It's typically salty, dry-cured, so preserved, and o.k. at room temperature for a while.

Agree to disagree. I've seen tons of interviews with him and this is his style and it's hilarious for people who want a bit off the beaten path humor. Watch the video of when he hosted the late night show on CBS, this is his humor and Seth has mentioned many times how big a fan he is of Adam.
