Hi, you can use any spray pump that has over 2000psi. And consider what's best for the type of paint you are using, such as tip size, because membrane for roof is thicker than wall paint so it will need a bigger tip size. I hope this helps!

Hi this is what you need to do for corrugated roof New or Aged: For Colorbond® or ColorSteel® (NZ) pre-painted steel wash down roof with high-pressure hose and allow to dry. For bare galvanised iron and Zincalume® wash down roof with high-pressure hose and allow to dry. Apply 1 coat Dulux Precision All Metal Primer. For any rusted areas, remove rust with a suitable rust remover. Spot prime cleaned areas with Dulux Precision All Metal Primer. After you do all of this apply two coats of : Dulux Roof & Trim acrylic paint suitable for use on exterior roofs including galvanised iron, Colorbond®, ColorSteel® (NZ) and trims such as plastic spouting, timber fascias, masonry and structural metals. Unfortunate we are located in SYDNEY so you have to find some one locally to do this for you .
Spraying the roof with up and down strokes as shown in the video is good for the profile of the tile, but does not give enough paint to the nose of the tile. An the nose is where the moss starts growing because it is not a smooth surface. I think the up and down strokes should be complemented with a horizontal stroke specifically aimed at the noses (the vertical end of the tile). The roof looks good after painting, but what about 4 years later? Maybe it is time to re-visit the house and have a look.

HI normally concrete tiles are very strong and easy to walk on,to aviod overspray you need to set your pressure on the gun right, but if is too windy you dont sprey.
Hi you can't paint tarracotta tiles if they're painted with clear factory paint finish . Only time you can paint tarracotta tiles is if they Never been painted before.

The pressure washer must be used to clean the roof completely of the debris, moss and other dirt, and keep the surface ready and smooth for the hassle free painting process. ... To paint a roof, one must make sure that the roof has no waste dumped, as it will give way to a hindrance in the proper painting.
You don’t do many roofs do you. For starters that roof is not clean enough. Second, if you use a bit of water on your trowel when levelling off the pointing it will be so much smoother. Third, do you know the thickness that roof membrane needs to be applied at so it will preform the way it was designed? Because you are not applying any where near enough paint. A roof that size you should be using between 13 and 15 cans of paint. Forth, Roof Membrane in order to weather the way it was designed needs to be applied evenly over the entire roof, give it 1.5 years and that roof will look terribly patchy with dull and flat spots all over it. But other than that I think it turned out better than most of the cowboys in the industry.
