the value of 'n' can be taken as follows
n=1.135 for steam initially dry saturated
n=1.3 for steam initially super heated
for wet steam thevalue of 'n' can be calculated by using the Dr.Zenner's equation
n=1.035+0.1x
where x is dryness fraction of the steam

For ideal gas take gamma 1.4 instead of n

Depends on the type of steam ,n= 1.3 is for superheated steam.
