What about any frame specializing in cc. Frankly I want a reason to use Vauban. He became useless when they implemented overgaurd
@@dustinzhane7329Vauban is fine. He could use a base health and/or shield increase, but otherwise he has two infinite scaling damage abilities, an armor strip, and a large cc already. There's isn't really anything more they could add to him.

@@TheRagnus try the event solo Vauban. I don't think the decision to make CC frames pointless was good at all. And infinite scaling is not accurate. Good yes but infinite no.

glad frost is finally getting more love, i was hoping his 2 would be reworked entirely and the scaling on his globe would become a bit stronger but this is totally acceptable for now. nice video!
The way ice wave impedance deals status procs now does make it worthwhile combined with biting frost. Most useful against factions without armor, it's economical, scales extremely well with range so definitely try it with a low strength build, and if you don't want 3 augment mods you can learn to use snow globe more dynamically or get the new arcane secondary fortifier.
Main thing I’ve wanted for his 2 that would still be a great addition is to give it the ability to pop his snow globe from the outside like his 1 does. Other than that AND buffing his prime variant base energy pool to that of at least inaros primes, everything is looking good

@@cdgonepotatoes4219 One thing that really pisses me off is that some abilities don't proc Status even tho they should - Volt as example.
Volt's 1st and 4th ability don't proc Electric status for whatever reason and it's really annoying.
So the fact Frost now procs Cold makes that Frame 10x more fun.
if you guys havent tried it. throw on thermal sunder onto frost. you full armor strip into thermal sunder cooks enemies. one of my favorite builds for him.
Just finished an arbi where we had 2 frosts, a wisp and me as equinox nuke. We made it to round 50 without even trying. So nice to see older frames get the love they deserve!

Shard Recommendations as a frost main: 3 tau forged blue gives you 3 full casts, a freeze and a roar, and 2 tau forged yellow cause the 4 takes too long to cast. I personally prefer Zenoric for the free ability cast though, but that’s about all I use it for so I can definitely see the preference going to Madurai or Zenoric.
Full umbra, battery augment plus storm augment and 2 red taus feels the best way to play him right now for me, if I don't upkeep his storm enough it doesn't matter cause I'm still at base 90% something strip before storm procs
[This is a bit of an ember rant on a frost video, i know]
Frost was already insanely good, its kinda funny how they made this augment scale with his armor but ember's now only gains overguard when overhealing (which is already technically worse than frost had, since if enemies got past your shieldgate, and youre actively taking health damage one cast could just not grant you enough health to go into overguard, not likely but still possible), less overguard overall (25-50 vs frost's 60), AND does not scale with armor. And overall ember just feels bad to play because her 4 does literally nothing to higher level enemies unless you use heat inherit (which is now harder because she spreads weak heat procs around a lot with her abilities).
So frost gets stuff that he didnt even honestly need and ember is just left out there despite getting "reworked". The current changes to ember only really helped with energy economy but did not address bigger issues with her abilities, which if you're a veteran you would just have had nourish on her anyway so you barely notice. All i can think of for her 4 to be good is to give it similar properties to saryn's spores, where with each tick of damage it adds more heat procs onto the burning enemy. Also not a fan of her strength passive, because the enemies should not be on fire around ember, they should be dead. So if you take ember into a mission where she actually kills enemies, you dont even really benefit. I think they need to rework this and other passives that work like it into the same system as duviri decrees where you get armor for each corrosive proc for x seconds, which would work nicely even if you kill enemies, you just have to apply heat.
So, basically, ember needs her 4th buffed in some substantial way, since casting it actually slows your time to kill vs using literally any decent weapon. Her 2 and 3 are fine at best, armor strip does have some value but it is way too easy to get it in other ways, and damage reduction on yourself is always good. Her 1st ability is a literal joke and needs either a huge number tweak or to be replaced entirely... even the augment sucks since you can just use thermal transfer instead (on any frame mind you since it's helminth). They could really do something more than even tweaking the numbers with her because she gets a lot of heat procs that she doesnt get to do much with. Maybe she could detonate them, heal the entire team from enemies on fire, something more interesting than just spreading weak heat procs around enemies and calling it a day.
This is the perfect build for frost I was looking for. Keep cooking
Frost has been my go-to for years, very interesting to see how other people mod him. I go full range + efficiency with precision intensify, as long as you're fully armor stripping, thats all the strength I feel like you need.
More enemies hit by avalanche, the better, i can just spam cast to build overguard and prime for damage
Frost main too. Kinda sad to see ppl running nourish/blind rage on frost but they do them.
I also go precision intensify and reach for 100% cap and no more. Smart move
For energy, try running Health Conversion and Arcane Battery instead of Equilibrium and Arcane Energized. It's easier to get and more consistent. As long as youre freezing things, which is always, youll have up to 700 max energy. And Health Conversion gives you more armor which scales up the amount of overshield you'll get from your 4.
So what would be the proper progenitor to have on flax ion for this particular frost build? Also amazing vid goat!

