The thing is, Snufkin could be totally sincere here. Part of his philosophy is that it’s better not to own too many material things, and he’s happy with just the memory of beautiful things without needing to own them. He could be genuinely thanking her for letting him see something so beautiful and easily remembered. And now he has that memory and doesn’t need to look at it any more. Back to fishing!

I love this, his personality is COMPLETELY different from the Polish dub that I grew up on. He wasn't that snarky, he was more kind, aloof and mysterious, like he knew life more than you and has known hardships, but only told you the good parts of his travels. This guy is a straight up a**hole sometimes lol
The Finnish voice acting was similar, Finnish Snufkin is pretty much an archetype of stoic and mysterious traveler who doesn't want any attachments but is still empathetic. It's always interesting how just differences in voice and tone can alter character's personality with more or less same scripts.
