Just because others would have had worse reaction doesn't justify that move. May not be as serious as a dick move, but definitely not a pleasant one. Bad is bad even for Quickbaby. Don't get me wrong though, I am not hating here, I love QB's videos.
Well done, Mr. Quickybaby. The 2nd replay is what makes this tank review not just good, but brilliant. You can see how you might be struggling with that tank and when awful mobility and gun handling can become a problem. You should include a fail replay in all your future tank reviews. However, you are wrong about marmite. It is simply disgusting.
+QuickyBaby I second what ytgregoar said. Sometimes a "bad" replay can show much better which mistakes to avoid than yet another perfect 17k damage 16 kills ace tanker replay. Also it's less discouraging to the mere mortals that we viewers are :P About the marmite... I heard love of marmite can be cured these days. A couple of weeks of psychotherapy in a distinctly non-British environment with proper food is said to help. :P
the tank is not bad but the mobility is very very bad ,, some games i make good credits ,, some games i can not just because of speed of the tank this tank need speed buff
+mh waso ironically enough the fricking freedom seems to haul ass and move. Wheres its review because iv heard many people say the freedom has considerable buffs and it is the most common tier 8 premium i see on console.
Absolutely love my Super pershing. Great armor at mid to long ranges and a reliable gun. Average 2000 damage per game in it, wiggling your tank makes it incredibly hard for people to shoot your weak points especially at mid range, and once you train up your crew you can get your accuracy to .35, so you can reliably hit the enemy at mid ranges, and your gold rounds can pen anything you face. Would definitely recommend, although a bit of skill is required to know the weak spots of enemy tanks and using your armor most effectively.
+Johnny Yu First off its not a L/70 gun no American tank i believe uses L/ anything its the T15E1 90mm Stabilized gun which can penetrate on avg from 2000 yards 173mm of armor WG is close in terms of scale of maps and historical information but i agree a tank that can do that 2000 yards away should get least somewhere around 200-230mm of penetration[which is possible from 1000 yards. not being a dick just one of my favorite tanks so here's a little fact :P
+Kody Larson You do realize L/ is the gun Caliber right? for example the 90mm L/70 what you would do is do 90mm times that by 70 and that is the gun barrel length.
Not on the system. Im also not sure about the 258 pen on the premium rounds. I can pen the side of a vk100p with standard ammo with my T29 which has about 200 pen and i was bouncing 5-7 shots just trying to pen it.

I've played several hundred games in my SP, and I really like it. Yes it is slow, and yes you need to be aggressive, so that means you need to know the maps well, and make sure you put yourself in the best position, since you can't relocate very easily. QB, you did a great job showing the highs and lows of this tank in 2 short replays. As long as you are patient with the speed, and have backup to protect your flanks, you can deal a lot of damage!
When I first got this tank, the slow speed & low penetration was a shock. But I have adapted my play for this tank and now love it! Nifty little brawler and my best money maker. I thoroughly enjoy your videos , keep up the great work!
I bought my Super Pershing recently (last Wednesday) and since then I've almost got my second skill maxed out on all crew, have had several game whereby I did more than 4k and even 5k damage and in others bounced more than 5k damage. There is certainly a knack to playing this tank. When I first started playing this tank it was a love hate relationship. I would die instantly to those pesky scumbags or go on an absolute rampage. Eventually however you will work out the best way to play this tank to make the most of it and that is to play it as a breakthrough tank, lead your team's advance while wiggling and swerving to make those weak spots impossible to hit and your team will (usually) follow you through the breach in the enemy's line and to victory. A key point is that you will need to load lots of premium ammo, this is due to tanks such as the IS3, KV4 ad the E75 to name a few that will be impervious to your 170 AP pen. Also note that the Super Pershing gains a colossal amount of shell velocity with it's gold ammo so sniping is a piece of cake, a negative however is that the HE ammo on the Pershing is very weak only having 45 pen and only 320 alpha. My average damage is 1.4k and rising as I learn how to perfect the play style of this monster. Another great tip is to look at what tanks you have at the start of a game and if you are low on heavies for example back your heavies up, you will easily suffice as a heavy replacement with your riot shield armour and will plug the gap in your line. Or you can aid your mediums and add some serious armour to your medium's push and even tank to allow your teammates to advance safely. The Super Pershing is then a versatile tank which needs time to work out, however if you do this you will yield the best results. Good luck and have fun lads! :)
+Eivind “Eggy” Eggen Meh It's helpful if people don't know your weak spots however a good Super Pershing player will use several techniques to avoid those spots being hit. One of these would to be to rapidly and randomly wiggle the turret and tank in between shots. Furthermore if you use the gun depression the weak spots are hidden. Another method is to simply stay at range, smaller target and thus smaller weak spots to hit. Also when going round a corner go front first, never side scrape in this tank it will always end badly lol. To sum it up yes noobs suck vs this tank however even good players can fail against this thing's armour.