@@kyaiiwith the wacky blast build it might be worth using thermal sunder and replacing biting frost with thermals augment (the 200% cc only brings glaxion to 100 exact so you only lose cd) its an extra 75% heat/cold that scales with strength
Have you done a video on the Verglas sentinel weapon? With contagious bond and a rhino roar, mine can kill a room of 130 steel path heavy gunners completely by itself. I use viral heat

I've got my Frost running a Ignis Wraith with blast element and a hybrid crit/status build. It's not meta but I find it hilarious to just stay alive while buffing my dps with more cold from the 1 augment and building a higher ability strength whenever i freeze anything.
So that’s why I’ve been getting way more overguard after the update
Also breach surge is a good helminth with the biting frost augment, automatic red crits with the sparks

my guess is the change bane of corrupted to bane of orokin, to resolve searching this mod by tag 'corrupted' since you have corrupted mods as a specific group of mods

I've got an idea for you to try out and put a video up. The two new arcanes from jade arcane battery and arcane ice storm, then secondary surge for an aoe secondary to shatter your new frozen friends...
iirc Pablo said Volt's electric procs are next to get revised. Volt's already really strong but can't complain about my boy getting some fresh backend

Caliban isn't bad in anything in particular, just painfully average. A simple buff rather than a rework should be enough.
@TheRagnus his kit is fundamentally not in sync with most of the lines of play the game promotes his shield regen is too inconsistent cause it boost rather than generates his damage reduction is non stacking with adaptation and not good enough on its own he has piss poor armor his 1 is worthless his cast time is too long on everything his summons damage is bad thier ai is a detriment his ult is hit box rng on direct hit his 2 is his best ability and he isn't even the 5th best at using it his 4 and 2 synergy is costly while not keeping you alive in the low hundreds he has no extra movement he has no aoe kill switch he has no buffing utility he has a damn vulnerability and lifted status generator that though but lifted gimmicks are ass right now compared to doing anything else and it's his only thing.
He needs adjustments unless he's supposed to be a base star chart primarily frame if so then why is his grind where it is
I want the best for my sentient boi I try my best to build him and all he is one v of the clunkier weapon plats that use shield gate with no real unique game play

Wouldn't you be able to do the same by using Ice wave instead? and the range is much more vs 1st ability no? Also, it kinda works naturally with him as before you get into the thick of enemies, you ice wave first then jump in and avalanche in the center. Since, the passive just looks for cold procs in the enemies i think its better that way.
Ice Wave is more expensive and does more or less the exact same thing for a longer cast time that is more restricted in area (not radial) and energy intensive.
@@kyaii Fair enough, didn't really had an issue myself but I use pretty much the same build as yours on my frost, granted I went all in on fixing Energy economy while having as much str as possible and one mod for duration only.
I would swap Equilibrium with Archon Flow, frost abilities grants a chance for Energy to spawn so it can do a chain reaction with Energize, better combo imo
Nah it absolutely isnt.
Archon Flow is bad for a few reasons.
1. The ability actually needs to kill and none of Frosts kit are doing that.
2. It only drops a 50 energy orb. Every Equilibrium orb will be 55+ energy.
3. It has a 10 second cool down on activation (which you will never actually do)
Yea I use breach surge so the damage from hitting the frozen enemies bounces to other frozen enemies

Why wouldnt you just run flow instead of equilibrium and maybe two or three purple shards instead? Wouldnt a larger energy pool be better for energize?
Adding 3 shards just for energy generation is insane LMFAO, just run zenurik and you’ll be rolling in energy, especially with nourish, or any companion that helps with energy gen

I find he doesn't have enough base armor to really make use of it without building other mods for it which I didn't have space to do.

Have you tried [Ice Storm] arcane? Its decent however seems to have a weird/bug interaction with companion's using a gun with Cold. My Avalanche in simulacrum won't get a full x20 like it would if I ran the companion without Cold. super weird.
Might be a thing where if someone/something else Froze it, then you don't get the benefit? Which kind of sucks.
must be a companion issue as I've not had any issues getting stacks freezing with my primary
@@gumm7558 Yeah. the companion definitely messes it up. weapons are fine. However, I am not sure how well it interacts with other players using Cold.
