I almost didn’t click on this video, because I’ve watched/read so many tutorials on this topic as someone with hollow eyes and dark circles. BUT GIRL! This was seriously a game changer, and I can’t thank you enough! Thank you for taking the time to break everything down for us ❤❤
Oh Amanda, this was an exceptionally well done video! I'm both getting older (mid 40s) and I've recently lost a lot of weight due to illness. Prior to finding you a few years ago, I knew nothing about hollowness under the eyes, nor was I even aware that it was a part of my undereye "darkness" issue that no concealer or corrector or combo of both could fix. I would try product after product searching for my elusive Holy Grail but never fiding it. Thanks to you, I've learned that my technique was about 80% of the problem and the remaining 20 was helped by learning about what kind of concealers to choose. I can't thank you enough! ❤❤❤
I really love that you explained exactly what look we're trying to achieve, and a universal method to determine the concealer placement for our features and bone structure. This video was really clear and far more helpful than one-size-fits-all advice like "Put this product in this specific place" without further explanation. Would be really interested in a similar tutorial for eyeshadow placement, if that's something you'd consider making!
This is exactly what I need help with. I’m 66 and just had cataract surgery and no longer need my glasses! But they hid a lot of my under eye problems, now I have a path to try and deal with it, though I do have wrinkling obviously due to age so trial and error time 😊 Thank you for an informative video on this subject!
This was great! I have super dark and textured/dry under eyes and have just about given up on concealing them. I may give it one more shot after watching this though! Truly appreciate it! If you have any tips for texture under they eyes I am here for it.
I'm very insecure about the hollowness, texture and darkness of my under eyes. And I'm constantly trying to find ways to neutralize them but its hard. This was helpful. Thank you.
Brilliant tutorial - thank you! I just got the Tower 28 concealer and it is the BEST one I have ever tried. I have SO many and concealer is my number one makeup product in terms of importance. It always has been since I was a teenager with acne and now I’m 52! If my skin looks good I’m happy. And under my eyes has been the area that I’ve struggled with. Everything creases or looks dry or heavy. But NOT the Tower 28. It is MAGIC! And not only under my eyes. All over. It hides pores and looks like skin! And the shade match is perfect. I just ordered another one in the shade lighter so I have the option to brighten if I want. I just pray they never discontinue 😅
Loved all the tips and techniques particularly the freckle one which is delicate smart and lovely 😍! And yes would love a video about color correcting with products reviews ! Cheers from France (love that unlike most US beauty TH-camrs who often pile so much make up on that you feel suffocated for their poor skin, you have a very elegant, balanced, refined way to do your make up which appeals more to a French viewer - just saying 😊)
After following your tip in another video of putting concealer just along the inner corner of my eye along the hollow, and blending with a mini sponge, you have CHANGED THE GAME for me. I have genetic extreme dark circles and of course it doesn't cover them, but it awakens and brightens my face in such a natural looking way, which is all I could ever really ask for! THANK YOU! (Also for anyone wondering, I use YSL's Touche Eclat Radiant Touch pen for this - the lighterweight OG one, not the high cover one!)
I love the authenticity of your tutorial; that it is meant for every day wear, and not for the camera only. Thank you. I will go and purchase your recommendations.
Amanda… Do you have a background in art? The way you describe shape, Volume, lightness and darkness…you sound like an artist talking. :) Thank you so much for sharing your gift.
I love you amanda I purchased all my makeup products depending on your videos really no one has real and depth reviews like you 🥹 I really appreciate your content please don’t stop I love your way in explaining everything in one product in all sides ❤️ Go ahead we all love you 🥹🥹🥹
Thanks Amanda! The most important section on my face has become that line of hallow. I have to be SO careful that my foundation and my concealer do not actually meet at that line. Whether I bring the foundation over it (rare) or the concealer down over it (more often) I just know it is a disaster (okay that was dramatic) for them to meet at that spot….it makes that line look worse. It took me awhile to get this right because I had to change the way I did my makeup for YEARS. Everything had to become more simple but to get there the journey was complicated. I wish I had seen this video at the start of that journey! 💕
