"Hmm, I'm going to be saying 'Gloucester' several times, and I'm not sure how to say it. Should I look it up? Nah, I'll just start by saying that I'm sure I'm saying it wrong, that'll be enough."
This game is 100% better than it looks. It is a really cool tactical little 2 player game. I mean its got positional abstract going on, set collection, time management, even polyomino tile laying. Definitely one of Dr Fin's best 2 player games and that is saying something for the designer.
Never change Joey! I love how you couldn't be bothered about how to pronounce Gloucester! I like to think you knew it was going to be a trigger for so many! Cheers mate!
Imagine a prequel where the Earl takes young Edgar and young Edmund on a competitive fishing trip. Asymmetrical player powers would have Edgar vulnerable to cold temperatures, the Earl to visibility conditions, and Edmund to, um, mermaids? Anyway, this is my head canon now for this game!
I live less than an hour from this place, and every time he said "Glow-chester" a piece of my soul died.
Like nails on a chalkboard. He should learn how to say it. It was so painful
Incredible
I'm from there and it just made me laugh. My soul remains intact.

Pronunciation was spot on, Joey! Can you pass me the War-Chester-Shire sauce?😂
If you can say, "foster," you can say "Glousester." It basically sounds like "Gloster." :D
“Gloss-Ter.” Or if you’re from Mass, “Glah-Stah.”
I guess the cover art is inspired by Emile Renouf's painting called "The Helping Hand"
Mans really went and called it GLOWCHESTAH
GLOSS-ter. Or, in the local flavor, GLAWSSTAH.
This is [GLOSTER]
When no one can focus on the game content because they care too much about pronunciation
10:35 Steer clear of Joey on the DT Cruise, I guess...
In French you don't pronounce the end of the word. In English you don't pronounce the middle
Saw the title and hoped it was a King Lear themed game 😜

Ignore the petty people. I thought it was a great video! 🙂
Played this game. It's just a meh game..
That’s subjective.
And valid@@spunx44
@@spunx44 it always is. How should he have worded for you to be satisfied?
Glow- Chester lol
This is the only Steve Finn game that I haven't enjoyed. I found it to be tedious and uninteresting. He has much better games.

It's pronounced 'Glosster'!
Pretty meh game. Does the job and that's about it. Took a while for me to even sell it on.
Disagreed. There‘s more here than meets the eye. Started unlocking the subtle ways after three games
Gloucester is pronounced GLOSS-TER
GLOSS-ter. Because English makes all kinds of sense!
Glah-stah
@@ryanlackie1129 Nowhere in the world is it pronounced Glah Stah ... lol
It's GLOSS TER as Kevin said. or rather, Gloss ster.
It's pronounced Glah-stah in Glass-gee
@milest4214 having lived and worked there, I can assure you the yokels living there call it "Glarrrsta"
I'm assuming it's Gloucester Massachusetts, not Gloucester UK as the UK one is some distance from the sea!
