I tend to just have 4 3x3rooms set in a square with the biome buildings out from a corner, a lot of the inside is typically taken up for storage and auto crafting. A section for displaying all frogs and larvae, only just started working on an outside space to display the different trees in the tree pot. Don't quote me but I believe the difficulty relates to how large the generated portal map is and how easy to find the vault. Rarity is number of the safes and quality of the loot found.
