House Party had Bernie Mac, Robin Harris, Martin, Gina...so Kid n Play are legends ❤
Oh hell yeah
Even more then that TLC Immature the old chef who played in the Rocky movies n how can we forget the three man group who were legendary fr kicking some assssssss
@@RafaelPerez-kg2esFull Force
Chris Tucker
Don't forget the late and great John Witherspoon
If youre in your 40's and 50's ....at one point in your young life, Kid N Play influenced you so much that you all practiced & performed that Kid N Play foot dance or jumped over your leg in them house parties 🔥 🔥🔥🔥
Facts
And we also use to watch their cartoon on Saturdays
💯Lol me and my friends did that move in a talent show
@@sarahsimpkins1311 Trust me. That's real talk 👊🏾
@brianlarkin8208 Haha...you and all of us did their dance. Did you win the talent show though?? 🏆 🏆 🏆
Fathers don’t get enough credit. These guys are some of the best examples of success in the music industry. Still alive and matured and enjoying their fruits.
I love Class Act til this day. These dudes made it possible for rappers to star in movies.
"I thought u was gone play wit my frog" 😂. Classic!
They were actually talented and filled with charisma. So many rappers are in movies now and cant act but get opportunities because they can make us dance. Even after, they never improve as actors.
He Fat boy's too
@@RichieDavid83they not as bright or comedic as kid n play tho, they're normally in hood dramas or movies about the street
Its refreshing to see strong black fathers getting the love and respect they deserve! Salute!
These two did a lot for Hip Hop!!!
They were dope and comedy
As hell
They did...until they didn't. Does nobody remember Kid going on Fox to ridicule the fight for civil rights when George Floyd was murdered? I swear black people have memories like dead elephant.
Right
These 2 definitely have a place in hip hop history. I still love watching house party 1+2
This is HIP HOP!!!!!!!....THANK YOU KID N PLAY......and MANY more!!!! 🫡
You goofiest can hold on to the past all you want, but it’s all over now take it like a man.
Kid N Play will always be legendary. Their rap battle in House Party is one of the best moments in Hip Hop.
@@yo3rdtier128quoting 2pac at the same time telling someone to get over the past lol nice
Ngfrbr
Kid n Play represents the fun in Hip-hop! I miss that element. Ive seen House Party 100 times.
Play does. Kid lost that the day he went on Fox to ridicule black people right after George Floyd was murdered. Kid went on national TV to purposefully mock the push back against police brutality. Wake the hell up!
I've seen countless times too, and for me, it's very rare to watch a movie over and over and it never seems to get 'played out'..😅
Keyword: FUN! 👏👏👏
Legendary hip hop pioneers
We all knew kid was a little corny and we loved him for being himself. That’s what made him cool af. Not caring that he was smart.
Kid n Play was an act. He and Play were ALWAYS intelligent. As a fellow child of West Indian parents, you better have your nose in those books and still try to be in the parks and community centers and basements. I grew up on Sedgwick Avenue Bronx NY in the 70s, so I lived the culture. We went to school and graduated, and we STILL sprayed graffiti and rode our BMX bikes and breakdanced and beatboxed with our suede Pumas, Cazals, Lee jeans and shelltoes with fat laces.
@@blackeaglemj for sure!! 💯
Being smart makes you corny ?
@@shadowbanned777 please don’t come in my chat as sensitive as the new gen kids. Kid was intentionally perpetuated as being corny and we still loved him. Not because he was smart but because he was the nerdy drug free kid not from the hood. Back then he was still accepted so please understand why kid was a big deal instead of believeing being smart was a bad thing. Understand he was popular being smart so nobody had a problem. He began as the guy everyone “should” call a nerd on purpose.
@@sneakygenius6718 Kid is from Elmhurst in Queens, When he came out no one promoted drugs even though he is a big pothead. AGAIN what made him "corny" In House Party ?
Math is on a roll right now. Rolling with Kid and Play 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Facts 💯
Maff is doing it up right now... kid n play and Mike Bivins interview..I'm glad it's over here instead of vlad
Play was really like Blade Brown in real life and you woulda never knew that, and i highly respect him for that 🫡
These dudes were 1 of my favorite rap/hip-hop groups growing up in the 80s their dance moves/style was dope & they didn't sound like nobody else + they had their own cartoons/movies Kid N Play are most definitely legends...❤💯
Kid imitating his father is hilarious 😂
Duncan Pinderhughes and Blade Brown still living their best lives
Even though these guys were cool with AZ, Rich Porter,. Alpo and some other street dudes, Kid n Play stayed true to themselves. never tried to be gangster. These guys partied and had fun and wanted everyone else to have fun. I respect that.
I still jam out to Kid n Play; matter of fact, just listened to Back to Basics off of the Funhouse album a couple of days ago...lol. When I was in the sixth grade, EVERYBODY was trying to do some variation of the kick-step, whether they could dance or not. Miss those days sometimes.
Those days were special in music television and hip hop culture specially in America now days it way different
Shout out to kid and play for being Biggis FAVORITE EPISODE... I NEVER seen Big this giddy about any guests😂😂..and I watch faithfully 💪🏿💯🫡
U peeped dat too. 😂 word up.
“Last Night” is a classic I love that jawn
Kid and play was my first introduction to hip hop. Love this interview!
This is Legendary…. YA KNOW YA GOTTA GET M.O.P
Class Act was a damn biopic 😂😂😂😂
Love those guys! They always remain Humble
Dope interview!! Kid n Play are still one of my favorite duo's!! 🔥 🔥
Kid is spot on when he’s describing his dad talking to family on the phone about not knowing what to do when kids aren’t listening….I remember those conversations many of nights.
Was he also spot on when he was on Fox mocking black people, civil rights, and the push back against police brutality when George Floyd was murdered? He's the only person in Hip Hop that went on national TV (on Fox no less) with a wig on, making fun of the fight against police killing us. Wake the hell up!
@@ra2186 chill woke man. I didn’t know anything about that.
@stacksondeck515 You insult yourself when you call me woke man because all I do is stay aware of threats to me and my family. It's weird you don't do the same.
Kid N Play have come a long way and I'm glad they are still together. Their movies will always cheer me up!
Thanks guys I really needed this. This guys don’t get enough attention for what they brought to hip hop. These guys and the group ‘GUY’ ruled my jr high school days. Oh my God I love them
Class act was a classic
Love how he caught him self n said our record real homies till the end
Mecca holding it down, Kid'N'Play were those positive fun rappers🔥🔥
Mecca should be in that chair anyways , no disrespect to math at all

