Nah, I prefer to play her with just her Erosion augument. I personally like her 4th it's similar to League's Ekko's ultimate. agree with everything except for one thing - the title, protea definitely isn't "the strongest" frame but she's up there, great vid however, explained everything pretty well
god no we don't need another 3rd augment that make it a must she needs Prime sure footed as Getting staggered sucks and getting ping ponged is death sentence
@@lag00n54 She's fine without Primed Sure Footed.. they're highly unlikely to change their existing Augments to make them disconnected from her Temporal Anchor.. so best bet is they give us a new Augment that doesn't take up space in the main Mod space, and then they get us to finally play her stupid 4th ability.. even if it's without the gimmick, but hey, they love.making us waste our mod space with augments, so just do it again, DE
This build made me switch to protea as the frame I use the most it used to be mesa but gun and blade evolution got corrected to only work with primary kills
In my opinion I don’t thing protiea is ok but not great like she can do something’s but most things no she’s just not good at it she’s not like blot or gauss, or Wukong’s, heck even rhino is still better in my opinion sure I’m Mr 30 but damage isn’t everything and she ya sure wasn’t all about damage like most other female frames but she just hasn’t got what the frames I think are the best have and there just trash bc that’s all that they can do and damage isn’t everything it’s just not but I just she’s ok but to me felt was a failed attempt to try be the type of frames I said were the best in my opinion
To much work and wasted mods slots to make protea a worst xaku, i love her, one of my most played frames ever, but truth to be told, this augmented sucks and everything involving it, its just pure copium.
too much work my ass mean while people would go 2 green shard replace her 4 with Hydroid 1 put his augment use Nautilus mod that too add duration less range spam 4 spam 1 and 2 stand there while you spam 3 abilities Who fkn cares my guy
My problem is, her 4 is so bad in so many ways that I don't want to use it continuously. One example: in BOB mode, if you use her 4 on the elevator, after it end, she will be under the elevator and fall down. And a lot of times though it's good, it is pretty bad in some mode.
I told my friend before the augment got announced that "the turret or turrets will probably be allowed to follow us around but let's be honest If that happened we would have a major monkeys paw situation" and indeed the paw curled
I don't dislike the *effects* of these augments, I just think it's really stupid that DE continues to anchor them to Protea's least useful ability instead of making it more useful. It just feels like they're tacking these on to make anchor "worth keeping" but really it just feels like unnecessary upkeep. I think it would feel better if they made anchor a passive and just gave her an actual 4th.
It is a cool build however unfortunately it just outperformed by both xaku and and protea with an actual ability on her 4 like roar or a grouping ability
Not a fan of this build. Heat status damage just got buffed because its armor stripping property is actually useful now. No need for the armor strip over just hitting the enemy with double dipped roar heat. This build just requires too much IMO. Sky high energy costs when using her 4 over say Roar, no flow, no dispensary, low range, high cast time with 4, and on top of that your turret damage is capped... Thankfully Protea can still get away with this because her 1 makes her basically immortal and damage is never an issue but I don't think this build is worth it at all and after trying it I think it makes one of the easiest, most chill and strongest frames, a hassle to play. So all in all, if compared to a simple Roar over 4 build, you have lower damage, less range, more difficult energy economy, animation time issues, less to provide for your squad (no dispensary and no roar!), just to not have to recast your 2. Idk chief it just doesn't sound good to me I want to recommend you some other hard-buffed build. Citrine can now use Health Conversion with Arcane Battery to become incredibly tanky and get more energy than with primed flow, meaning you can ditch flow. This frees a modslot (modslot > arcane for warframes tbh) so you can fit more strength or range. Also she is not held back by lacking armor strip anymore either, heat status builds on her are absolutely crazy with Roar. Plus Cold works well with her 4 to boost crit damage. That said cold crit boost is flat, I'm very disappointed but its still really good. Latron got a new shiny mod in Semi-Rifle Cannonade and its just perfect with Citrine. Ive tried using cold with Latron, Semi Rifle Cannonade and Primary Frostbite, its pretty potent but I'm not sure if it beats the old meta necessarily. The added 90% multishot feels amazing though (get incarnon in like a shot with all multishot mods) and with the semi rifle trigger changes the Latron has become my favorite. Also try Gara. That frame is broken. Finally not held back by armor anymore, its the start of a new age. I think Nova + Felarx might be worth revisiting too. Mirage is also very happy with armor changes!! Weapon platform build with total eclipse and hall of malevolence, with the Sporelacer or some other aoe weapon (even Synoid Simulor got hard buffed by magnetic changes). Just make sure to have enough range so that Total Eclipse can fit your clones into its range. When using with Sporelacer I like to put Secondary Fortifier for the added survivability because you are definitely not lacking in damage. Sadly Sporelacer cant use semi-pistol cannonade, idk why but it just is that way Smoge Also Im too uninterested in Chroma but ice chroma with arcane battery and secondary surge. He needs a spamable low cost ability from helminth to trigger secondary surge though. Fire blast is quite good, maybe ice wave too? He's also very happy that he's not held back by lacking armor strip anymore. Ive though about weapon choices for this kinda build, maybe a Synth Charge alt fire based Plinx? Could be interesting, but I'm not familiar with the exact math behind it Also please make a video about Ophanims Eyes, I would love to hear your thoughts and which frame do you think its good on. I think Dagath (get rid of her 4, focus on spreading doom with her abilities, add onto the debuffs with Ophanims), Chroma, Wisp, Dante, all naturally build some range strength to really use it well (and lack armor strip). Nova could be cool. Roar is always tough competition though. Sorry for long comment but I love your videos even if I didn't like this build that much, keep up the great work
