If he's honest he would not be promoting food products that are actually terrible, and the fact he said this buffet laksa is the best he ever hard speaks volume about what his "real" taste are like, terrible

I can’t wait to eat food in the Atlantis Palm buffet and other restaurants when I am traveling to Dubai! This is the hotel where I will be staying at for a week. Thank you Mike Chen for showcasing food!

So if it weren’t for you Mikey I wouldn’t be the foody I am today nor have the guts or courage to try new things ! You really do make people like me have somthing to look forward to & keep a happy face also a hungry tummy 😊

Kinda sad that the biggest buffet in Dubai is only good for its deserts. Must be one of those tourist traps.
For Seafood Buffet I like Pergolas restaurant in the SwissHotel Murooj. I buy Groupon online and it’s often as little as $40 each. They have raw oysters flown in from France, shrimp cocktail, mussels, Sushi, smoked fish, grilled seafood including shrimp and ‘Lobster’ (Cigalia), shrimp tempura, fish cooked to order including sea bass. There is also hot dishes of shrimp biryani, seafood pizza, etc. Of course there is salad, dessert and cheese. This is currently the best value in seafood buffets in Dubai. I’ve live here since 1997.
There are a lot of good buffets in Dubai, Saffron is for chinese and russian tourist.

I would have focused on the shellfish and sashimi, and ignored everything else. Those looked yummy!

@@mysticstrikeforce5957 I watched a lot of food channel and a big part of them sugar coat the food too much and only gave critizism when the food was straight up spoiled. Of course with the size of TH-cam you can always find a honest food review channel like Mike or the Suited fast food guy for example.
Southeast Asians getting increasingly triggered by his comment that the buffet had the best buffet laksa then he further proclaimed that it was the best laksa he ever had.
Thank you for your honestly. In Dubai you expect the best of the best. When it falls short, and you are honest, it gives them the chance to fix things and get up to par.

I think it might also be a middle eastern/Arab taste thing. Some cultures lean away from rare or medium cooked meats (unless it’s tartare). So their meats will always be a little well done for meat connoisseur’s tastes.
Southern Europeans also go for welldone I have noticed

They are seriously just on a whole other level, plus I never imagined food to be that cheap. We seriously need to step it up!

I'm from a part of Sweden where langosten is really prevalent, but there is also a tradition of going lobster fishing, so both are relatively inexpensive. And I got to say, I will pick langosteen over lobster every day of the week.

@@UltimateGamerCC I think they are a bot sweeter but also with a very flavourful and umami filled head. Also the flesh is firmer and gives me a more satisfying eating experience:)

Mike. It's kinda hard to find in Korea these days, but I highly recommend you check out Roti Boy if you can. The bread there is delicious.
