The recording engineering is exceptional in these performances at St-Sernin.
I have never heard anything performed with such savage abandon. Truly wonderful!
Bravo, wonderful playing and such a magnificent instrument. I recently heard it in Toulouse; it was well worth the trip.
Magnifique interprétation. Cette Toccata est pleine de fureur. C'est d'autant plus impressionnant au regard de la faible constitution physique de Vierne. Comme quoi la force est dans le caractère. Encore bravo!
I really like the enegry in the performance! Thank you!
Absolument magistral.
Superbe!
As ever from Dupont - a faultless performance.
I'm just a chickenchaser . . . .and I just love it.
L instinct musical de j b Dupont ne s est jamais démenti.
Saint Sernin Toulouse. GO Cavaillé-Coll
Tempo idéal!
Superbe transition vers 1:30 et 2:25
Oui!
A tribute to cavaille-coll
Bravo Jean-Baptiste, you little smiling devil. And don't tell me you're not a devil. Like an old theory teacher once told me, "Go to heaven for your form, go to hell for your energy."
The 16 and the 32. Aggressive but "silvery" at the the same time:)
1898 , this was his last instrument. Ironically the church is a relative newcomer even for toulouse. I believe it was built around 1860
And not a rebuild. This is all cavaille-coll pipe work. I do believe even Frank's organ back in the day was a very poetic cavaille-coll
And that instrument's voicer was from Germany, and not france..
@@josephscutti5042 To be precise, the organ is from A.Cavaillé-Coll, inaugurated in 1889 and reusing the case and almost all the pipework from the previous organ built by Daublaine & Callinet in 1845. It was voiced by Felix Reinburg, and considered to be his masterpiece. Felix Reinburg was Alsacian.
a little a fast but awesome
welk orgel is dit?

All the furry and might of a walpurgisnacht having come. Hail, Prince of Darkness and bravo to His minion (organist) of the transmogrification.
Furry?? Perhaps fury would suffice? Also, there is no prince of darkness here, and the organist is no minion!!!
@@chucklambooy8457 Ah, crap. I thought perhaps Dupont had sold his soul to the One we shall not name. Nevertheless, amazing artistry.
