But A stated that “B is lying”. So, if we stipulate that that is true, then since (by that stipulation) A is telling the truth (in stating that “B is lying”), so is B! (revealing the paradox). The only “solution” to the paradox set up by the two statements above (if I’m correct in calling it a “solution”) is to step outside the mutually referencing truth value situation set up by the statements made by A and B, and assume that both A and B are lying (i.e., that neither A’s claim nor B’s claim can be verified or confirmed to be true).
Simple. A and B make statements only about the intent of the other. And it can only be about the intent, not the other statement itself. After all, one of them has to make its statement about the other statement first with the other statement not yet existing. Solution: A intents and believes to say the truth and says the actual truth. B intents and believes to lie but says the actual truth as B was given incorrect information. You get like 4 possible similar solutions.

Its most likely wrong tho I mean, paradoxes are fun and all, but none of these things aren't realistic. Future and Past probably exists always. think of it as a road, the road is already there, its you who change your position relative to the road. You can only travel to the future, but not to the past, we're 3 dimensional, not 4.
Think about it though, if I exist simultaneously through all points in my own life... Spacetime is a thing, a 4 dimensional entity. So as time went on, I would not be travelling forward through time, but stretching across time, since I'd have to exist at all temporal points in my timeline at once. Since the energy contained in my body is not being reduced as time moves on, I can reasonably assume that I am staying the same through time, and not being stretched out by time. Therefore if I exist in the present (and I know I do), I cannot exist in the past or future. Reality is like a wave travelling across the ocean. if you go back to a point where the wave once was, you'd find nothing. No wave. Same is true if you went into the future. Nothing would exist yet, until the wave hit that point in time. Makes sense to me.

Saying that time moves at a constant rate doesn’t really make sense, you have to specify in relation to what. Time does move at a constant rate in relation to time (t/t = 1) but everything “moves” at a constant rate in relation to itself. Technically, because of relativity, the passage of time is not constant in the strictest sense because some objects experience the passage of time differently depending on how fast they are going.