“Why do people think this augment is bad?” It makes the turret weak as hell, forces you to use proteas most annoying ability (potentially giving up a helminth ability if you don’t want to lose dispensary), forces you to run TWO underwhelming augments to be functional thus weakening other parts of your build. Please DE remove the stupid anchor requirements from proteas augments
@@kyaii I did watch the whole vid. I know you can disable it but when I forget.....well shit. I run protea 2-3 hrs of survival farming and I'm bound to forget something. I just hope they remove the animation and instantly teleport you to the starting point of the skill.
Oh yeah I can se why this would be strong now, its literally a mobile armor strip turret to an already strong dmg dealing turret. Forced to use Temporal Anchor tho is EEEHHHHH, maybe I'd just use Xaku at that point.
@@azridhxduo5951 i subsumed it on his 3 because since you already run heavy strength and range on xaku jades armor strip and slow is very mobile with xaku
This looks great. However I'm still not going to use Temporal Anchor 😂 Maybe if there was an augment that made it function more like similar abilities in other games where it's always active and puts you a few seconds backwards I'd consider it, but as it is spending all that time waiting for the rewind is just too much to make for enjoyable gameplay.
Alternatively, you could just use Pillage and cast turrets as you move... or Roar for the double dip on heat since armor is a non issue after the changes. This feels too convoluted for the gain, not to mention everyone and their mother hates temporal anchor and having to cancel it.
As neat as this is it just seems like this is more of a buffer set up for your ocucor rather than actually killing enemies mostly with turrets, which is the main reason i dont like this augment. I love temporal erosion since it can allow the turrets to do so much more on their own but this new augment doesnt really do anything to increase killing potential with turrets.
@@kyaii I have tested it out a decent bit now and with a similar build to yours, i just find placing a set and forget turret with a heat inherit ogris with temporal erosion to be generally stronger, and if in a more campy mission can use proboscis cernos to group up enemies too and apply viral but I should mention when im playing protea i go for a full blaze artillery set up and forego using weapons to do any killing cause i prefer the artillery itself to shine than getting any weapon kills or damage.
I’ve probably watched this video 50 times, and I can’t recommend this guy enough for guides. I swapped constitution for primed flow but besides that this build is incredible. Ngl protea is busted as hell
Curious about the damage comparisons between: • The classic Roar build • This Temporal Anchor build • And a build with Orphanim Eyes over her 4, casted at her 100% Ability Strength Passive Edit: Reading up on the Orphanim Eyes ability. You can Tap-recast the ability before its Duration ends, and it will refresh the Duration. So, now I pose a question, if you're paying attention to the Duration, and you Tap-recast before the Duration ends, will it still keep the 100% Ability Strength bonus, from the original cast, without needing the Passive to be available again?
Most likely yes. It seems like a similar mechanic to chromas vex armor, and titanias razorwing. Once the ability is activated, the strength should be "snapshotted" until the ability ends.
I made two different builds for her. If I'm holding a spot or long survival, I will remove anchor for barrage and have fun with Protea. If I want to use her in normal missions, this is great for her. It adds to a weapons platform version of her. So one build for holding, this build for mobility and regular short missions
Used the build last night in my third config. It's still clunky (on controller) as is any build using Temporal Anchor. If disengaging without rewind was a tap instead of a hold it would honestly change the entire feel of the build. Beyond that, it is super strong, especially against Grineer. I blitzed through a SP Exterminate event mission last night and had two of the people on he team ask me WTF I did to Protea.🤣 My only wish would be to have more energy, but its really hard to do on this build.
I'm sad they didn't change the rewind animation on her 4 with the release of her Prime. It's just way too inconvenient compared to other methods of shedding status effects. If the rewind was maybe just 1-2 seconds long, it would be bearable, but the current implementation is super annoying and frankly somewhat dizzying if you keep using it repeatedly.
I just REALLY REALLY DESPERATELY wish that the sound effect for temporal anchor kicked in with like 3 seconds remaining instead of 1. I like to just chill and talk with friends when I’m playing warframe and giving me just a single second to react every 20 seconds is so tedious. And the penalty for failing is a 10 second animation that puts me super far away from where I want to be. If the sound effect kicked in just a tiny bit sooner I wouldn’t mind it nearly as much.