Hi Amanda! Thanks for the video. I’m another deep set under eye girlie. I remember once when I had a medical procedure on my face that made it temporarily puffy as a side effect, I was shocked to see my “dark circles” were completely gone. That’s when I realized my under eyes were just deep set, not pigmented. I already have and love the Kosas concealer, and I just picked up the Tower 28, which I cannot wait to try! As for future videos, I would love to see you do one on the Merit single shadows. 💜
BY FAR the BEST, most comprehensive explanation of how to properly apply concealer that I have ever seen. Wonderful. You are a true artist.I will have to watch it a few more times and practice. Love the freckle suggestion, too. Brilliant!
Your instructions were brilliant! As a more mature woman, I want to cover darkness in my undereye area of course, but lighter and more naturally. Thank you for those important tips, tricks and recommendations! ❤️
Hi Amanda, Thank you again for the great and informative review. The products looked beautiful on you. I really enjoyed watching your video. The Merit Solo Shadow is gorgeous 😍. I can’t wait to get it. ✨
GREAT video, I am so going to try this method! Also I need you to know I finally tried the revealer concealer from you recommending it in every video and it is everything I ever wanted so THANK YOU!!! 💖
Crazy! About a month ago I discovered the Kosas and I 100% agree with everything you say about it! It’s my holy grail now. So hydrating for how much coverage it has!!
Love this!! For me, most liquid concealers settle a bit on my texture/ fine lines(this could also be user error 😂) I don’t have too much hollowness so I find light layers of a cream concealer works well for me! Also yay! You’re trying the hourglass skin tint! Review please 😂 I just have a sample and I’m so excited to get the full tube!! Reminds me a bit of shiseido radiant lifting foundation formula!
I’m 64 and struggling with this as well but also crinkles and some wrinkles too. I’m going to try this because I’ve been so done with concealer 🤦🏻♀️ I also have your hair and eye color so I would love to look at more of your videos to choose some new eyeshadows and really…. new everything. I’m trying to love makeup again but can’t do same techniques I did ten years ago. Thanks for sharing🥰
Incredibly well done video! Thank you so much for doing this video explaining and showing in a clear and easy to understand kind of way. This video is greatly appreciated! 💕
Thank you Ms. Amanda...this is a topic I really struggle with as my undereyes alway look super dark. I now know its the hollows, which are like the depths of the Grand Canyon..
THIS video is incredibly valuable! Beaming SO much gratitude your way Amanda! I appreciate your attention to detail and your ability to teach through experience! Thank you!!!
Do you think you could make a video using a regular good quality concealer with your best possible effort, same technique and show what difference it makes to use the mentioned concealers? I think it would put it in better understanding for me to see what a normal concealers can do and what these brightening types can do in regards of the hollow. 😊 Apart from this, great video! ❤
After decades of being unhappy with my under eye concealer until i tried Chanel’s Sublimage Yeux Concealer. It’s amazing. It doesn’t settle in my lines and wrinkles and it lasts all day. It’s expensive at $95 but it takes such a tiny tiny amount. It’s now my go to concealer.
^Guys get the Bobbie Brown Stick color corrector. Game changer and makes pretty much any concealer work better as it covers the dark circles. Expensive tho for amount you get but it last long!
The blending!! What a great idea and makes total sense 👏 .. Everyone is different but when I tend to use wet sponge half my product goes away on some concealers 😩 .. Thank you for a very ‘easy to listen to’ tutorial 🩵
Great video Amanda!! I finished my Kosas concealer a few months ago and I’m using a different one at the moment. But it’s time to go back to Kosas - I find it gives a brightening effect with not a lot of product required! Thanks so much for explaining this technique, I’m going to try it tomorrow on my dark circles.
I’ve been using the Kosas for the past four months because of you, but I haven’t tried out your application method! I will have to test this myself and see if it works as well for me as it does for you, because it looks amazing!
Thank you so much, this is so helpful. I have fair skin with freckles and both darker skin and hollowness under my eyes and in the inner corner, inherited from my beloved grandma. I genuinely had not considered my hollowness until you discussed it in a previous video - game-changer! I need a colour-corrector (I rate the Beauty Pie one) and am loving Vieve (a British MUA brand) Modern Radiance Concealer, although I actually don't find it radiant at all, it is very natural. It sounds like I need to try the Tower28 concealer now, if I can get it in the UK.
I have similar hollows so this video was VERY helpful. I also have a lot more wrinkles so I can never set my concealer without it emphasizing them. All your tips were so great - thank you!
