That's a very Nice clean and warm sound. Bright without being harsh, strong bass without being muddy, and ample mids without losing definition or dynamics. To me, that's everything you want from a good preamp.

You connected the synth on front panel in INPUT. The rear connection you used was the mic XLR OUT or the BALANCED OUTPUT LINE TRS jack? Thanks for the video!

    1. Which setting did you like the most? 2. Can you connect the TD-100 in front of a power amp to use it as a pre-amp? Thanks for the video!

Hey there, yes definitely. It's quite nice in front of a power amp and should improve the overall gain structure and flexibility. :)

Which one did you end up using the most? How did the TD-100 compare to the Art cheapie? Thanks!

Very good question! We've been just terrible about our videos but that one is coming. Part of the reason for this (currently very limited) video series was because we were design a preamp for Rhodes. Then once we got very involved in that it stole our focus. But the ART was/is not so great. A bit too rounded off and not very detailed imo. For cheap ones we actually like this Presonus tube thing better. The one we have is not stock because we put in expensive capacitors but the design was ok.
