First thing you need to know about Blink, is they are BAT SHIT CRAZY! Seriously - they were awesome, but basically a bunch of stoned 12 year olds and were just hilarious. So yeah, this wasn't so much a parody as they were flat out MOCKING all the boy/girl/pop bands of the time.
If you want to know about their sense of humor, I TRIPLE dog dare you to listen to "Happy Holidays, You Bastard". It's only 42 seconds long, but they squeeze a hell of a lot into those 42 seconds. Thanks for listening. If you like these guys, you should also try "Sum 41", also punk rockers from the late 90's/early 00's. "Fat Lip" or "In Too Deep" are both good. Similar sense of humor, possibly even more juvenile!

The 90s was all about making fun of each other. U see countless goofy videos from the late 80s through the early 2000s. Blink was very light hearted when it came to their videos w the exception of a few more meaningful songs they had.

Specifically a parody of Backstreet Boys and 98 Degrees...but the irony is that the three guys in BLINK are as cute as the guys in the boy bands. But they wrote really great songs while also having a sense of humor.

Seen them live 5 times and Travis Barker, the drummer, was raised on p plat form came out over the cloud an was flipped upside down and spun every which way. One of the most talented drummers I’ve ever seen and I’ve seen over 100 bands live

Speaking of boyband parodies check out 2gether or 2ge+ther. They were an mtv movie parody of the boyband craze. They could actuslly sing and had two albums out. Unfortunatly one the members died and that was the end of 2gether. They were seriously amazing.

The song itself is a love song for Tom's then-girlfriend and now wife, featuring lines from their actual relationship, such as leaving roses by the stairs for him when he came late night from studio.
The music video as you digged is making fun of various pop stars's music videos, often using the exact same locations and settings to reproduce 😄
Some parodied boy bands and pop stars are: Backstreet Boys, NSYNC, Britney Spears, 98 Degrees, Christina Aguilera and many more.

Travis Barker is the drummer, he's does the beat for a bunch of rap songs recently in the past few year, very talented at what he does.

At the time there was an all out war between rockers/rappers and all the pop groups. The more hardcore groups would definitely clown the pop stars. So this was a satire of all the pop groups in the TRL era

I told you to do this video when you watched the Backstreet Boys' one. A really fun parody of that and a couple of more videos of that era XD
To go in a different direction with the 90s, react to Pulp - Common People ;)

Please react to the boybands N-sync and FIVE! I don't think many people know about FIVE. They were a UK band that had some considerable recognised success here in the UK and Europe! Edgy for their time period and wrote/co wrote a lot of their songs which was rare for boy bands at the time!