The thing to keep in mind is that both the M26 Pershing and the T26E4 Super Pershing were both classified as heavy tanks in World War II. It was only after the American heavy tank program went into full swing to counter the Soviet IS tanks that they were reclassified as medium tanks. As a side note, only one T26E4 saw combat. It is credited with 4 kills, all of them single penetrations, one through the under belly of a Tiger II, setting its ammunition on fire. In actuality, the T26E4's experimental gun was capable of 330mm RHS penetration at 100 yards!
+Stephen Rennie What ? How ? CDC has 212, FV has 226, pen doesn't make a tank OP alone. SP is still slow as hell with no armor anywhere else than the front, and still has multiple frontal weakspots.
Yea if they buffed it to that pen level tho, SP would have to play against tier 10s. An than its armor would not be worth anything, and it would still be slowest in class so.... i will not complain to hard.
+DarkRavin07 They wouldn't have to buff it to tier 10. That pen of 220 is still shit for tier 8. It can't pen is-3's still with 220 or pen most tier 9's without apcr and its armor still sucks.

The Super Pershing USED to have good armour, until they nerfed it and everyone in the game knows the massive weak spots. I really hate this tank and it makes me really annoyed that Wargaming unnecessarily nerf decent premium tanks. Ik that they shouldn't be better than the non-premium equivalent, but the T26E4 wasn't, because it was really slow and the gun was (and still is) much worse than the normal Pershing.
Since getting my Super Pershing, and figuring how to use it properly, I've decided I love it. It's literally a license to print silver credits. It can also anchor a flank once you get it pointed forward and in a position where it can't be outflanked.

Hi Quicky, I once wrote a comment that you show the tanks only as top tiers. It changed then and you mostly show now how they perform being low tier. I know, it's pref mm. But in this case, you've shown us the biggest minus, the speed. Your reviews are probably now the most balanced ones, showing all of the good and the bad sides of a tank. I think this helps a lot to consider if it's worth to buy a certain tank. THank you for doing this!
Most heavily armored QB? I beg to differ. When I drive my Super P, I get penned by EVERYTHING and ALL the time. It actually makes me angry and quite often I put in the garage to collect dust. I bought it because when I face it I can NEVER pen it. My driving experience is completely the opposite though. Another WoT disappointment.
I LOVE my Super Pershing! It's best MM is when you get an entire tomato enemy team, and they've no idea where your weak points are, so you just soak up the damage while dealing tonnes with the good dpm! Great review QB.
Curious about why you would use a top-tier unicum replay against a purely tomato/pancake enemy team as your example video. Most players will NEVER achieve 4447dmg games in this tank. Respectfully, noobs should be under no illusion that this tank will give them games like the first one in this replay. If you are bad, and especially if you haven't even reached tier 8 on regular tanks, then you will get annihilated in this tank.

that preview for T-34-3 is old as well you know new tanks were added to the game WOT changed a lot when QB was reviewing T-34-3 and Panther 8.8 QB did not Panther 8.8 its not a bad tank.

Using the tank myself I found it to be a struggle. I feel like it just couldn't do what it needed during matches. See an open flank not fast enough to take advantage, Push through the front outmatched by REAL heavy tanks, and gun wise it's just not good compared to most tanks it's tier which I fought almost ever match. On the flip side while using my T25/2 a Decent TD I found I could outplay the SPershing at any range, and that's without gold because I didn't need gold to pen the T26 with ease. (The T25/2 for a TD has a weak gun, and 6-7 gold rounds is recommend) Honestly the tank feels like it's only use is to bully lower teirs, or bad players. Which you could do with better tanks.
Super Pershing is one of my most played tanks, it really just prints money. Almost never have to fire permium rounds at targets. An even after all these years, most people still don't understand how to deal with a SP charging them. Its fantasticly fun to play when you get use to her faults.

