Immediately stopped watching after they said the first microscope has 50-1000 x magnification 😂 clearly the one who made thia video has no idea. The first microscope has 10x optical magnification.
This isn’t a criticism, but it was amusing that the narrator says (00:10) “..and other electronics…” while the video shows the movement of an entirely mechanical wristwatch. Well I thought it was amusing…. But what IS a criticism is parroting the marketing messaging of these products. The most egregious example is that exactly NONE of these microscopes comes anywhere close to 1000X magnification, even if you were to pipe the image to a huge t.v screen. They’re basically just reading promotional materials. Frankly, it’s not very credible.
I made a poor man's digital microscope from a small 4k camera that has an adjustable lens and an HDMI output, and a 14" desktop display that I mounted on the table in a tilted position using a VESA mount that has an adjustable arm which can be locked into place. I mounted the camera with a 3D printed part on an upcycled IKEA lamp arm which enables working with large boards. As I had all the stuff as spare already, the only real cost was the 3D printed part (around $4 USD) and one evening's work time. It has better quality than any real digital microscope I've had and old unused parts received a new life.

I would like to see how well each images sharpening knife blades. Also imaging blades slicing thru things like tomatoes.

Are you willing to share the build in print?
Would be neat to see a picture of the completed arm / camera! Thank you
