NCT have truly had an amazing year, banger after banger, nonstop fun and good music. "Phantom" by WayV is SO intense and epic, they really outdid themselves! They do actually have a full album, "Awaken The World" from 2020, the album with "Turn Back Time". I hope you also check out the "Diamonds Only" track video from this "Phantom" mini album! It's so good, WayV never disappoint. Also, NCT 127 already announced that the repackage will be on January 30th of 2023! So just a couple weeks til they start promoting it and posting teasers for it! Can't wait. "Candy" by Dream is SO nostalgic and fun, it doesn't feel like a regression in concept for them, fun and cute doesn't have to equal childish and I think Dream do that perfectly, because "Beatbox" was similar to "Candy" in a way, an old school pop and hip hop vibe.

I guess your not very well versed in lyrics because the lyrics make total sense and are relatable to individuals who understand the dark side of mental health. It is a person who is going through dark thoughts and struggling and even though they say Noone cam help them or they trust Noone they are fearful and the knock knock is anyone out there is a cry for help. The lyrics aren't bad actually they are quite genius and Vernon writes and composes a lot of songs even for Seventeen as well as solo.

Vernon co-wrote the lyrics for black eye though? although it was originally eng-kor however I don't see anything wrong with how it is written though,, it's pop punk so it is rly straightforward and idk maybe I'm used to Vernon's writing? that im used to his style
edit: btw this is like a cry for help kinda song so I know the spit in your mouth was eye catching but it is a very sad song,, "put a muzzle on me. I'll spit in your mouth" , I actually relate too much to this song coz I fu**ing hate this world too hahaha..
Right, I don't think the lyrics are bad... maybe a little on the comercial/generic side but I got the message and vibe he was trying to portrait, I don't think it was meant to be a deep lyrics type of song, more like a fun song. Also, to be fair most lyrics from kpop songs aren't THAT good or deep and they mostly rely on the concept but us international fans can't tell and just eat it up because we don't know korean 😭

The lyrics sound like the typical English lyrics that are scattered throughout a kpop song. As if it was translated directly from Korean it sounds a bit awkward. The words make sense but they feel a bit out of place and unnatural

Have you guys not listened to any of WayV’s albums?😳 yes, they do have a full length album and it’s one of my favorite albums of all time - WayV’s b-sides are EPICALLY good and I really hope you take the time to listen to them… this album has five other new tracks (plus they added two previously released unit tracks-Low Low and Back to You) and every one of them is amazing… I loved Phantom, but it isn’t one of my favorites on the album-they really did themselves justice with this release… PLEASE please check it out!!❤️🔥