I have the Super Pershing. I happen to love it. When the crap hits the fan and your hull down in that beast it is next to impossible for anyone to dig you out. I have survived even getting pulled into by a platoon mate into a tier 10 battle and I was the one that facehugged and destroyed a JGE100 from point Blank range. meaning I rammed my face into his gun and survived 3 rounds of 170mm fire from him.
Super Pershing so bad. I got penned like 70% of the time frontally and I couldn't pen anyone without gold ammo. Then the mobility, it's really bad. Most of the time the match goes like the second one you showed but your team is so bad that in 3 minutes it's 1 vs 10. Then a light tank comes and you're dead too. Everyone just shoots your sides and rear and you can do nothing about it. It's sooo frustrating and I don't recommend it to anyone.
+MrPeneska I can't play it right? What? I do fine against is-3s. You just have to learn how to make your tanks armor effective, how to block shots with your gun and gun mantle.
I have always been an SP Lover. I did not abandon mine, when it was nerfed and I will not now. It was my very first Tier 8 Premium and I have loved it since. Not real good with it but I love it.
SuperPershing is one of my most successful tanks. It was my second tank, after KV-2, where I have got Radley-Walters. Also in this tank I have done most hits when moving than in other tanks I have.

They sure dont. This tank is over the top OP against badly armored tanks with low pen, if it gains more pen, its just OP. It needs to have some weaknesses
+Jesper Nielsen are you kidding? It has too much weaknesses. Slow, weak armor and crap gun. It needs its historic 220 pen so it can actually be worth buying.
Don't forget that the weak point on the sides of the turret is pretty much usable all the time. I find it easier to aim for one of the cheeks under the spaced riot shield plate than aiming for the cupola in most circumstances.
+Finnster yes, youtube pays based off of minutes watched so the goal of videos is to get the viewers to watch as long as possible usually with promises of more at the start. especially with a review or unboxing type video.
my opinion.... you were correct in pushing in front of t54 mod 1 & taking control of engagement ..if he was platooned with you. he would have give you the corner..
The Super Pershing is a sealclubber. Against teams without many good players you can do a lot, but as soon as soon as you face better enemys you will need a lot of luck and a lot of gold to stay competitive.
Historically a lot of it's shortcomings are because the super pershing was a battlefield adaptation to a specific situation. It was already an under powered tank. It was using the same power plant employed by the Sherman if I'm not mistaken, and was given to transmission failures. But a lot of the tanks it was fighting against were as well. It starts to look a lot more competitive against Panthers and Tigers IRL in that respect. Most of the tanks it was up against in those matches came years after, or immediately after the Pershing did in an age when technology was rapidly advancing. So of course they would be better.
I've always loved my super pig, I've had it since the beginning. I'll quite often run high octane on it to get a bit of a boost on speed and turret traverse. Going back a ways I've got an 8.11 replay where I blocked nearly 11,000 damage.
this was the first premium i bought and i haven't regretted it its a great mix of good price for the rewards you get. if you buy it when its on sale for any amount of discount get it. the American mediums are fun and its a fun challenge to play as well and the profits are really nice
1 586 Battles with SP - 3 stars on gun, earned it on event (gain 60k exp in every country to get SP for example same event for is-6 - 100k exp) and I LOVE IT !!! :D Armor is so OP, gun its quite ok but penetration on standard ammo should be better and enage enemy on CLOSE COMBAT :P
We need a right of way system for corners. Something like tanks with highest alpha/clip potential get priority, followed by tanks with quicker reloads or like less aim time, so that we don't have people sitting in front of you for 5 seconds only to do 200 dmg while you could have done double that or more.
Finally a Super Pershing Video, its was so great using it on the asia server sinve everyone just shoot at the lower plate. And now thanks to this video, those asians will know where to shoot. Thx QB
Kind of reminds me of the 3 types games you can get with the T95. Either not fast enough to get to front line, decimate everything there, or team died before you can get there and you're next. A few years ago, when I first started WoT, my clan leader gifted me the super perishing, I still don't know why, and I never really know how to play it, I haven't in so long because I did so terribly in it.
The recent buff changed the game for the Super Pershing. Some time ago, they nerfed the space armor, everyone quit playing it, it was pure garbage. So then they buffed it back with the spaced armor again, and boom, it's the tank you see here. It's worth playing to make credits, because, boy, does it ever.
Hey QB I loved the review of superpershing its my favorite prem by far I have about 1200-1300 battles in it! Some tips from my experience auto aim almost never works for the front of this tank. It's great when you can force tanks to snapshot it can really shine. During the game where u got lost on the hill, I like to push aggressively and spot for the team and take the hits, often you can bait the faster tanks and the big guns to shoot at you in the fast paced games and then get tracking and spotting damage. In terms of ammo I use prem for anything that pens me (with reason) you can pen those pesky is6's and is3's if you know they don't know how to shoot you. It's great for pubs and I love it as a relaxing money maker, by far my most played prem and one of my most favorite tanks.