Is there a easier way to get her augment mods or do I have to be rank 5 with a faction
Nope DE, I won't use that ability.
agree with everything except for one thing - the title, protea definitely isn't "the strongest" frame but she's up there, great vid however, explained everything pretty well
run 2 emerald archon shards for armor strip and run prime flow u dont need temporal erosion
well you don't need 2 green shards when you have temporal erosion

How could you got 201 duration while I only got 156 duration with the exact setup?
Shards as I say in the video

Suggestion for DE: Exilus Augment Mod for Protea that makes her Temporal Anchor NOT rewind
god no
we don't need another 3rd augment that make it a must
she needs Prime sure footed as Getting staggered sucks and getting ping ponged is death sentence

Protea just gets stronger every update, it's frankly quite silly.
Bad new Augment

Wtf is with these cringe ahh clickbait titles? "Strongest warframe" as if thats actually a thing.
Protea is arguably one of the strongest.
Imagine if "cancelling" Anchor caused the location rewind, and letting it expire gives you the explosion at your current position...
It does, but no explosion, energy is refunded
I like the idea of using Protea's passive on subsumed Ophanim Eyes
How well does that build work?
Ah the slightly worse xaku.
ℕ𝕠𝕥 𝕘𝕠𝕟𝕟𝕒 𝕝𝕚𝕖, 𝕪𝕠𝕦 𝕚𝕤 𝕨𝕣𝕠𝕟𝕘... 𝕀 𝕝𝕚𝕜𝕖 𝕔𝕒𝕜𝕖 𝕥𝕠 𝕥𝕙𝕠𝕦𝕘𝕙!
So 2 augments to make her a weaker xaku? Nah ill pass :3
now thats some high quality content
MOM i want XAKU! Mom: We have Xaku at home
Xaku at home:
Idk chief it just doesn't sound good to me
I want to recommend you some other hard-buffed build.
Sadly Sporelacer cant use semi-pistol cannonade, idk why but it just is that way Smoge
Also Im too uninterested in Chroma but ice chroma with arcane battery and secondary surge. Could be interesting, but I'm not familiar with the exact math behind it
Also please make a video about Ophanims Eyes, I would love to hear your thoughts and which frame do you think its good on. Sorry for long comment but I love your videos even if I didn't like this build that much, keep up the great work
3:28 correction overshields do not effect the sheild gate duration.
Just admit Temporal anchor is Prism guard on copium.
“Why do people think this augment is bad?” It makes the turret weak as hell, forces you to use proteas most annoying ability (potentially giving up a helminth ability if you don’t want to lose dispensary), forces you to run TWO underwhelming augments to be functional thus weakening other parts of your build. Please DE remove the stupid anchor requirements from proteas augments
what I hate about temporal anchor so much is the rewind effect at the end of the skill. Its very disorienting let alone annoying in endless missions.
You can disable it! Watch the whole video
@@kyaii I did watch the whole vid. I know you can disable it but when I forget.....well shit. I run protea 2-3 hrs of survival farming and I'm bound to forget something.
I just hope they remove the animation and instantly teleport you to the starting point of the skill.
I just wish her 4th ability didnt yoink her back by default, and just gave the option to rewind her if you pressed 4 again.
YEP big dissopointment its tied AGAIN to her 4

