My sub 32 goal is achieved.
This run has a pretty solid beginning. I played level 1 and 3 like what I excepted, I saved 15 seconds over my previous run. I missed the bird glitch which I could got here but I didn't use my lightning sword correctly.
The Bird RNG was good but I was bad hitting the birds, I lost around 8 seconds.
Medusa's RNG were really bad, I lost 10 seconds.
Hades trolled me a bit but that was okay.
Else, I had some clean movements in Gauntlet and Cyclops. Passageways was scary but I didn't die or miss a letter.
I don't know if I'll try to get a better PB since it strongly rely on good RNG, and I hate RNG.
I forgot to turn off the sound of the shooting star from my overlay, you can hear it every 4 seconds and it's pretty annoying. Really sorry about that :(

I've so many memories of this game. One of the games that defined my childhood

it was challenging, but not too much. Perfect for the kid brain
I still remember getting stuck at the bossfight in the 3rd stage trying to deal damage to him with the sword until I accidentally hopped onto his back.

I think they tell you to go on his back in the manual. but I haven't seen the manual since the first week I had the game on the original PS1, so I can't be sure.

Thanks. You get an extra life after the name "HERCULES" is shown at the transition screen between two levels. That's useless in a speedrun though, since you're not supposed to die and you reach the maximum of 9 lives early.

I don't know. The problem with All Vases is there are special vases that give Hercules an extra life. Some of these are hidden and I'm not sure if the location of all of them is known.

I investigated a full 100% single segment run: 100% Level Completed, All Letters and All Vases in a single run. It is doable, so I may do some "100% LC All Letters & Vases Medium" runs to see if it can be a viable new category.
Cest possible de finir le jeu avec toutes les pieces? Jai tenté lhydre javais limpression que plus je recuperais de piece plus cetait long pour avoir 100 % ... En tout cas t'es un boss je trouve le jeu vachement dur cest peut etre moi qui est nul mais gamin javais jamais passer le niveau du pegase 😂
J'ai pas essayé mais c'est sûrement possible.
@@ninjacocktail j'ai essayé en vrai et c'est malheureusement impossible a certains niveaux...on doit parfois faire le choix entre les pièces ou une lettre notememnt dans le niveau du cyclope ,mais gg
J'ai investigué le 100% single segment run, c'est en faite possible mais assez technique avec pas mal de RNG et death abuses. 100% Level Completed, All Letters & All Vases en un seul run. Je vais tenter la categorie un de ces jours: "100% LC All Letters & Vases Medium" speedrun.