just bought mine only 10 games in on it but already have made nearly 500k with a 50 percent win and like a 76 hit rate I love it its alot of fun to platoon in as well and with the knowledge of where to aim at on tanks you can make that gun slam round after round home without the need to use apcr rounds but don't forget to keep moving/ wiggling
I just realized that the falling explosion sound in the beginning of these videos is the same sound effect that plays when the Moon's Tear falls in Majora's Mask.
I got the Super Pershing back in the day when it was still new-ish, and I had it for 500 battles (exactly, as a matter of fact), and when WG offered that refund for it that long while back, I jumped on the chance to get my gold back and bought me a JagTiger 88 instead. While I didn't really hate the tank itself, it did grow fondly on me, I just felt that the combination of poor mobility, poor firepower, and a lot of easy weaknesses in the armour, I needed to trade it in when I got the chance.
I watched this video before even considering buying this tank (I was bored and wanted to learn). I eventually just gave in and bought the thing anyways because I was seeing them all around the battlefield kicking ass and I had birthday money to spend. At first, I didn't think much of this tank until it was given a buff with 205mm of pen on it's standard ammo (I play on WoT Blitz). Now, this thing is an absolute beast. You can kick so much ass in this thing! I totally recommend getting this tank if you are even slightly competent in this game! It is amazing hull down and very very very trollish with regards to armor. The rate of fire too catches people off guard most of the time and you can just (say it with me) kick their ass!! This tank is not entirely OP. It can be easily out run, has clearly defined weak spots (excluding one of the cupolas) and it has quite bad side armor. However, if you can negate all of these downsides, then the tank will seem OP. If you complain about a tank's weaknesses and thus call it a bad tank, you are playing it wrong. You can play any tank effectively and efficiently should you be skilled enough to play them! I laugh at those who say that a tank is bad because they complain about the weaknesses, as if the tank is supposed to be unable to be beaten. You must must must realize that the negation of weaknesses during battle make this tank successful! If YOU do not take the time to effectively negate the weaknesses, then you are doing the tank and your team a disservice! (The reason I went on this rant was because a clan member called the Super Pershing trash, I had to vent somewhere lol)
I just had a 3k done/blocked game in my Super Pershing tonight on Red Oaks. I got myself stuck in on a corner vs 2 Japanese Super Heavies and a Tiger II. Throw in a CDC, a Type VI heavy, and random medium, and I should have been in trouble. I really wasn't though. The other tanks on the flank kept the enemy from circling around me, and I kept my armor in the way of the enemies' guns. Once the O-NI tried to force his way through, I got clean shots on his side and the mini turret weak points. Easy pickings. A touch of gold cleaned up the O-Ho, and the Tiger II just about crapped himself, and in panic started shooting HE at my spaced armor when his AP shells kept failing once I actually started pushing his corner. I love my Super Pershing, and it's responsible for the majority of the silver I've accumulated during my "career" if you will.
It's very fun to own both super Pershing and regular Pershing. They both play very differently and when you lose money in the Pershing like you almost always do for having your treads get dirty l, you can just make double the money back in the super. They remind me of the jumbo vs easy eight sherman.

