    I just wanted to say thank you. Your stretches are comforting, explained well, and are a great sequence I haven't seen on other channels. Also, as a woman going through infertility, I really appreciate your outfit choices. You look lovely and allow me to focus on the stretching instead of comparing myself to toned abs and tiny waistlines. I started coming here over and over because, I found myself feeling worse about myself after watching other instructors and in the midst of infertility, that is the last thing you need. Your smile is contagious! Thank you so much!

      Just stumbled on your channel few months ago and I must confess that there's a blessing of fruitfulness attached to you. We've been trying to conceive for the past 5 years since we had our first baby and after I started following your yoga practices, in less than 2 months we conceived though had a miscarriage some weeks ago, I'm not discouraged and I've resumed my practices with you and believing that it will end in Joy soon. Thanks 🙏 for your gentle and soothing practices, diet advises etc

      th-cam.com/video/bhDi_Y9VZwk/w-d-xo.html
      There maybe others that might be safe for most people undergoing IVF but I have not created IVF specific videos for my TH-cam channel. I do have a series of videos available that you can purchase access to on my website that includes variations for different phases of IVF and the menstrual cycle: www.livefertile.com/yoga-for-womens-health
      Another option is to stick to meditations or explore practices that are of interest to you here on the channel and do a different pose when a pose comes up that you don’t feel comfortable doing or your provider has recommended you avoid.

    Hi Kendra, I love your videos and your calming personality. I am currently into my first week of stimming. Is it save to downward facing dog and the hip circles during this time? Thanks so much, Busybee xo

    • @LiveFertile
      @LiveFertile  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Good question. Not a super straightforward answer. Early on in stimming (before days 6-8), most people aren't experiencing much discomfort or growth/ swelling in the lower abdomen so most yoga poses are still comfortable and safe. After around day 6, people might start to experience more fullness in their lower abdomen. At that point, I generally recommend avoiding inversions (except legs up the wall) or deep twists. Though I might make exceptions if down dog or a standing forward fold is held for just a moment as a transition. But everyone is unique and will have different experiences with stimming. I tend to recommend trusting your body above all else. If something feels unsafe or uncomfortable, heed that. I will always defer to what a person's innate wisdom, body cues, and providers recommend (especially if I'm not working with them one-on-one and can't ask more questions.) And it never hurts to be cautious and gentle. Hope that helps.

      Hi there,
      With my one-on-one clients, I usually recommend 2-3x/ week; more often if it feels supportive and time permits, but less often if it starts to feel like a chore or an obligation.
      I'm a big fan of exploring different practices and choosing what feels best to you. Have fun mixing and matching and opting for what your body and mind need that day.

    I have early ovulation and the eggs released were immature. Does this yoga sequence helps in balancing the hormones and maturing of eggs??

    • @LiveFertile
      @LiveFertile  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi there! Yoga, in general, supports optimal endocrine function by encouraging our bodies to be in a state of rest (among other things). From that state of rest, our bodies are better able to function as they are designed to. But I wouldn't say this yoga sequence can target specific hormones directly. Be well!

      Hi there! I'm planning to do a series to support people who have hypothalamic amenorrhea in the future. I don't know if that will be helpful for you specifically since not having periods/ irregular periods can be caused by a number of things (thyroid issues, under eating, overexercising, extreme stress, etc.). I hope you and your providers have been able to pinpoint what may be causing your amenorrhea so you can address the root cause. Best wishes!

    Hi Kendra! Can you let me know how does yoga help with egg quality?

    • @LiveFertile
      @LiveFertile  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Jennifer! I can't speak for all forms of yoga or all yoga sequences, but I can tell you a little about my thought process and intention when I created this sequence.
      From a Western physiological lens, yoga can dampen inflammation, improve insulin sensitivity, protect against and possibly reverse the effects of oxidative damage, and increase circulation to and from the reproductive organs. And for those with PCOS, yoga can improve hormonal disturbances associated with poor egg quality. All of which supports egg quality/ cellular health. From a Traditional Chinese Medicine lens, I chose poses that stimulate the areas of the body along the meridians of the organ system responsible for vitality, aging, gamete development, and reproductive health.
      I'm sure there's also a way in which Ayurveda would point to yoga building ojas which is important for egg development and reproductive health but that's not something I'm as familiar with as Western physiology and TCM.
      Definitely not a topic that can be covered succinctly in a comment but I tried. Be well!

    Can one do this during the stim phase while take drugs and injections before egg retrieval?

    • @LiveFertile
      @LiveFertile  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi there,
      I didn’t create this practice with stimming in mind. After around stim day 6, some of the poses (downward facing dog, bridge with moving hips, and the twists) in this practice might not be the most comfortable or safest options, but everyone is different. Ultimately though, your body and your medical team are your best guides.
      If you want to be especially cautious, some of the general fertility practices might be a better choice.
      I’ll work on an IVF series soon!
      Best wishes!

    • @LiveFertile
      @LiveFertile  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi there! You'll hear different things from different people for each of your questions. I don't believe there is one universally right answer to your questions. I encourage you to sit with your questions and sort through what you think. Your own knowledge and wisdom matter. What do you think?
      Here's where I stand:
      - It's never too early or the wrong time to support your fertility (or any other aspect of your health).
      - When to practice and whether to practice during your period is up to you. Notice how you feel when you practice different types of yoga during the different phases of your cycle. What feels best to you? I encourage people to switch up their physical practice, explore different things, and sense what is good and right for them. If you feel like doing it daily, great! But if you don't, don't.
      - Many people find it uncomfortable to move/ practice yoga on a full stomach, but also find it uncomfortable to do so on an empty stomach. What feels best to you? Do that. Is it after a light snack? Is it first thing in the morning? Is it a couple of hours after a meal?
      Again, different people view these things differently. I am someone who believes very strongly in autonomy, self-inquiry, and respecting individual differences. That influences how I see the world and approach yoga. And I respect that not everyone will agree.
      I'm wishing you all the best.
      Be well!

      Hi there. There are a lot of questions I would have to ask you to get a better understanding of why your period has started earlier than expected. I'm thinking it's highly unlikely that this practice caused your period to start. That being said, you know your body far better than I do. If you believe this practice led to your period starting and that alarms you, choosing not to practice it further sounds like a good idea. And of course, always speak to your personal healthcare provider for personalized advice about your personal healthcare concerns. Be well!
