The nature of Solana's architecture means that applications themselves do not run directly on the Solana blockchain. Instead, only the smart contracts that power applications can run on-chain. This has implications for the notion of "ownership" of applications on Solana. If any part of an application's backend lives on a centralized server or cloud provider, then by definition it cannot be fully owned in a decentralized manner. At most, users may own NFTs associated with a Solana application. However, even NFT ownership has limitations, as the metadata files themselves are often stored off-chain on centralized storage. In contrast, the Internet Computer allows developers and communities to own the full stack of an application, including frontends and backends running entirely on-chain. This enables DAOs to govern code updates at the protocol level. So while Solana has many strengths, true decentralized ownership of entire applications is not one of its features, unlike platforms designed for on-chain operation like the Internet Computer.

It doesn't crash anymore. Not since they added the first client by Jitto.... uptike has been for 6+ months now. The second client will be implemented end of this year or beginning of the next, also know as firedancer. Ethereum has 5 different clients, it's why it never crashes. The good thing about firedancer is that it will be the Solana code in rust C+ or C++...so the odds of a bug affecting Jitto, and Firedancer who run different language codes, will be like almost zero chance of it happening. Most people want to forger that Ethereum at the beginning was HACKED, it did not crash or shut off. Ethereum was straight up hacked, it's why the birth of Ethereum classic happened. Then came the validator clients and now it's all good. Solana just needs the clients implemented and it's never been hacked... facts!!!

Austin killing it, nice work.
Absolutly, strong presentation👌

Well said. Thank you for that explanation.
The only scalable chain. Solana will lead the next bull market
It is not the only scalable blockchain. In fact, it's not even the most scalable blockchain. Y'all need to stop lying.
Solana ❤
Solana is the best blockchain by far
Stock ticker is ….
Go a little slower so it doesn't crash so often?
Not offline for 7 months now. Fixes have been live for awhile now to mitigate that
SOL a web 2 mysql database desperately trying to pass itself off as Web3…. What a joke…. :/
You are definitely ill informed regarding its codebase & what is developing on it.

If it makes money then so be it
It's popularity and what people like
Not tech lol

I am thinking it crashes way too many times. Avalanche seems to be much more stable chain