yeah that armor is like hell when i 'm running a tank with poor penetration gun and i get one of this in front suddently!! but once again that mobility... arty always going to love them, and if the terrain is fairly good you can circle it like a heavy tank
I got my first Kolobonav in a SuperP. It is an OK tank, but just like you said. It's hot/cold. You have epic games or really bad ones, very little in between. You have to be a tactical genius to make it shine every game, seeing as early game choices are really important. In most 1on1 scenarios, you can win, unless vs light tanks. Otherwise don't get flanked. I do on average make a lot more credits in superp than anything else. I don't shoot premium often, except against front facing jigtig88. The premium rounds aren't that expensive and due to them being APCR, you can pen reliably and recoup the cost. I honestly feel it needs a slight buff, but than it would cost more. Keep in mind I do have a 3 skill crew in my super p, which without that I feel it would be a chore to play (which it did, since i got it for credit making back when i first started). I do enjoy playing it though.
I always enjoyed this tank and I got used to the gun from the Hellcat (same ammo) pen wise. The major downside of this tank however is that it is quite easy to pen from the front so whenever you face people who know the tank it is a pos, but when people don't know it or rush shots it can shine.
I had a strong affinity for the E2 Sherman Jumbo (which is an Assault Medium) so this tank came naturally to me. Inexperienced heavy drivers will see a medium and underestimate them; major mistake. When you''re in a situation when you can't pen the enemy, GO FOR THE TRACKING SHOT. Hold a KV-4 in place while somebody else pens him. Just because you can't do damage, doesn't mean you can't be useful.
In reality, the Super pershings 2 38mm plates were only 17mm of armor individually. They're boiler plate, they are not made of the same hardness as rolled homogeneous armor or cast homogeneous armor (which is the quality of steel tanks were made of). People misunderstand the story of the Super pershing. It's often believed that they took the armor of a knocked out Panther and applied it to their pershing. In actuality only the extra gun mantle armor is taken from a Panther.
QB, you forgot to say that if you shot right in the gun it can be penned easily (it has not armor behaind it) so if you facehug a super pershing just shot in his gun and you are gonna dmged every time (we tested it with my clan in a training room)
I only just got the SP off the advice of a lot of players with the 2 top reasons being it's newer player friendly and it has pref match making, plus being cheap Vs other T8 primie tanks helps. I have to say, I like it, it plays a lot like a heavy tank which is perfect for me because I play heavy tanks a lot more then other kinds. So if you are a dedicated heavy tank player, use to playing slower heavy tanks, this medium is really good for you.
There are two things going for the Super Pershing.... The armor, as Quickybaby said, and the fact it practically prints credits. (If you don't fire premium). Other then that, yeah, it's atrocious, and up against good players who know to flank and shoot weak spots it fails. However, if you need to make some money for your next tank, the Super Pershing is a great tank to play.
i bought this vehicle yesterday and i already love it. I had a game where i bounced 7.7k worth of damage as well as taking 1500 damage whilst i dished out a nice 2.5k worth of damage. the superpershing is noob friendly as i have less than 1000 games and my highest tier on my tanks are tier 5 across multiple trees. From what ive played, the superpershing is a nice tank to play, when playing ive destroyed T43s, IS-3s, JagTiger 88s, FV4202 (P)s , m4a1 revolarisés, Tigers, JagPanthers and a few tier 9s. I bought the superpershing to play with my mates and i only started playing 2 months ago. i dont know how to angle, i dont know how to play my role but i still manage to contribute to my team and have fun in this thing. Ive only played a few premium vehicles and so far the superpershing is my favourite and is best the best value for price.
I love the super Pershing it's kinda like kv5 when under estimate it's a boss but when someone knows wat they're doing it gets messed up but if u know what ur doing u can pawn people easy
The T26E4 reciwed a few buffes: 1.) In patch 0.9.17. the T26E4 S.P. has a new AP shells with 192 mm of penetration 2.) In patch 1.2, the T26E2 again has a new AP shells with 202 mm of penetration 3.) In patch 1.2 the HP/t in now over 12 (still prety slow) 4.) In patch 1.2 DPM is a bit better, now it's 1800 (still not great) 5.)The armour on some parts has been increased in 1.2 patch
Bought 2 days ago. I have to calibrate my gameplay on this slow tank. I like how it looks like. The rof is very good: not at 100% crew but with the rammer my reload is 7.2 second, not so bad. The new penetration is good, it force me to learn the ws of the high tier

At the top of my tank list is the Super Pershing which I have played the most out of any other. For me its basically a heavy tank that armour is awesome. Had some great games had some bad its one of the best. Its worst enemies for sure are those hard to kill IS3's and metting another Super Pershing and because its slow our good SPG friends we hate so much. I recommend this tank which is also good for training up your Sherman crews. When played properly and with support from your team it can be a fun tank to play in.
Very nice review, definitely will try to use these tips to make mine better. Please do the Jumbo Sherman (M4A3E2) some time, The skills from that tank translate fairly well into the SuperPersh and most all US heavies.
I love the Super Pershing, at first I really didn't like it because the armor didn't do as advertised. I watched some videos and found out that the tank's armor was really good when it was first put into the game but in one of the updates prior to my purchase of the SP, WG changed the slope of the armor front armor which made ruined it's effectiveness. Luckily WG again fixed this problem when they released the HD model of the tank and reset the front armor angle to what it used to be. I have had some really nice games with mine including an epic battle where I won a 1 vs. 7 battle.
In a game where couple of allies are campers(often had in my experiences) the more survival ability you get the more chance you can carry the game so I would quite happy to deal with that damn mobility in order to win the game and make credit
Super Perishing is my go to tank. if you have a crew that has like 5 crew skills this it pretty much makes its faults better (snap shot, smooth ride, etc). I don't play this tank for credits I play it for damage and xp so my crews can lvl faster. So I'll sling gold without hesitation. Especially when push comes to shove

+Beef Ingot Hardly. He pushed him out of the way to damage grab. The mod would have tracked him and damaged him as Quicky did however he was barged out of the way. Even Quicky admitted to it and good on him for doing so, and that's what others wouldn't have done.
Just because others would have had worse reaction doesn't justify that move. May not be as serious as a dick move, but definitely not a pleasant one. Bad is bad even for Quickbaby. Don't get me wrong though, I am not hating here, I love QB's videos.