Ain't gone hurt nobody we're just dancing y'all
I don't know what you come to do... Memories man
I didn’t know Kid was Jamaican! Wow! This was a good segment and I’m glad that Kid N Play are in good health!!! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Kid N Play. Such a big part of our lives bro. Love to see them tell their story. I know Math must be really proud of himself for sure. Huge accomplishment!
Class Act my top 5 favorite movie ever
It so crazy I’m in my late 30s and didn’t really “grow up” with Kid N Play but I respected the footprint they left in the culture. It’s weird I can relate to every age group from 90s and later after 2000s I’m lost. I can’t relate to these young kids these days and they can’t relate to us and I see why. Somewhere along the way the grind and the similar hustle was lost that humbled and shaped us “older” generations
Word, btw I'm 50. An whole total different vibe!!!
Good to hear that the fathers was there from the beginning.
Kid and Play was ALWAYS cool.
.🎉runy. 8:30 5

Legends. I love the Kid and play cartoon. Yes, I'm that Old. Lol
I grew a High Top because of Kid and Big Daddy Kane back in the day.
I loved kid n play and there dance 🕺 😆
See how they still have the up most respect for each other’s hard work they put in to make see how they catch and correct themselves when one says my they say ours !! Salute 🫡
Kid looks like Bert
I'm glad I grew up on kid n play🎉🎉🎉✊🏿🐺
These guys paved the way with those movies,, we would rewind those vHS 📼 tapes all day & all night those were the days
I know somebody had clippers somewhere in there to line Kid the legend up
THE BEST PART OF THE CONVERSATIONS ... MEN TALKING ABOUT THEIR FATHER'S ... THE MOST IMPORTANT PERSON IN ANYONE LIFE ...
They don't get enough credit for pioneering the rapper-to-actor lane.
Kid is FUNNY AF!!!!!
Refreshing to listen to an interview without Math trying to complete everybody’s sentences.
Lmao! u outta line bro😂😂😂
Finally someone said it 😂
@@jhova187😂😂😂
Math is an excellent interviewer...he actually let's people tell their stories without interrupting them
wow.. have to say HAPPY FATHER'S DAY! salute! Kid and Play were a blueprint of hiphop music, movies, cartoons, lunchboxes ... cats really did it big
Man this is beautiful to see, especially as a kid born in 1980. These were the dudes every dude wanted to be back in the day. I know the full interview isn't out yet but i can almost guarantee there's no talk of shootouts, niggas getting killed, or any of the bs that most of these types of interviews are filled with today. Just a great story of humble beginnings and the come up. I've this, can't wait to see the whole thing.
Your not lying most rap interviews are so negative almost like a horror movie
And the most classic movies I watched still to this day over and over LOL
Respect... Seen Professor PLAY at my overnight job last year in Tallahassee. Salute. 💯
Legends of music another group that should be in rock n roll hall of fame
This THIS is going to be a dope episode, I can't wait
Hip hop culture has been ever forgotten since the late 1980's and the early 90's!!!! Thanks you! Kid n play changed everything music, reality comedy movies all time. House party 1&2 1990 and 1991and class act 1992 was the best classic ever! Y'all kicking that azz whips out! Boom love this one! From Baltimore Maryland

Good ass interview for the 50th year 🔥🔥🔥🔥

These dudes had everyone one in the world trying to do the hop over the leg step cartoon show n let's not forget till this day the corniest one alledgey as they say had niggas till this day with a high top these dudes are legendary beyond the definition
Kid’s impression of his father is laugh out loud funny. I bet anything that’s EXACTLY how he sounds.
That's crazy I would have never thought kid was Jamaican lol
Can't believe Kid n Play 60
I love these guys. They brought some fun to Hip Hop along with Heavy D and the Fresh Prince. Those brothas will always be alright with me
Kid is funny. His vlad interviews are hilarious
The impersonation of his father's crush on Dionne Warwick🤣🤣
