- Have you tried knitting socks with WOODEN 9 inch circular needles? I have, and I’ll share my opinion of them in this #vlogtober crafty vlog. I also open my Samhain ( Halloween) yarn box from Irish based indie yarn dyer Fine Leaf Fibres- so skip to 3.05 minutes in if you also purchased this box & don’t want spoilers. I’m wearing the Winter Crop sweater by Jessie Maed Designs, and my main yarn is the beautiful Sunspots colourway from @FiberHustle - and check out their fun knitting and sewing podcast too!! The other yarns used were from Hobbii #knitting
Ohhh, those stitch stoppers are just adorable! And lovely yarn. Hello to Tom and the pups! And fingers crossed no side effects!
I'm pretty ok, but the covid booster arm still has a large angry red swollen welt 30 hours later 🙄 Keeping my eye on it and not scratching though it itches 😆
😊Love the green
Love the colour of your Winter Crop and those needle stoppers are grand
Thank you! 🤗
Thank you for talking about your socks. I’ve been working with fabrics and sewing for quite a while now. I’m ready to get back into knitting. Love seeing your progress. Cutest spooky mug!!
Thanks Jillian! Sewing is still on my to-try list- #1 on it in fact. Enjoy picking up your knitting again 1🤗
I might try those needles.😊😊😊
Oh wow. That yarn!!
I know, right!! I love her yarns, very hard to resist
Love all the orange.❤
😀🧡🧡🧡
Nice to see you. Loved seeing shep! Unfortunately I forgot your other dogs name😮! Hi to him too!
Hello! Her name is Mimi, and she also says hello 🐾🐾🤗
❤❤❤
I stumbled upon your channel through a TH-cam recommendation, and I'm here to stay. As for the pumpkin spice, it's quite easy to mix together. Of course, I can't say if any of these are common in Ireland, but I think they should be easy to get.
3tbsp (21g) ground cinnamon
2tsp (5g) ground ginger
1.5tsp (3g) ground nutmeg
1tsp (3g) ground cloves
1tsp (2g) ground allspice
Hope it helps!
Welcome, and thank you! I can get all those & will definitely make my own up then once my jar runs out 🤗
Hi, I'm new to sock knitting. I have only made 2 pairs so far. I use Knit Pro symfonie 9 inch needles. I find that these are the best for me. I struggle with the heel turn bit, though. I hope you will be ok after your jabs. I go for mine next Thursday. Take care and keep warm. Happy knitting. 😊
Hi Valerie, I understand the heel flap struggle! I couldn't really get on with the heel flap & gusset, so I tried the Shadow Wrap Heel & I love it! So much easier for me, and fits me well. Have you tried it? Denise of the Earthtones Girl channel has a free tutorial video for it. Good luck with your upcoming shots! 🤗
@@wildcottageknitting thank you so much for your reply. No I haven't tried the shadow wrap heel but I'll go and look it up now. I will definitely try it next time. That's great thanks. I'm enjoying watching your Vlogtobers.
I’m getting my flu and Covid booster on October 23rd. Not looking forward to the experience but glad to be getting it out of the way! Hope you don’t have much reaction 🤞
Not bad, thankfully, just sore and red on the Cvd shot arm still. Hope yours are uneventful!
I got my shots too Susan. I was grand but the flu arm was really tender. Hope you’re okay
Yeah! My covid arm is still very red and itchy even today. 😝
What’re your favorite yarn/handcraft stores in the US when you visit your family? I’m headed there next week (from AL) for vacation and I want to pop into a few stores if we have time.
I've only been to a very few in person- something I must remedy LOL! In Williamsburg Va, there were 2, but 1 closed, so now there is just the one a few miles outside of Williamsburg proper, in Lightfoot. It is Yarn Matters & I’ve bought some fab yarns there. I've also been to The Salty Sheep on the coast of North Carolins, in Swansboro, which was very nice. We came across it because we drove past it on the way to Emerald Isle- lol we just had to check out an island with that name. 😂
