Glad you mentioned about 3d printers. When I first started I didn't knew about it which caused me to put more effort in other parts. It is really helpful and I see most of the people and guides miss it.
Kelvin is like the silent dumb looking friend in the school that everyone ignores but on the most important days he comes out as the savior of all... :-)
I don't see anything surprisingly new in this update but this is one of the games that was totally worth my money and time I spent. Got it last year and was hooked for several months. Truly a masterpiece 🥶
If having trouble, try starting a new game on Peaceful difficulty and spend few hours learning how inventory/combining things works and how building stuff works
Exploring caves is also equally important but make sure you're fully ready for that. And also keep Kelvin alive I killed him for no reason and suffered later.
Nicely explained, I wanted to start again but this time with some sort of extra knowledge. Though I knew most of the things I didn't knew about the 3d printers. Thanks anyways ✌️
@@alcineofficial yes i found the song i was looking for by going to the link in the description and listening to all the songs there under the synthwave section

Can you build a base in this game that will keep all enemies out? That they can't break into? Currenlty playing valheilm and I'm dreading continuing the game even though I really enjoy it. Just because I don't want to deal with late game enemies coming over to destroy my carefully built base etc. I spent more time fortifying the base and digging a huge trench around my giant base that I flattened and dug out than playing the game. Only to find out late game enemies don't really care much since they just fly over it.
I'm confused. I am in need of loot. But every fight I get into I just get overwhelmed. I am stuck in this loop of "Need loot -> should explore -> no health -> stay where its mostly safe at base -> need meds -> should explore -> no health -> die"
I had same thing happen to me and key was to start a new game and play on Peaceful difficulty for a few hours to learn how everything works - then once comfortable with it start another new game on regular difficulty. Absolutely have to learn all of this or your dead meat! How to use Kelvin to do stuff like collect sticks or make a quick shelter so you can save the game and sleep. How the minimap and health/stamina system works and how food and water and lack of it affects your health and stamina, how to map hotkeys and quickly switch between your gear, how to use the inventory screen to combine things into very useful stuff like spears and bow and arrows and torches, and how to open pouches. I’d then spend several hours learning how building things works. Open the building book and when it’s on right side it’s just instructions on what you need to do to make a fire or whatever, when book is open on left side it’s easier as just have to left click on whatever want to make and then place template in world and add whatever logs/sticks it says are needed. The key when building things without a template is that it’s all contextual - if have a stick in hand and look at ground you will see dotted outline of two sticks which means if left click you’ll break the stick in half, useful for building a fire, when holding stick and looking at ground right click once and the outline will change from two broken halves to a small circle which means if you then left click you’ll plant the stick in the ground. If you then get your axe out and look at top of stick you’ll see white arrows pointing in either direction - if left click you’ll bend stick over 45 degrees and sharpen it - now you have a basic defensive spike! If then pick up a big rock by holding down E and walk over and look down to spike you’ll see dotted outline at spike base, if left click you’ll place big rock there and that makes spike stronger! Hahahah woot, man that’s a lot of typing for a simple thing! After you learn all this and more, practice a bit and then start a new game and don’t waste any time, immediately find a good spot near fresh water that is defensible, put some fish traps in water or ask Kelvin to get fish for you, then build whatever shelter you want, big or small, but have to put a wall up around it leaving enough room so can build a fire and drying rack or whatever want and add some spikes like you see in this video 😅
I turned it off when I saw people crawling in the dark on the trees, and I had no shelter. They came after I decided to kill a mutated female in a white dress. I thought she was hunting me.
@@alcineofficial Excellent. Found people to play with. So I've restarted again, essentially on play through 4, barely made progress, where I haven't got a turtle shell, pot, or printer to help me keep clean water yet. Just haven't progressed that far. Did run across a golf cart b4 I swapped to a multi server
@@alcineofficial I've taken a look (it had been a year or so since I'd really tried to play). It looks like the system has improved. I still struggle a bit with how custom structures like walls are set up now. I guess I preferred the old system from the first game where you laid out a blueprint of the whole thing. I know that had its issues too but I was used to it.
I remember playing this previous year with my brother. We had a lot of fun and looks like I need to start it again with this new update.
Of course it is time to play it again!
Some games are meant to be played again and this game comes on that list

Great to hear!

Yeah like most of the people kill him in the start
Are you Kelvin?
Thanks for keeping it simple and informative without stretching unusual things!!
You're so welcome!
Thanks for these tips, i just got the game and was a little overwhelmed. It's tougher than i expected!
Glad I could help!
Another tip is to use log to create a block in flowing water so that you can get more fish. This is specially helpful when you're starting out.
Cool, thanks
Agreed I tried it as an experiment now I kill fish upstream and they float into my dam for collecting when I return to base.

Yeah, the more than update it is kind of a full release!
Also use ziplines if you want to make log transport easy and much faster. Helped me a lot during my playthrough!
Thanks for adding
Probably one of the best devs out there that really care about their game and the community. Surely gonna play it after the update rolls.
Indie studio I guess?
Fiiiinally got a PC so this has come in hella handy, cheers man
Have fun buddy :)
Perfect timing I was just going to start it after the new update. One of the best survival game no doubt.
Agree!
This game was already good and this update just made it great, specially the proximity chat.
Agree the update is good imo
..... and that's how a beginners guide should be made ;-)
Thanks man!
If you dont see green markers for story progression, it's because they've made the progression icons have ACTUAL icons to show which bunker they are.
Oh sounds genuine thanks for the help!

That's a great thing to add, thanks again @StreetComp!
@@alcineofficial thanks :) kinda funny the person who I wrote that book for didn’t say anything but maybe they got some help from it
My pleasure!

Yeah, but I didn't add that as people will get confused

Both single player and multiplayer

If you keep losong track of Kelvin or virginia just place a gps tracker on them and you will be able to see them on your map.
That sounds good never thought of that
Like parents putting trackers on their kids😂😂😂