The Steins;Gate universe is an extended version of the last one, where multiple timelines (universes) exist at once and any significant action will split the current one. However there are certain points at which multiple timelines will converge (= attractor field).
@@vinlebo88 this is... Wrong. Steins;Gate does not follow a parallel universe model. Instead only one Worldline is active at a time and changing the past changes the worldline. Upon a worldline change, peoples memories are reconstructed to match the new worldline. Worldlines are never created. They remain as infinite possibilities.
@@quplet Watched it too long ago to give a proper answer, but you are probably right. Although it doesn't really make a difference if you just propose that Reading Steiner is the ability to transfer into another wordline or does it?
@@vinlebo88 it does kinda have larger ramifications. If it was multiple parallel worlds for example, he would essentially be killing and replacing other versions of himself. And if other worldlines are active, how come their time machines don't interfere with the observed Okabe's worldline, and etc. The information about there being only one worldline active is confirmed information from the VN (Visual Novel, Steins;Gate's source material), so it isn't really a probably.
This most likely won't make any sense, but I will try to explain what I am thinking. If there is constantly a subject in every time, and each one goes to the same place in the same time, will they be warped into each other? Let's say that S1, currently in second 100 goes back in time to second 0. S2, which is 1 second in the past relative to S1, (at second 99,) in 1 second, will teleport to second 0, exactly where S1 warped to. And it isn't like S1 has moved away from the spot S1 warped to, because they cannot do that instantly at second 0, that might happen at second 1 or 2.
I think multiple universe can exist in one time line . If you think that time is like some bulb constantly turning on and then off , you get a clear picture . Now think a bulb turns yellow , and then , becomes green instead of turning off . Now think the yellow one is yours universe , and the green one is another , and the light bulb is a specific amount of time . Now you have got a clear image .
the first one is quite ridiculous you go from point B to point A linearly, then go back to point B using your machine and back to point A after and keep going
I feel like that might be impossible... or at least, it wouldn't be "us", as we know it. We're too limited by our biology. Maybe as robots, or quantum computers. But I feel like knowing everything would be similar to attaining perfection; it should be a goal we strive for, but can never, realistically, achieve.
It wouldn't be the present anymore. At that point, it would be the past. It being called the present implies it's happening now. If the present exists, then in that scenario you'd be traveling from the future to the past, not to the present, as the present continues with or without you.
@@admiraldazed9993 your (egocentric) interpretation of "the present" debunks the statement even more. since you are always in the present even if you've travelled to the future. thus you always and only exist in the present. you are just arguing about the name given to a point in time. To be precise, time a term used by humanity and that is subjective to humanity but not limited to the measuring duration of events and comprehending existential placement on the cosmic scale. Even after humanities extinction, time will continue to be relevant, the only difference is if anything out there can use the knowledge of it's existence. Scientifically, it is proven that time will seize to be relevant or better said, functional, at the death of our universe, where all matter begins to completely cool down as we travel at speeds faster than the speed of light due to entropy. A paradox in dumbed down terms is something that would conflict with natural order, it is not proven to be impossible yet so thus the term "paradox" is used to represent the instance in which you can break a few laws of time. which like I said, is all but disproven. The concept of time travel is difficult to talk about because as the guy said on his video, conflicting elements occur. For instance, if time travel instantaneously generates your body particles and structure onto an area that is already present with other said objects and matter, you cannot just replace matter. Simple law. There must be energy present at some point for this to happen, and it must be a ridiculously fast burst of energy to the point where the very atmosphere that you "hop" into would probably scorch you alive. Which also supports the idea of "two exact same entities cannot exist in the same plane of existence". Why? Because that matter build up is an extra number to the cosmic scale of existence. Matter cannot just be generated when existence didn't even calculate it into the big bang. Kinda common sense kinda conflicts.
I believe that time isn’t a line nor is it a branching tree like thing. I believe time is a cone shape where an infinite amount of possibilities is compressed in an infinite density so it appears full. Imagine a dot. Now that dot expands into infinite branches and those branch into infinite branches aswell and that repeats infinitly. Every diffrent thing that happend has created a diffrent universe So even if a particle existed or not will create infinit possiblities.
I actually built a time machine in my basement and it worked. I entered it and I came out 7 hours into the future. Only problem was the machine is underpowered, so it took 7 hours for it to do that. But it did work!

I had to pause the video and pondered that for 5 minutes.
Its most likely wrong tho
I mean, paradoxes are fun and all, but none of these things aren't realistic.

@@DarkChief2 Future and Past dont exist. They aren't real. They are only in our imagination. Only right now exists in reality.
I thought he meant constant as in time goes forward for everyone. It doesn't stop or go backwards.

that last part reminded me so much of Steins;Gate ( trying to find the perfect universe )

Your videos are so inspiring. I choose to believe that in the future we will be able to understand all the quirks of time.
5:50 why wouldnt i exist in the present?
i could travel back to the moment i left so its like i was never gone
Time in the present won’t stop for you, it keeps on going
It wouldn't be the present anymore. At that point, it would be the past. It being called the present implies it's happening now. If the present exists, then in that scenario you'd be traveling from the future to the past, not to the present, as the present continues with or without you.

A paradox is but a illusion of the mind and time is only what you picture it as

FrenzySpore TV everyone
Time is an abstract
Kinda common sense kinda conflicts.
dude im too baked for this but I think I understood everything lol

@Ward Luay thanks man
I believe that time isn’t a line nor is it a branching tree like thing.
I believe time is a cone shape where an infinite amount of possibilities is compressed in an infinite density so it appears full.
Imagine a dot. Now that dot expands into infinite branches and those branch into infinite branches aswell and that repeats infinitly.
Every diffrent thing that happend has created a diffrent universe
So even if a particle existed or not will create infinit possiblities.

@@jonnamechange6854 Some theories of physics think that Positrons are actually electrons going backward in time (Hence why the charge is flipped around), mainly for when you're looking at particle reactions on Feynman Diagrams.
One theory extends this logic and postulates that there is actually only one electron in the whole universe that just zips back and forth across all time and space, all the while just filling in the roles for every bloody electron and positron from here to last Thursday.