Coming back to comment because I bought the Tower28 immediately after this video. Had to go in-store to make sure I did not have an allergic reaction to any ingredient) anyway. YOU ARE ALWAYS RIGHT and I TRUST you so much. Kosas is /was my ride or die... but I have to say that I am liking the Tower28 so much more. Thank you Amanda!
Praying you’ll find a holy grail concealer from a non-“clean” brand one day 🙏🏻 We have very similar undereye areas, but I hate how quickly “clean” concealers go off!
for my Balkan, Mediterranean, N. African and middle eastern gals; Our ethnic groups tend to have dark undereyes/pigmentation so most of it is genetic(however that doesn’t mean that deep set eyes or health reasons can’t be present as well or course)
Very interesting video. I have lately received a sample of the Kosas concealer and I immediately thought of you. There are several colors and the two lighter ones could fit on my light skin. My skin is rather dry, I am supposed be have a mature skin but I’m lucky enough not to have many wrinkles, my only problem is the purplish color which is rather between the beginning of the nose and the eyes. I tried this concealer and suddenly it revealed wrinkles that I didn’t even know I had. However, I didn’t wait as you did to tap on it with my dry sponge (yes I used a dry sponge too). So maybe I will wait as you did. I also have the same problem with the Kosas powder. I bought the mini size recently to try it. It’s fantastic on the sides of my face but on my T-zone and under my eyes, I can only use the Charlotte Tilbury powder. So I don’t know what I do wrong? Right now, the only concealer which hides a little the purplish color and still keep my under eyes smooth and youthful is the Neutrogena hydrating boost concealer, it’s in a tube and there is something very emollient in the middle, I love this thing! I barely need to set it with a powder so dry is my skin. I will try again by using your method and I will see, the samples I have are more than enough to test the product. Hopefully I will get better results. Your demonstration is spectacular!
11:53 - listen to her y’all!!! i own one (1) concealer and it’s the kosas one which i got bc of her recommendation and it’s been the best concealer i’ve ever used
This video was great! Have you thought about switching to the small beauty blender made for the under eyes? It helps me really get in to the inner corners of my eyes. Thanks for all your videos!
This might be one of my favorites from you yet! Thanks for sharing these details. I'm a kosas user because of you and will give Tower28 a try. Patiently hoping for your thoughts on the Live Tinted concealer too!
I am 61 and people think I'm 50. I never thought looking like I'm 50 would be a compliment, but it is what it is. I have never used a ton of stuff on my face and now don't even use foundation that much. I truly think keeping it very simple is why I don't look my age. Love your videos!
You explained this so well. Underneath my eyes quite a lot of hollowness and darkness has developed and really ages me. I wonder if there are any dupes.
Excellent video! Much appreciate makeup for real life which is much less forgiving …lol Dry sponge, dry sponge dry sponge…..even for powder….Im imprinting this in my brain, such a good tip!
Hi Amanda! This is such an informative video and thank you so much for the time you invested to create it. I have been looing through your videos, but have you tried Givenchy Prisme Libre concealer? I am very curious about it, and I trust your opinion very much. Thanks! So close to 100k subscribers!
Good video. I thought about this a lot after I went to my bathroom mirror and tilted my head up. I have eye hollows, and just minor shadows. Problem is I'm not tilting my head up at work or when I'm walking on the street or when having brunch with my friends. I'm fairly short, so most people look down at me in the office when I'm standing or when I'm seated at my desk, so for the most part of my day to day living, I will still appear to have undereye shadows.
NO ONE reviews products and explains textures and feel of products like you do. I really appreciate your videos and demos.
🥺 thank you so much
She’s the best ❤
I agree she’s the best amanda
Yes to the darkness video! I’m a hollow and darkness girlie, so it would be so helpful. Your concealing videos have been game changing for me
Saaaaame. But not pigmentation for me, more of that thin skin, veins showing through, purplish kind of dark under eye.
As someone who has been literally called Corpse Bride because of my hereditary deep-set eyes, I appreciate how much content you dedicate to this! ❤
I'm very sorry someone said something so unkind to you. People need to stop and think before they comment on something over which you have no control.
They said that to you because they haven't seen me! 😄
the tip about over blending is soooo helpful, trying today
edit: it worked for me, game changer.
I almost didn’t click on this video, because I’ve watched/read so many tutorials on this topic as someone with hollow eyes and dark circles. BUT GIRL! This was seriously a game changer, and I can’t thank you enough! Thank you for taking the time to break everything down for us ❤❤