It’s funny how it doesn’t make temporal anchor actually good, it’s just a prerequisite.
Only reason I don't like this is that it's just Grasp of Lohk with extra steps and caveats.
Oh yeah I can se why this would be strong now, its literally a mobile armor strip turret to an already strong dmg dealing turret. Forced to use Temporal Anchor tho is EEEHHHHH, maybe I'd just use Xaku at that point.
it wasn't as bad as i thought it would be once i started using it a lot!

Updated equinox when bro 😭😭 you’ve brought her up a bunch in past videos, but no updated builds
I'm working on it now! Perfected episodes take awhile
This looks great.
However I'm still not going to use Temporal Anchor 😂
Maybe if there was an augment that made it function more like similar abilities in other games where it's always active and puts you a few seconds backwards I'd consider it, but as it is spending all that time waiting for the rewind is just too much to make for enjoyable gameplay.
Alternatively, you could just use Pillage and cast turrets as you move... or Roar for the double dip on heat since armor is a non issue after the changes. This feels too convoluted for the gain, not to mention everyone and their mother hates temporal anchor and having to cancel it.
Been waiting for this insane build video
Cool build will try but xaku with extra steps
As neat as this is it just seems like this is more of a buffer set up for your ocucor rather than actually killing enemies mostly with turrets, which is the main reason i dont like this augment. I love temporal erosion since it can allow the turrets to do so much more on their own but this new augment doesnt really do anything to increase killing potential with turrets.
Gameplay may not show how much it's actually doing due to damage number clutter but try using it with just the turret active, it kills easily
@@PrimedLaundrySaucei tried this and ogris is actually so good with this build
I’ve probably watched this video 50 times, and I can’t recommend this guy enough for guides. I swapped constitution for primed flow but besides that this build is incredible. Ngl protea is busted as hell

Curious about the damage comparisons between:
• The classic Roar build
• This Temporal Anchor build
• And a build with Orphanim Eyes over her 4, casted at her 100% Ability Strength Passive
Edit: Reading up on the Orphanim Eyes ability.

I've tried so much to like Protea but I just can't.
Weakest Saryn or Khora player would like to have a word with you over the title
I made two different builds for her. If I'm holding a spot or long survival, I will remove anchor for barrage and have fun with Protea. If I want to use her in normal missions, this is great for her. It adds to a weapons platform version of her. So one build for holding, this build for mobility and regular short missions
Used the build last night in my third config. It's still clunky (on controller) as is any build using Temporal Anchor. If disengaging without rewind was a tap instead of a hold it would honestly change the entire feel of the build.
Beyond that, it is super strong, especially against Grineer. I blitzed through a SP Exterminate event mission last night and had two of the people on he team ask me WTF I did to Protea.🤣 My only wish would be to have more energy, but its really hard to do on this build.
what's your ocucor build?
I'm sad they didn't change the rewind animation on her 4 with the release of her Prime. It's just way too inconvenient compared to other methods of shedding status effects.
If the rewind was maybe just 1-2 seconds long, it would be bearable, but the current implementation is super annoying and frankly somewhat dizzying if you keep using it repeatedly.
Whats the ocucor build?

my protea around basically those two augments ( turn it by your side as well as able to strip armor)
Just wanna put it out there... your Protea fashion is gucci uwu
