon, yes the movie screen was DIY and also the Christmas Town sign. I designed them on photoshop, printed them out, stuck them to pieces of cardboard and mounted them on small wooden sticks.

absolutely brilliant.how long does it take you to set it up from start to finish.i have a small village that takes half an hour to set up let's hope by Christmas the covid 19 pandemic is over or you will take even longer setting up as you will have to social distance all the figures lol
Dave Lane thanks Dave! It takes about a full day to get everything out, organize all the pieces and put them on display. Some thinking and planning a few days or weeks in advance will help as well. Haha yea social distancing this year will be important

@@seanhuynh5184and S D a cool tunnel idea I found online and pretty cheap. Take an unused box cut out two holes for the tunnel. Test to make sure your train will fit and not hit the sides of the entrance/exit. Next wrap your tunnel with holiday wrapping paper to make it look like a gift. It looks cool when completed trust me! Your village is awesome.

Cool layout but the only thing I don’t understand about these Christmas villages why are the people so tall and the doors so short lol they need to scale the people down to the right size but all together looks really awesome
Erin White yea I’m not sure why they don’t make the figurines time scale. Prob because you can get more detail and it’s easier to create bigger pieces.
