I'm new to hams, I have my BITX set up, but I'm wondering why the current drain on transmit with loud awwww is only 0,5~0,6A on 12V battery, without any sound it takes 0,37A, as in the instruction. Is that possible that this Q13 is faulty or something? de sq5gn
Nice video. A learning point for me is to measure all these voltages while the set is still functional, for reference when troubleshooting
One of the most powerful debugging techniques is A/B testing. Good to share!
Being able to replace a smd with a through hole transistor gives this board a degree of flexibility... enjoyable video.Happy new year.
Classic debugging for circuitry. Great job. Good example of why it's so hard to buy a "board only" and expect it to work.
Thank you for sharing this issue and your logic/fix.
Nice job, Peter...as usual.
