They need to make a new 'house of the dead' game, maybe a focus on PSVR? or two VR headset and guns? Fuse time crisis's split screen gameplay into two VR headset with actual 'dodging' by bobbing your head out of the way? Knock back the dead by actually 'attacking' air in real life? Making the 'on rails' experience even more challenging by using sound and 180 degrees of vision to find and destroy enemies before they sneak up on you? You could even do a TV + PSVR 2 player co-op mode where the player using the TV is sniping enemies while moving from point to point, while fending off enemies local to him with a 'pistol', and the PSVR player is on point taking out enemies up close and needs support from the other player to help.
dra6o0n Not a bad suggestion. A game sort of did tha before though. It was a sort of cops-and-robbers game, and you could choose from 4 people - 3 were the same, and a SWAT personnel. That was a arcade game that uses sensor bar to simulate your body's pose, to look from cover. In that game, you play as a police officer with LIMITED ammo, using old fashioned snub revolvers, sort of like Hong Kong Police. And if you get shot, in ANY form, your officer will be KIA, and you play as a new one that takes his place. I believe that game is incredibly hard because the enemy AI are pretty accurate and you have to be smart in popping out of cover to fire at them. I remember another Japanese arcade game where they use the same sort of sensor bar, but to simulate sword swings from a foam sword, that sensor exist in 3 dimensions like a little window in front of you, and you swing your sword into the space of the window for it to register. The Cop shooting simulator (because of the level of hardcore difficulty) instead has that sensor bar panel above and beside you, covering your entire body like a doorway Or a rectangular arch you are inside of.

Kate being a follower of James throughout the game only to lead his brother in the next game creates a really nice dynamic to her character development. James has a really nice character in this game especially considering the look and voice of his previous character. The levels follow eachother really well. Although I wish splitting paths had more of an impact like in hotd 2 and 1, it's still a neat feature. The bosses are as bad ass as ever (my favourite being the magician from the special DLC to the game). The design of the zombies are pretty interesting as it's something we have never seen before in the series. I love having to shake the gun to push zombies off you desperately adding fear to the playthrough. The ending to the game is a little lackluster but it's refined and fixed thanks to the previously mentioned special DLC. Having G return as a character is genius and builds more to the lore. I personally feel like of all the games in the series, I think 4 has the best voice acting in the entire arcade series while still keeping the hammy dialogue from the player characters. Also Goldman sounds great. I kinda wish Scarlet Dawn stuck with voice acting on this level. I swear, Kate sounds so bored in that game.
Highly wit ya on that part. Sega should've brought back the original voice actress of this game for Kate Green in Scarlet Dawn. Also, James Taylor had a brother called Dan Taylor (right hand man to Thomas Rogan in his commando militia in HotD 3) so why in TF didn't Scarlet Dawn brought back Dan instead of having Ryan Taylor. And get the voice actor who did Dan Taylor back from HotD3! Goldman did creep me out in this game thanks to good writing, direction and having a proper voice actor. If House of the Dead 2 had a remake, I'd love it to be in the same graphics, gameplay and direction of HotD 4 and bringing back the James Taylor from HotD 4 to lead a cast of other proper voice actors to play the other characters (with the Goldman from HotD 4 filling in the laughing-stock Goldman from HotD 2).
20:17 "How the heck are we supposed to fight this many?" I might be remembering it wrong, but I'm sure two grenades kills the lot of them. So that's one way.
I used to rock the the 2nd in arcades inside shitty malls all the time. That and Lethal Enforcers and Area 51. Oh and the Terminator arcade! That one was awesome.
I assume the pants became part of it. Turned organic like part of its skin. I also think he might have been the gang leader and his crew were subjects explaining why so many wear similar clothes.
@@pepsimanv6124 Temperance is a tarot card. All of the bosses in HotD are named after tarot cards. Temperance in general is staying calm. Sorry if you already know this and this is patronising but I honestly couldn't tell whether you did by your comment.
GOLDMAN DIED IN HOUSE OF THE DEAD 2! HE FELL OFF A BUILDING. THE BAD ENDING IS GOLDMAN AS A ZOMBIE, INDICATING HE DIED. Maybe in the good ending he staged his death.
Harry did mention that Goldman was an expert at the Genome theory so its likely he experimented in himself before hotd 2 took place, or the mystery man revived his body.
Maybe i'm wrong, but the final boss in THOTD 3; the Wheel of Fate; wasn't supposed to be Goldman? The Father of one of the main protagonist later in the game?
I'm retarded so he held the entirety of humankind secluded northwards, all according to a plan that was to take place after his death? geez, talk about a prospective lifestyle.
I played this game at some arcade and made it to the last boss but I had to leave bc they were closing the arcade for the night so I didn't get to beat him.
Shame! I actually beat this game in the arcades, as I initially presumed that it would never receive a home console release. I took me £6 to beat it, but I eventually won. Good times. :)
I'd love to see all the House Of The Dead games remade and on proper consoles like XBox,ps3,ps4 and maybe even ps5,the graphics on those consoles would be absolutely brilliant 👏
Humanity is doomed if boss 1 was in real life. It's terrifying to imagine if you were on their spot. Water below you reduces your speed in running. You can't run very fast on a narrow place with a shallow water. Then if it grabs you, it's not like shaking in struggle. In real life, they should be dead by now.
