GDS2 can only work on win 7 64 bit and win 8 64 bit,Tech2win can work on both win7/win8/XP 32bit and 64 bit.
tech2win freezes when attempting to establish a connection to my 2005 chevy silverado. it asks for the radio it has, then the type of hvac it has, and then freezes.

Hello, what Windows did you use to install these softwares, on your laptop? Did you use Windows 7, 8, 9, 10, or 11? Or, does it matter which one you use?

Can you reflash modules on 2012 Cadillac CTS coupe as well as others with this or should I look at purchasing Tech 2 or MDI, dealership are ridiculous and charge per module to reflash 😮

Im getting an error E4403 once I try adding the vehicle. I tried all the updates, tried skipping the updates, etc. And still will not work. Im on Windows 7 64bit. Any help would be appreciated.
did you install passthru and GM VCI driver?
Upon opening GDS2, I get the message "No valid lease found"

I don't even own a PC or tuning laptop with a CDROM Drive. In fact I don't know anyone who still owns a PC that uses them anymore. This is 2021, for the price you pay it could at least come with a USBDrive for the software. All the software on the website is outdated and a pain in the ass to install. I don't doubt it would be an awesome tool. But the software off the website crashes every time I try to do anything in the BCM Options. My actual Tec2 works just fine.
GDS2/tech2win is PC based program. A second-hand laptop is very cheap. Download latest sw, vx manager and patch, follow guides and installation is not that difficult
@@LiuyangOBD365 Way ahead of you, I build custom PC's and Software programing as a hobby. Program works fine when it wants too. 9 times out of 10 when you execute a command inside tec2win the program will Crash To Desk Top. Format/Fresh Win Install and updated drivers did not fix the issue. Its an issue within the downloadable software itself. Website is a pain in the ass to navigate and a couple of the download links are broken or at least they were in November. Now, that being said I have a friend with the same tool and it works fine on his older laptop. But I'm not going to run out and buy another older used laptop when I actually have a Tec2 in my garage. Just being honest, With a program redesign this would be an awesome tool to have as its more compact, easy to store and way more affordable then a Tec2 for the average person.

here is a video demo th-cam.com/video/8wFChuwUfew/w-d-xo.html . but GM now has changed to a new Techline Connect SPS2 platform. The setup is a little bit different, programming procedure is the same.

@@LiuyangOBD365 Thanks, I was able to use the device as a pass through for gm techline sps to reprogram the software in the used ebcm but I still have a b3902 code in the ebcm stating Incorrect Immobilizer Identifier Received. Not sure how to change the Identifier in the ebcm. Theres no ebcm reprogramming option in the IMMO section. Not sure if I need to reprogram the BCM IMMO or not. The car still starts and runs fine with no engine light. I dont know where to go from here.

for TIS2000, you need a tech2. vxdiag comes with gds2 and tech2win software only
Regarding GDS2, when I attempt to connect the device it won’t let me connect as a MDI2?
did you install the VX Manager and Passthru driver?
OBDII365 sales yes. I figured out the problem was GM MDI must be installed before vx manager.
THIS PRODUCT IS A SCAM. try to download the software, some is just broken links, the others have viruses.
it works once you get software installed. disable anti-virus program before installing software. check latest 2023.10 version installation video, it is easier
@LiuyangOBD365 I have a windows 7 company i bought specifically for this software. Then I find out GDS2 won't run 2023.10.19 (I keep getting error) which all you can find online. How do I find a compatible version now..help :(
