Such a beautiful song. It had to be difficult for them both to stand there and sing together after their divorce, seeing Tammy and George wiping tears near the end. It doesn't matter whether your famous or poor divorce is not easy for anybody. I know from experience you fall in love and think this is it for you and years later it turns out it just wasn't meant to be. I commend them for coming together to sing this song for their fans.
I noticed the same thing and wonder if she would have been better off with George Jones than going through so much with her other marriages, especially her last marriage. She had aged so much while in the last marriage and if you view the videos of her at her last appearance at the Grand Old Opry you can tell a difference in her personality and she had aged so much for her age.
You could tell that they loved each other, but I could not stay with someone who was an alcoholic or drug addict.