Well done, Mr. Quickybaby. The 2nd replay is what makes this tank review not just good, but brilliant. You can see how you might be struggling with that tank and when awful mobility and gun handling can become a problem. You should include a fail replay in all your future tank reviews. However, you are wrong about marmite. It is simply disgusting.

About the marmite... I heard love of marmite can be cured these days. A couple of weeks of psychotherapy in a distinctly non-British environment with proper food is said to help. :P

Absolutely love my Super pershing. Great armor at mid to long ranges and a reliable gun. Average 2000 damage per game in it, wiggling your tank makes it incredibly hard for people to shoot your weak points especially at mid range, and once you train up your crew you can get your accuracy to .35, so you can reliably hit the enemy at mid ranges, and your gold rounds can pen anything you face. Would definitely recommend, although a bit of skill is required to know the weak spots of enemy tanks and using your armor most effectively.

+Johnny Yu First off its not a L/70 gun no American tank i believe uses L/ anything its the T15E1 90mm Stabilized gun which can penetrate on avg from 2000 yards 173mm of armor WG is close in terms of scale of maps and historical information but i agree a tank that can do that 2000 yards away should get least somewhere around 200-230mm of penetration[which is possible from 1000 yards. not being a dick just one of my favorite tanks so here's a little fact :P

Not on the system. Im also not sure about the 258 pen on the premium rounds. I can pen the side of a vk100p with standard ammo with my T29 which has about 200 pen and i was bouncing 5-7 shots just trying to pen it.

I've played several hundred games in my SP, and I really like it. Yes it is slow, and yes you need to be aggressive, so that means you need to know the maps well, and make sure you put yourself in the best position, since you can't relocate very easily. QB, you did a great job showing the highs and lows of this tank in 2 short replays. As long as you are patient with the speed, and have backup to protect your flanks, you can deal a lot of damage!
actually the KV-5 only has about 167 pen i think. so i'm pretty sure that the Super Pershing does not have the lowest pen of any tier 8-10 tank
But the T26E4 is standard preminum and KV-5 is not available to buy for gold at the tech tree only on deals

When I first got this tank, the slow speed & low penetration was a shock. But I have adapted my play for this tank and now love it! Nifty little brawler and my best money maker.

I bought my Super Pershing recently (last Wednesday) and since then I've almost got my second skill maxed out on all crew, have had several game whereby I did more than 4k and even 5k damage and in others bounced more than 5k damage. There is certainly a knack to playing this tank. When I first started playing this tank it was a love hate relationship. I would die instantly to those pesky scumbags or go on an absolute rampage.
Eventually however you will work out the best way to play this tank to make the most of it and that is to play it as a breakthrough tank, lead your team's advance while wiggling and swerving to make those weak spots impossible to hit and your team will (usually) follow you through the breach in the enemy's line and to victory. A key point is that you will need to load lots of premium ammo, this is due to tanks such as the IS3, KV4 ad the E75 to name a few that will be impervious to your 170 AP pen. Also note that the Super Pershing gains a colossal amount of shell velocity with it's gold ammo so sniping is a piece of cake, a negative however is that the HE ammo on the Pershing is very weak only having 45 pen and only 320 alpha. My average damage is 1.4k and rising as I learn how to perfect the play style of this monster.
Another great tip is to look at what tanks you have at the start of a game and if you are low on heavies for example back your heavies up, you will easily suffice as a heavy replacement with your riot shield armour and will plug the gap in your line. Or you can aid your mediums and add some serious armour to your medium's push and even tank to allow your teammates to advance safely.
The Super Pershing is then a versatile tank which needs time to work out, however if you do this you will yield the best results. Good luck and have fun lads! :)

+Eivind “Eggy” Eggen Meh It's helpful if people don't know your weak spots however a good Super Pershing player will use several techniques to avoid those spots being hit. One of these would to be to rapidly and randomly wiggle the turret and tank in between shots. Furthermore if you use the gun depression the weak spots are hidden. Another method is to simply stay at range, smaller target and thus smaller weak spots to hit. Also when going round a corner go front first, never side scrape in this tank it will always end badly lol. To sum it up yes noobs suck vs this tank however even good players can fail against this thing's armour.

The thing to keep in mind is that both the M26 Pershing and the T26E4 Super Pershing were both classified as heavy tanks in World War II. It was only after the American heavy tank program went into full swing to counter the Soviet IS tanks that they were reclassified as medium tanks. As a side note, only one T26E4 saw combat. It is credited with 4 kills, all of them single penetrations, one through the under belly of a Tiger II, setting its ammunition on fire. In actuality, the T26E4's experimental gun was capable of 330mm RHS penetration at 100 yards!

