Purdue had a cup cake big Ten schedule to start the year, and majority of their tough matchups were home games. They played the bottom 4 teams twice, IU only played them once and also went through that stretch with 2 starters out.

To this day I CANNOT believe Painter’s game plan was to allow JHS to shoot midrange jumpers. For how limited Smith is as a player and for how Morton is just a hustle player, not really a good on ball defender, I will never understand why they let him continue shoot 16 footers
