I spotted some nice large sized bags with the metallic work of dionysis on them, and some over sized attachè bags in fancier colors. Collection wise, it's plain and mass friendly, rather than quirky and fun from former Michele. If that's the direction Gucci is aiming, they will sink back in oblivion in a season or two.

it's not a direction they're heading in. that won't be decided by anyone other than the new creative director. it's more like a palate cleanser, washing away the Michele style (which was becoming repetitive and tired) and starting anew

Who need mass-friendly products , how it was defined in the comment up, for thousands of euros? In Alessandro's collections were plaine and quirky . with logo and without, pieces.Hopefully they will product in Italy ...

This was an amazing palate cleanser, we'll always miss Alessandro, but this collection marked a firm departure from logomania towards a quiet luxury
Sorry, but i didn't see any quiet luxury in this collection.
What luxury? The only thing that’s stuck in my head is that dirty looking, loose tank top they were lazy enough to put on multiple models. Michele was NOT about “logomania” which was just one way to incorporate some mass-friendly products. Michele’s design was nature, love, uniqueness, imperfections, strangeness, and the essence of Rome and the brand. He had the talents to make one-of-a-kind products which used great quality materials and craftsmanship. Luxury comes from quality, not conformity. Luxury doesn’t necessarily have to be safe and plain. It’s harder to create luxury with bold colors, designs, and embellishments but he had the genius to make it work. I hate it when ppl judge his works on collaborations like Gucci x Addidas or Hackers (Gucci x Balenciaga) or repeated logos. The essence of his collections are best shown in his jewelry line, Hortus deliciarum or shows like the recent Cosmogonie. It’s another era gone.

Exactly! I love colorful kitschy stuff but really did not like Michele's designs at all. It was just too anything goes and ill fitting. Though must say it helped me save money bec other brands followed his designs so no nice things to buy

@Username "Refreshing?" You call this sh1t "refreshing?" This sh1r is tired. So sick and tired of the whole androgynous, gender-bending, waif-like male models on the runway. Every fashion show this season from all the menswear designers have men carrying purses...actual purses...not backpacks, not messenger bags...but actual ladies purses...and skirts! IT'S TIRED!!! The shock value of it all is just tired. What would be "refreshing" would be a RETURN TO MASCULINITY on the runway!! With models that look like they're not afraid to eat a steak and might just know how to change a tire!