They have a portable jew in her pocket and everything just load like milk and honey :p and you have coleman on the right pocket and hed say " what you talking about!!!!!"

The amount of zombie types in this game it's crazy btw
Which reminds me.
Where is Gary anyway?
Probably retired.
andddd also dead. maybe 😉
What about Amy and Harry? 🤔
@@Yoojin89 probably died or something
@@EdPlays1997 he appears in some comics Sega published. He's alive and well, he saved G when a horde of zombies ambushed his car.
House of the Dead, the Classic game of “Where the fuck did they come from!?”
"-Oh fuck this door is close, maybe...I can shot the door and pass.......Nah, go to the zombies and search for unlock door
-Yes! is agreat idea"
"Clasifed information room, maybe we find some information here".
Genius.
House of the dead 3 was so good , and this game was so good too
I always thought the scientist zombies clenching their heads in pain was so disturbing.
What they do then
@@dustincarl134 ?
3:33 Congratulations, finally you know it.
"The classified information room! Maybe we can find some information!" Brilliant writing.
20:17 "How the heck are we supposed to fight this many?"
I might be remembering it wrong, but I'm sure two grenades kills the lot of them. So that's one way.
James sure does reload quickly.Slight of Hand, anyone?
Ya
i challenge you deal with 5 health and dual uzi.. and only 2 credit to continue.
Sure. I'll see what I can do.
Mr. Veteran :D
***** Same will probably happen to me. ;)
that bowling ball, aim at floor and throw bomb. find the momentum to throw that bomb
Frozen Icicle
Omg I love the Arcade touch, it looks so great, I need that game right now.
I used to rock the the 2nd in arcades inside shitty malls all the time. That and Lethal Enforcers and Area 51. Oh and the Terminator arcade! That one was awesome.
Oh I loved the Terminator arcade!
I played that on my birthday with one of my schoolmates. I think we beat it actually too
this game used to give me insane nightmare as a kid
Ronnie estraca The design for Justice sticks out the most for me.
Who thinks that The World (The final boss) in its phase two, resembles a Silent Hill monster?
very hard mode:
also start with 9 lives:
i know u can change lives and dificulty seperatly but....still funny to point out
Damn I want this game sooo much. If only they sold it for the PSP. Darn..... Well aswome video anyway.
i wonder where did Temperance got its pants, how a big ass boss can find pants the right size but not us?
I assume the pants became part of it. Turned organic like part of its skin. I also think he might have been the gang leader and his crew were subjects explaining why so many wear similar clothes.
Temperance? Isnt that social bonding from Persona 5
@@pepsimanv6124 Temperance is a tarot card. All of the bosses in HotD are named after tarot cards. Temperance in general is staying calm. Sorry if you already know this and this is patronising but I honestly couldn't tell whether you did by your comment.
Dude.. i remember playing this thing with dual uzi xD.. wasted 15 coins to finish the chapters xD
Thanks for this, it takes me back even though I never made it far after beating the 1st boss.
The Father of one of the main protagonist later in the game?
tylewisable Oh. That's right.
Curien was the wheel of fate, Golsman was the world.
I'm retarded so he held the entirety of humankind secluded northwards, all according to a plan that was to take place after his death?
geez, talk about a prospective lifestyle.
I tried beating this game so many times at my local arcade with my brother when we were younger.
Good times. :)
The addition to this game on PS3 saved a lot of quarters tbh. :)
I like how the ultimate being is killed by 2 humans with guns 😂
the zombies cyborgs of the goldman's town are my favorite characters XD
Why does this guy need a gun when he can push an entire wave of zombies hes a jedi
6:01 “It’s too strong!”
Manages to shake him off
this game had the best graphics i have seen on an arcade when it came out. sad that it was never released on pc
InnerFire6213 I think it is on PC now.
Dante Vic nope. PC is never getting a port of this game
Dante Vic closest thing you can get is the rpcs3 PS3 emulator but right now it's not refined and the game runs at like 5 or 6 FPS
Rey totally true lol
7 fps for my computer with gtx 1050 and i3 :|
I'd love to see all the House Of The Dead games remade and on proper consoles like XBox,ps3,ps4 and maybe even ps5,the graphics on those consoles would be absolutely brilliant 👏
scariest arcade in my childhood.
Where do they get their unlimited ammo from?
They have a portable jew in her pocket and everything just load like milk and honey :p and you have coleman on the right pocket and hed say " what you talking about!!!!!"
Lvl100MagiKarp Splash
Tony Phu uuuuhhh its a video game
oddly deep pockets
Tony Phu they were playing call of duty zombies and they got a glitches infinite ammo that followed them were ever they go even into this
"How's THAT!" :D
DeviousZen "I GOT TO GET FREE!"
I love playing these types of games in the arcade
I miss playing Time Crisis on the ps2 now
