- Unforgettable Camping and Fishing Trip at Cape Lookout
In this video I travel up the coast of North Carolina to the island of Cape Lookout in the hopes of enjoying a couple of days camping on the beach and surf fishing for red drum and any other game fish I can catch. The weather had other plans however. Let me give you a valuable tip if you're planning a trip here. Go during the months of September and October if you're going for the fishing and camping. If you're going just to enjoy the beach and the sites, rent a cabin. It really is an awsome place to go. The video is a little long but it was required to tell the story. It's a DJI, belongs to the company. That's about a $7000 drone. Had someone from work fly it for me.
May and October are the best months to go as far as weather.

@@TheCarolinacadmanOutdoors definitely not! That place is no joke! It's as wild as it gets. You're on the very edge of the continent sticking way out in the ocean. True wilderness! Don't give up though! Try again and maybe bring someone else with you. I'd be happy to offer some pointers if you ever want to go back. I was there in November (11/23) and we're going back again in April (4/24).
