Hey , can you do a review of the trucker jacket as well . I am sure there are a lot more people interested in picking one up. the Levi's x RE motorcycle denim jacket.
Hi Rohit Thanks for making this review it was helpful but i have a question which i think you can answer. Our typical riding pants which are available in India don't fit me well because of my long legs and most of the time the inseams looks bulky. I was looking for a riding jeans and i am confused between Bikerrati Riding Jeans and the Levis Pro Jeans. Does the pro model of Levi's jeans will be good in touring ?
Tushar Singh, the inseam length on all of these Levi’s RE jeans is 32 inches - would that fit you? I’m yet on the heftier side and need a size 38. I’m 5”8 and as you can see in the video I had to fold it by an inch to get the length right. But the knee armour was pretty much in place, though I would have liked it to be a centimetre higher. As for your question on touring, yes these would be comfortable. But they won’t be as safe as a full cordura or leather pants when it comes to protecting you in case of a fall at highway speeds - even if you put CE Level 2 armour in them. I would suggest you look at the Rev’it Sand 3 or Air Wave 2 riding pants - perfect for touring in India. They do Short, Medium and Long lengths for all of their sizes and High Note Performance in Delhi should be able to order a pair for you. They usually match the European pricing too.
I wouldn’t recommend do Ladakh with these. 1. Their protection is good enough for falls at city speeds. In Ladakh, there are plenty of fast sections too and these may not be good enough if you were to go down. 2. You need something with better weather protection too, which these pants aren’t going to be good for.
This is a very nice review.... but the availability at stores for try on is still a tough task... I have been vying for them for a while now and still didnt get it at any stores in Kolkata.... I use the Zeus Dark Rider and it comes with Level 2 knee and Level 1 Hip at much lower price point and are a very decent pair to have.... they even use YKK and the knee slot is adjustable....
Take a belt sander and hold it to the butt portion of this denim for 5 seconds and you will see the results. Now the same will happen if you slide on your arse for 10 meters @ 50 km speed. Keeping in mind the road surface conditions in India. These jeans are just a cheap gimmick, like all other riding jeans sold by Royal Enfield. Why could Royal Enfield not work out a deal with any of the top riding gear manufacturers to invent something for the Indian market ??? The answer is simple, quality cost money. Levis have no expertise in manufacturing riding denim, so my advice is.......... kindly stay away ! Do not believe what the label says, cos labels are misleading and only meant to save the arse of most Indian manufacturers and not yours. Your arse is worth more than that of the man in charge of merchandise @ Royal Enfield !
True that. I would trust any riding denims fir speeds beyond 50kmph. Which is why I said that these are a budget buy for typical city commutes. For anything that will be of higher speeds, or for those wanting better protection, it’s better to choose purpose built cordura or leather gear from a reputed brand.
@@stankropiunik2539 Thanks . I was zeroing in on Bikerrati. There are some ships here in Mumbai having these types else should be able to get online. Any suggestions for riding pants - Brand model ?
@@ajaj8398 If you live in Mumbai and mostly ride around Maharashtra, Gujrat, Goa, South India, then forget about Riding pants, they are just too hot, uncomfortable and cumbersome. A good pair of riding denims of quality would suffice. But it also depends on the sort of bike you ride. If you have a 1000cc rocket and hit supersonic speeds, then, riding pants are required. But if you ride a slow and steady long-distance touring horse, then riding jeans anyday.
I was looking to get a pair for myself too! So this review came at the right time! Thanks for uploading a nice and crisp review covering most of the important points. Looking forward to more variety of reviews. By the way, I am looking for a detailed review between Tiger 800 XCX vs Africa Twin 2020 AS DCT version (Yes, DCT🙈). Particularly, pros and cons of DCT. Pls do share your views.

Can we do ladakh with only these riding gears
No, you would riding pants with thermal liners to withstand the cold.

@@rohit_paradkar it mean it not for off-road traveling only for daily use
why only india available 512 levis x re? i want to order but i dont know how they have no shipping to philippines
Do you recommend this pant for pillion also ??
Yes, why not. But the safety parameters remain the same - don’t use it for highway, touring, sport riding etc. They are only good for city use.

Is it a narrow bottom fit ?
Yes it is
Is it waterproof ?
As mentioned @3:10, these pants aren’t waterproof