Yea if they buffed it to that pen level tho, SP would have to play against tier 10s. An than its armor would not be worth anything, and it would still be slowest in class so.... i will not complain to hard.

The Super Pershing USED to have good armour, until they nerfed it and everyone in the game knows the massive weak spots. I really hate this tank and it makes me really annoyed that Wargaming unnecessarily nerf decent premium tanks. Ik that they shouldn't be better than the non-premium equivalent, but the T26E4 wasn't, because it was really slow and the gun was (and still is) much worse than the normal Pershing.
Yup. I remember owning mine pre-nerf and tanking the hell out of a KV4. He ended up bouncing every shot he fired and I took him from full hp to zero.

Since getting my Super Pershing, and figuring how to use it properly, I've decided I love it. It's literally a license to print silver credits. It can also anchor a flank once you get it pointed forward and in a position where it can't be outflanked.

Hi Quicky, I once wrote a comment that you show the tanks only as top tiers. It changed then and you mostly show now how they perform being low tier. I know, it's pref mm. But in this case, you've shown us the biggest minus, the speed. Your reviews are probably now the most balanced ones, showing all of the good and the bad sides of a tank. I think this helps a lot to consider if it's worth to buy a certain tank. THank you for doing this!
Most heavily armored QB? I beg to differ. When I drive my Super P, I get penned by EVERYTHING and ALL the time. It actually makes me angry and quite often I put in the garage to collect dust. I bought it because when I face it I can NEVER pen it. My driving experience is completely the opposite though. Another WoT disappointment.
I LOVE my Super Pershing! It's best MM is when you get an entire tomato enemy team, and they've no idea where your weak points are, so you just soak up the damage while dealing tonnes with the good dpm! Great review QB.
Curious about why you would use a top-tier unicum replay against a purely tomato/pancake enemy team as your example video. Most players will NEVER achieve 4447dmg games in this tank. Respectfully, noobs should be under no illusion that this tank will give them games like the first one in this replay. If you are bad, and especially if you haven't even reached tier 8 on regular tanks, then you will get annihilated in this tank.

Using the tank myself I found it to be a struggle. I feel like it just couldn't do what it needed during matches. See an open flank not fast enough to take advantage, Push through the front outmatched by REAL heavy tanks, and gun wise it's just not good compared to most tanks it's tier which I fought almost ever match.
On the flip side while using my T25/2 a Decent TD I found I could outplay the SPershing at any range, and that's without gold because I didn't need gold to pen the T26 with ease. (The T25/2 for a TD has a weak gun, and 6-7 gold rounds is recommend)
Honestly the tank feels like it's only use is to bully lower teirs, or bad players. Which you could do with better tanks.
Super Pershing is one of my most played tanks, it really just prints money. Almost never have to fire permium rounds at targets. An even after all these years, most people still don't understand how to deal with a SP charging them. Its fantasticly fun to play when you get use to her faults.

I have the Super Pershing. I happen to love it. When the crap hits the fan and your hull down in that beast it is next to impossible for anyone to dig you out. I have survived even getting pulled into by a platoon mate into a tier 10 battle and I was the one that facehugged and destroyed a JGE100 from point Blank range. meaning I rammed my face into his gun and survived 3 rounds of 170mm fire from him.
Super Pershing so bad. I got penned like 70% of the time frontally and I couldn't pen anyone without gold ammo. Then the mobility, it's really bad. Most of the time the match goes like the second one you showed but your team is so bad that in 3 minutes it's 1 vs 10. Then a light tank comes and you're dead too. Everyone just shoots your sides and rear and you can do nothing about it. It's sooo frustrating and I don't recommend it to anyone.

I have always been an SP Lover. I did not abandon mine, when it was nerfed and I will not now. It was my very first Tier 8 Premium and I have loved it since. Not real good with it but I love it.

SuperPershing is one of my most successful tanks. It was my second tank, after KV-2, where I have got Radley-Walters.
Also in this tank I have done most hits when moving than in other tanks I have.

Don't forget that the weak point on the sides of the turret is pretty much usable all the time. I find it easier to aim for one of the cheeks under the spaced riot shield plate than aiming for the cupola in most circumstances.

The Super Pershing is a sealclubber. Against teams without many good players you can do a lot, but as soon as soon as you face better enemys you will need a lot of luck and a lot of gold to stay competitive.
Historically a lot of it's shortcomings are because the super pershing was a battlefield adaptation to a specific situation. It was already an under powered tank. It was using the same power plant employed by the Sherman if I'm not mistaken, and was given to transmission failures. But a lot of the tanks it was fighting against were as well. It starts to look a lot more competitive against Panthers and Tigers IRL in that respect. Most of the tanks it was up against in those matches came years after, or immediately after the Pershing did in an age when technology was rapidly advancing. So of course they would be better.

