The 608 cross trainers 2018 and before were wonderful. I was a gym owner for 14 years. and wore them all the time. Also played racquetball and did wind sprints in them. SINCE 2018 the new Versions ( I bought some in 2023 after the last 8 pair wore out) are TERRIBLE with hard soles and thin inserts. My Plantar Faciitis that had been gone for 20 years came back in 3 days. I am now searching for new shoes. I would like to see New Balance go back to making them the way they did 2018 and before when made in Indonesia.

I was suckered. The shoes today, made by New Balance, Nike, Adidas, and Puma...are NOT what they were in the 70's and 80's. The leather quality...has gone straight down the tubes. Recently, these shoe manufacturers, have come back with "retro" styles. I was thrilled. I bought a pair of Stan Smith Adidas...and Nike Air Force One's, and realized right away...the leather quality was pure crap, compared to back in the day. I was so angry. I felt deceived. The Stan Smith, and Air Force One, were a huge disappointment. I couldn't believe how pitiful the leather quality was. Now I do...have a pair of New Balance, Made In USA, 990's, made with pigskin, that are of high quality. Those I like. But other New Balance, the ones made in Asia...are pure crap. I feel shoe manufacturers have gone the way of the rest of coprporate America. Greed. Greed seems to be the "quality" one receives in today's world. It is truly true, that the love of money...is the root of all evil.

f you take out the insert on the MX608WT or other new 608V5's since 2018 and feel the sole inside the shoe, it is STONE HARD and the insert doesn't make up the difference from the older 608's from 2018 and before. THOSE OLDER SOLES 2018 and before, have a some give to them and feel softer. THAT IS THE DIFFERENCE from the 608's from 2018 and before and the ones made since then. It was a mistake to change the sole in this way. I am hoping New Balance, which I have loved for years, will go back to manufacturing them like they did 2018 and before, where the soles are a softer material that you are using now and with the inserts used then. Those older shoes were perfect and comfortable, where your new versions are way too hard to wear, and cause serious problems. I have seen many reviews from your former customers that are saying the exact same things, many on the New Balance site, and others on TH-cam. Please go back and manufacture them the right way, 2018 and before for the 608's Thank you, I would love to communicate with you about this!
@@rickphilly1975 sorry I think you mistook what I said. The New Balance made in USA collection is made in the USA, whilst the made in UK one is made here in the UK. Deffo check it out, it’s really cool. I prefer a lot more of the made in USA designs but the UK also has some classics
