    for intership/placement
    1.pick language c++ or Java
    if you want to do cp pick c++
    because 90% people in cp do in c++
    2.learn DSA
    3.solve questions on geeks for geeks and leetcode
    4.learn web development/app development/etc and build projects (2-3)
    5.learn concepts (OS,DBMS,CN,OOPS)
    6.learn system design
    7.if you have time solve cp on codechef or codeforces
    8.revise every things regularly because if forgotten then have to learn from start

    "No knowledge in coding" Do you mean that
    by studying 2year C++ in 11 and 12th and four years of software engineering
    It's like I use to swim in local wells but suddenly I started to swim in pools also and here I learned how to swim in
    one week with no knowledge of swimming in pools.
    it's impossible for an individual to be at least well-known in one of the basics of language who never had a computer class in their schools and colleges streams.

    I came here because I thought I was going to be calling BS on some "cheat" you found to get into Google and Amazon. But instead, I found you actually telling people how to be good software engineers. This is great advice, but they're not hacks. What you're describing is your journey from being a programmer/coder to becoming a software engineer. Nicely done, both, on the video and on your journey.

    This video is such a mix of good things and bad things. In terms of providing programming related knowledge and journey it's a good video. In terms of TH-cam this is a such a classic click bait video made in a bad faith to gain views.
    With a misleading start of :
    No project, hackathons or internship required to then proceeding with "I made projects which made me ready for the interviews."
    You begin the video with "almost no knowledge of coding" and then ended up saying you did Coding for first two years and after that you picked up software engineering as a degree. So that is almost 6 years dwelling in an environment around coding before your 3 months journey begin.
    After that you got a job in some unmentioned company after 3 months (not Amazon or Google) and then you spent 4-5 months more before you went to get the job in Amazon.
    In terms of placement the way you framed in the way they you had a choice to pick which company will you give interview for from your college is highly unlikely for most college. (maybe your college bring an exception that gives you that privilege ). But in mot colleges you don't have choice you have to give interview for all and if you hey picked a similar criteria which kyu mentioned applies.
    This video is a best example of classic clickbaiting.
    Disappointed that you had to make already good knowledgeable video into a misleading content and giving false hopes to ppl.

I have recently became interested in coding, all I know is basics of c++, python, flask and html, css. I have done some small projects in them. But now I want to become serious and I was confused with how and where should I start. I knew basic python and I also have chosen AI ML as my major. Thats why I was confused with whether should I do dsa in python or c++ or java. But now I have decided that I am going to learn java properly and do DSA. Hi Ashhad, thanks for the inspirational video.
    I have one doubt, can you explain what is you learning/practicing process for DSA and Competitive programming, I'm solving problems for couple of months on leetcode and I'm creating notes with every new problem I'm tackling and that's taking a bit of time, so should i create proper notes or just solve the questions and write few lines about the problem?
    I'd appreciate if you could help me on this.

    Great story. But the title of the video is deceiving. It took you literally years of accumulated knowledge, hard work and practice to land where you are. I think it is fair to say that it will take anyone somewhere around an year to get an entry level job. Given they like to code, keep improving and don't give up. Also you've used a paid course that charges like 30-40k. Before someone takes up such a course, please learn something on your own and see if you have the aptitude for coding/programming. Else you might just end up wasting your money and 30-40k is a lot when you're a student. Best of luck! 👍

      does 40-30k stop being a lot when you're no longer a student? Thats a massive sum to pay for knowledge thats cheaply found on the internet and in books

  • @suhelseth6154
    @suhelseth6154 2 ปีที่แล้ว +7

    It's misleading. You didn't learn to code in 3 months. You were studying as a software engineer for god's sake. 3 months means 0 to 100. You already had a theoretical base and even some practical experience. If you do these things you won't get a lot of likes and the algorithm won't pick up. Instead just talk about your failure. That will attract more people.
    Be true.

    Hiii,
    i am a CSE student knows PYTHON but don't know C++, i am starting DSA and people telling me switch to C++ and i have only 1 year left for placement, do u think i need to switch just for competitive programming and clearing online coding rounds, does it help me inside the company
    OR
    Just Do DSA in python and be much better in python and build some projects...

    • @iamashhad
      @iamashhad  2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      No you don't need to switch to C++. But I'd suggest you to pick up the basics and OOPS concepts of Java (or C++) since that is asked during the interviews. You can answer everything else with Python only :)

      Computer science curriculum teaches you how to learn in those company environments that explains the heavy math. They give you powdered knowledge and it’s up to you to add water to that powdered knowledge and make use of it.
