I’ll never understand why people get dogs just to forget about them outside. I’m so happy she got the life she should have had all along ❤
My dogs are outside by choice and hardly forgotten. I spend a lot of time outside in the yard with them, but they just check in with me and then are off doing their thing. When they want a snuggle or pets they come over fir a while, then they’re off again. I even got them a nice dog house but neither are interested in using it.
@@mlaiuppa but importantly they each have a dog friend to keep them company when you're out & about. An alone dog is a lonely dog :(
@ I’m 70 and retired. I’m rarely out and about and half the time I take them with me. I garden and they’re off snuffing stuff. They check in fir an occasional chest rub or head massage, then they’re off and I resume weeding. I too am happy she has the life she wants. Hopefully when they are 15, my two will choose to be indoor couch potatoes. I have several orthopedic dog beds around for them to choose from.
This sweet dog was always worth caring for, thank you both for seeing that and giving her a chance. Bless you all ❤❤❤❤

My rescue pittie girl, came to me at approx 2 years old, according to our vet's best guess. She just passed away at the end of October, just 5 days shy of her gotcha date/bday that we celebrate. Which would have made her about 18 years old. I am still devastated by her loss. She was my soulmate and bff. I actually just assumed she would live forever until her last couple months. She was never seriously ill even at the end, tbh.
She had puppy energy until she was about 16 and a half. And only then did I notice she began to slow down.
Not sure how you know she is 15, after all that time on the street is amazing, in itself, but just know she can have years ahead of her. Which should be even more comforting to know she will get to have time to really enjoy the time she has left.
These furbabies are amazing, I've found. She looks wonderful and she deserves ALL THE THINGS!🥰😍💙
I miss my senior pitizen. I loved her through all the 16 years she was with me. Age didn't change how I loved her or how she loved me. I'm forever grateful for every minute💙🌈🐕💙

I "fostered" a senior rescue (pomchi/corgi) and we've been bonded ever since. It's been almost 3 years together. He lived his whole life (prior to meeting me) on the streets or in a car but was largely neglected. Well, he is living his best life now and my friends think I spoil him. But he's my best friend and I know one day I will be heartbroken that he's gone. For now, it is so rewarding and heartwarming to give him a safe and loving home. I wish more people would adopt, not shop. It can change your life. And theirs!

We have a $7000 dog, named Freckles. He is half of a freakishly bonded pair, with Daisy. My mother discovered them curled around each other, in the middle of the road near our house. When we took them to the vet (since 1981), we found they had no chips, but Freckles had heart worms. This is why he is our $7,000 dog.🤗

Crying rn because this has been the experience my husband and I have had with our old blind dog! We picked her up off the street almost two years ago never thinking she was going to make it more than a couple weeks or months and now she’s aging in reverse! Everyday with our beautiful girl is a gift. ❤️❤️❤️
