Why do people keep taking the ball joint loose in these vids. Does the lift require it for re-installation? Because it certainly is NOT needed to remove and install the strut itself.
I have a question when using strut spacers do you need bigger ucas, I’m putting a 3 inch strut spacers on and was wondering if I need bigger ones. 2008 Chevy Silverado 1500.
ORAL WAYNE. WE DID A 3" LIFT IN FRONT USING THE STRUT SPACER AND REMOVED THE LOWER LIFT WHICH WAS A LEVELING KIT YOU NEVER WANNA STACK LIFTS ITS DANGEROUS. AND YES 2" REAR BOOSTER PUCKS
How did that workout? I ordered a 3.5 inch lift kit not knowing that it wasn't compatible with the autoride suspension, so now the lift kit and wheels and tires are just sitting and collecting dust. I'm thinking about getting a conversion kit so I can get these wheels on. Any pointers?
I have an 07 that has the air ride suspension. I bought a rough country 3.5 inch kit not knowing that it wasn't compatible with the air suspension. So now my $3500 worth of wheels and tires are just sitting and collecting dust. I'm looking at getting a conversion kit from strut masters if the lift kit will work with it. Otherwise I will be spending thousands more for a name brand suspension.
I just got some 22×12 -44 wheels and unless I'm going to be driving in a straight line every where I go, they aren't going to work. I got a 3.5 inch rough country kit to help with the fit, but it is not compatible because I have the LTZ model that has air ride suspension. Now I'm stuck trying to figure this out without spending 2 or 3 more grand. What did you end up doing and how did you make your wheels work before you got the lift?

On the rear... undo the lower shock bolts, sway bar links and the axle will drop down giving you room to install thr spring spacers.....

Let’s say you add a 3 inch lift to a Tahoe does that require you to have to change shocks or can you keep using the same ones as before?!?

Why did you remove the other ones what’s the difference?
The other was a leveling kit. The one we put on was a 3" lift
Forgot the swaybar link,there is a easier way for the next one you do in half the time

So is the bottom spacer not compatible with the top spacer?
It can be put on I just dont like stacking lifts bc it comprises the integrity

@@JC-kq3ny alot of cutting and it still rubs.
So u just used the spring tool and didnt take anything apart for the rear
Yes sir. I lifted the body as high as possible and used the spring compressor set the puck then released the spring

Its allways good idea after any suspension modifications to get an alignment
