You took the USGS video, removed the sound, and put your own icon on it. What value did you add?

It's looking more like fissure 8 will have to be given an official name and become the new National Park.

Yep Hilo needs to watch out. This looks like becoming a new volcano in it's own right. It mightn't stop flowing until it's up to the right height. This is Magma so it's quite likely it's now got it's own magma chamber because the "hot spot' has moved relative to the island chain as it does.

Rusty wasn't evacuated. He and his hens are living wild on the property. But the horse was evacuated. Kapoho Farms is still high above the lava, as far as I know.

I’m not sure how doable that is, but one of you guys should drive around, even to the Kona side and show people that it’s still safe to vacation in Hawaii. I saw some devastating statistics about the drop in visitors... Title the video something like “Is it safe to travel to Hawai’i?”... Just a thought...

Crazy how even lava creates channels and looks like a river. I'm sure the basalt under and next to insulates very well for this to happen.

I live near Binghamton, NY where the Susquehanna and Chenango rivers meet. And what scares the hell out of me, is that this lava flow, may be wider than both, combined. I'm with everyone else praying for you folk's safety.
