    Calling 54s on the button is perfectly fine. 3-betting it is fine too. River should be bigger but not a huge error on sizing.
    Raising KQo on QcTc6d is questionable vs a c-bet. Most times, you'll only get worse to fold, which you don't want. Most flush draws are going to have good equity versus you (aside from something like 5c3c / Kc3c). Getting re-raised sucks and since we don't have Kc, we can be getting re-raised by a hand we beat (AcKc, KcJc, Kc9c) forcing us to fold.

      I don’t love the raise on the flop with KQo. Looking back, I think calling is the better choice. In the moment, I was raising for “protection” against straight draws/flush draws but you’re 100% correct that a lot of that portion of villains range can raise and put us in a terrible spot with one pair.

    KK: I think the flop bet was a bit large MW. Price "inelastic" - this is true on the flop but not so much on the turn. I think your bet size actually needs to be much smaller. The pot size is 153, and the effective stack prior to the bet is only 235. A larger bet commits villain to the pot. This is why I do not like large preflop raises with only 100BB. It makes SPR really small and difficult to manage over 3 streets. With 500 instead of 300, the larger raise sizes fit a bit better.
    KQo: Villain has all the nut hands. I just call on the flop. I might raise KQdd.
    54cc: I would have raised the turn and then bet river.
    J8dd: What is the basis for overbetting turn? The 4d does not help your range. It's a neutral card that should not help either player. I do not overbet this spot.
    "Big lick": This is a definite raise on the flop. How was the pot 80 after 10 PFR and call?

      J8dd: I wasn’t thinking clearly in this spot. Total autopilot just trying to get villain to fold without a clear plan/thought process.
      “Big lick” that might be an editing error. Sorry about that.

    Calling with 96s.. is just way too wide. And flop should be a raise. and turn should be bet. Losing so much value from 2 pair, sets, straight, T9, 8x with a spade..

      I played that hand terribly. Should 3bet or fold pre, raise flop, bet turn and bet big on most rivers. Tons of money left on the table with this one.

    I don’t think there’s anything wrong with calling 54s on the button heads up. 3 betting is fine too.
    Personally I’d have bet like $100 on that river though.
    Man that 69s hand though! 3 bet that thing in position. As played I’m definitely raising the turn

    Hey. Just watched a bunch of Hungry Horse videos. Their style seems to be very similar to Carrot Corner. You don't seem to use their strategies much in your bet sizing. (You seem to try to get players to fold ASAP instead of stringing them along and forcing folds on the river.)

    • @panicpoker
      @panicpoker  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I’ve watched some of Carrot Corner videos. They do share some similarities in approach.
      To be honest, I don’t have the Hungry Horse methods ingrained yet. It will probably take a good 3-6 months before they really start showing up in my play. The bootcamp is a lot and they make it point to repeatedly tell you that you should expect good 3-6 months of studying post bootcamp before you have the strategies internalized.
      Right now I’m doing a 4:1 study protocol. 1 hour of study for every 4 hours played.

    I can say, I was stuck in the 1/3 streets, then a friend of mine (who is a pro) told me to move to 2/5. I took a leap of faith and its WAAAYYYYY better. Take the leap, play smart and confident. 3bet and 4bet range etc. Just try, worst case, you fail, best case, you triple your take home.

    • @panicpoker
      @panicpoker  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      A lot of people have been telling me this. I’m strongly considering taking the shot at $2/5. Stay tuned 👍🏻

      @@panicpoker dont strongly consider it, just take the leap and try. Better poker but way easier to make money, hard to beat rake and nits at 1/2 1/3, especially in Bellagio. you wont regret trusting yourself.

      @@armank9927 that a tough one but assuming I’ve averaged around 12 hours per week since I started playing poker (I only
      Played about once per week for a long time due to work conflict) that’s ~580 hours per year. I started playing in casinos at $1/2 around 2008 so that would put my total hours around 9,200 which is probably over estimated. My gut tells me it’s more like 6,000 hours lifetime but I’m fine with taking the high end of the range.

  • @MaydayAggro
    @MaydayAggro 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

    KJhh: CO's range should be fairly narrow after the 3bet and call. I agree, smaller is better here; however, with this hand you really have very little equity. I'd consider just checking back and hoping for a non-spade K or Q. Upswing has an article about SRP vs 3bet pots that has a very similar flop (T85tt IP). In that sim KJ checks almost everything other than the flush draw.
    I'll come back and add more commentary later!

    • @panicpoker
      @panicpoker  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I like either small range bet (20-33% pot) or check on that flop. I think I would default to small range pot as there is still a ton of hands in villains range that will fold flop and if they just call we can pretty easily put them on a capped range. Checking back doesn’t give any clarity on their range, although if they check again on the turn, we can pretty much bluff with ATC at that point.