Im so excited to hear ylur thought on the tower 28 concealer. I feel like you're truly the only person i trust with makeup recs.
Woah, love this! I have always thought I needed concealer, but I know I don’t have darkness. I have hollowness! Super useful, thank you!
Yes please for colour correction (with bags🤦🏻♀️)🥰

A photographer, not a make up artist, is the one who told me that my eyes were deep set. This is so good that you're explaining this!
I'm very insecure about the hollowness, texture and darkness of my under eyes. And I'm constantly trying to find ways to neutralize them but its hard. This was helpful. Thank you.
Same here. It was very helpful on the hollows vs darkness.
Yes! Please do a video on pigmentation!

Thanks for this video so helpful! I love the Kosas concealer and you just sold me on the Tower 28!
So well done Amanda! Thank you!
You’re analysis of pigment vs hollow is genius! And great application tips!!! 🎉 Excellent video! 🌟🌟🌟
This is extremely helpful and very well explained. I recently purchased the T28 and I am loving it as well.

the timing of this video is perfect 🥰 thank you
Amanda… Do you have a background in art? The way you describe shape, Volume, lightness and darkness…you sound like an artist talking. :) Thank you so much for sharing your gift.
As a hollow undereye person myself, hands down this is the best video I've watched on the topic. Thanks for all of the tips Amanda!
I love you amanda I purchased all my makeup products depending on your videos really no one has real and depth reviews like you 🥹 I really appreciate your content please don’t stop
I love your way in explaining everything in one product in all sides ❤️
Go ahead we all love you 🥹🥹🥹
I have significant darkness AND hollows, with fair skin, so I really appreciated this!
My mind is blown, this video is right up my alley. Thank you so much Amanda!!
This video is SO HELPFUL I’m so excited to try this technique and I’ll try to remember to comment back how it works for me
Yes!! Please, please show us how to color correct purple darkness AND bags!! I desperately need some help!!!😢

Girl, your voice is sooo soothing. Love your videos. Big fan from NYC
I always love your vibe. To me you’re so sophisticated and classy. And yeah I also like leaning towards natural.
Enjoyed the Kosas concealer very much, but tossed it too soon because it started to smell funny. Helpful video Amanda!
BY FAR the BEST, most comprehensive explanation of how to properly apply concealer that I have ever seen. Wonderful. You are a true artist.I will have to watch it a few more times and practice. Love the freckle suggestion, too. Brilliant!
Hi Amanda! Yay, my perfect video. I have hollows and dark circles. I’m curious what eye cream you use and recommend for dry under eyes??❤
Your instructions were brilliant! As a more mature woman, I want to cover darkness in my undereye area of course, but lighter and more naturally. Thank you for those important tips, tricks and recommendations! ❤️
Best under eye and concealer application ever! 👏🏻
I was dying to know your thoughts on the Tower 28 concealer. Thank you so much for going so detailed!
Hi Amanda,
Thank you again for the great and informative review. The products looked beautiful on you. I really enjoyed watching your video. The Merit Solo Shadow is gorgeous 😍. I can’t wait to get it. ✨

your videos are always so helpful and educative!
I returned my haus labs concealer and got the tower 28 because of you, I’m excited to try it out!

This video is greatly appreciated! 💕
Thank you Ms. Amanda...this is a topic I really struggle with as my undereyes alway look super dark. I now know its the hollows, which are like the depths of the Grand Canyon..
Love this! I will be trying in the morning for sure.
Apart from this, great video! ❤
Best and most helpful content ever!
After watching several reviews of the Tower 28 concealer, I suspected you might like it. Now I know & now I can buy it 😊
This was amazingly helpful! I don’t have very deep set under eyes, but it made such a difference in my concealer.
Yes! This resonates big time. Thank you!
I am so glad I stumbled onto this video! And I painted the towers concealer looks way better
Praying you’ll find a holy grail concealer from a non-“clean” brand one day 🙏🏻 We have very similar undereye areas, but I hate how quickly “clean” concealers go off!
Have you tried Nars radiant creamy one?
Dior forever skin correct concealer is good
Agreed! My Kosas concealer still works but the lid is shattering. It’s too pricy for the poor packaging.
Lowkey my Kosas concealer I’ve had for almost a year and it smells as good as I first bought it
@@CaBr.Very good product. I like the all in one.

Thank you so much for your great video. It really makes since.
This video was great! Have you thought about switching to the small beauty blender made for the under eyes? It helps me really get in to the inner corners of my eyes. Thanks for all your videos!
Amazing technique!
This might be one of my favorites from you yet! Thanks for sharing these details. I'm a kosas user because of you and will give Tower28 a try. Patiently hoping for your thoughts on the Live Tinted concealer too!
Brilliant, helpful video. Thank you ❤
Such a helpful video! Thank you!
I have recently been advised to use setting spray on the sponge before and after concealer. It is good
Love your style🌸💖🌸💖

I'm fairly short, so most people look down at me in the office when I'm standing or when I'm seated at my desk, so for the most part of my day to day living, I will still appear to have undereye shadows.