I've always loved my super pig, I've had it since the beginning. I'll quite often run high octane on it to get a bit of a boost on speed and turret traverse.
Going back a ways I've got an 8.11 replay where I blocked nearly 11,000 damage.

I stopped playing this game 2 years after came out and Quicky Baby is still staying strong with it. I must say that is something.
this was the first premium i bought and i haven't regretted it its a great mix of good price for the rewards you get. if you buy it when its on sale for any amount of discount get it. the American mediums are fun and its a fun challenge to play as well and the profits are really nice
1 586 Battles with SP - 3 stars on gun, earned it on event (gain 60k exp in every country to get SP for example same event for is-6 - 100k exp) and I LOVE IT !!! :D Armor is so OP, gun its quite ok but penetration on standard ammo should be better and enage enemy on CLOSE COMBAT :P
We need a right of way system for corners. Something like tanks with highest alpha/clip potential get priority, followed by tanks with quicker reloads or like less aim time, so that we don't have people sitting in front of you for 5 seconds only to do 200 dmg while you could have done double that or more.
Finally a Super Pershing Video, its was so great using it on the asia server sinve everyone just shoot at the lower plate. And now thanks to this video, those asians will know where to shoot. Thx QB
Kind of reminds me of the 3 types games you can get with the T95. Either not fast enough to get to front line, decimate everything there, or team died before you can get there and you're next. A few years ago, when I first started WoT, my clan leader gifted me the super perishing, I still don't know why, and I never really know how to play it, I haven't in so long because I did so terribly in it.

The recent buff changed the game for the Super Pershing. Some time ago, they nerfed the space armor, everyone quit playing it, it was pure garbage. So then they buffed it back with the spaced armor again, and boom, it's the tank you see here. It's worth playing to make credits, because, boy, does it ever.
The T95. Yeah, tell me about it. Game results in that thing only seemed to be two ways: Very good or very bad, with most being very bad.
Helpful Ive had the Super P for about 2 weeks now and Im just learning to play it this helped
Play it with 100 or 105 octane fuel. You don't need the fire ext. The fuel helps so much and makes it feel more like a medium.
Hey QB I loved the review of superpershing its my favorite prem by far I have about 1200-1300 battles in it! Some tips from my experience auto aim almost never works for the front of this tank. It's great when you can force tanks to snapshot it can really shine. During the game where u got lost on the hill, I like to push aggressively and spot for the team and take the hits, often you can bait the faster tanks and the big guns to shoot at you in the fast paced games and then get tracking and spotting damage. In terms of ammo I use prem for anything that pens me (with reason) you can pen those pesky is6's and is3's if you know they don't know how to shoot you. It's great for pubs and I love it as a relaxing money maker, by far my most played prem and one of my most favorite tanks.
I actually wanted to write you on today's video that I think you should focus on Tier 8 prem. tanks and all Tier X with your Tank Reviews as many people can't decide if to buy the tank or go for the line of tanks. And here you are, doing a review on T8 prem tank :D Nice job QB
just bought mine only 10 games in on it but already have made nearly 500k with a 50 percent win and like a 76 hit rate I love it its alot of fun to platoon in as well and with the knowledge of where to aim at on tanks you can make that gun slam round after round home without the need to use apcr rounds but don't forget to keep moving/ wiggling
I just realized that the falling explosion sound in the beginning of these videos is the
same sound effect that plays when the Moon's Tear falls in Majora's Mask.
I got the Super Pershing back in the day when it was still new-ish, and I had it for 500 battles (exactly, as a matter of fact), and when WG offered that refund for it that long while back, I jumped on the chance to get my gold back and bought me a JagTiger 88 instead.
While I didn't really hate the tank itself, it did grow fondly on me, I just felt that the combination of poor mobility, poor firepower, and a lot of easy weaknesses in the armour, I needed to trade it in when I got the chance.
I watched this video before even considering buying this tank (I was
bored and wanted to learn). I eventually just gave in and bought the
thing anyways because I was seeing them all around the battlefield
kicking ass and I had birthday money to spend. At first, I didn't think
much of this tank until it was given a buff with 205mm of pen on it's
standard ammo (I play on WoT Blitz). Now, this thing is an absolute
beast. You can kick so much ass in this thing! I totally recommend
getting this tank if you are even slightly competent in this game! It is
amazing hull down and very very very trollish with regards to armor.
The rate of fire too catches people off guard most of the time and you
can just (say it with me) kick their ass!!
This tank is not entirely OP. It can be easily out run, has clearly
defined weak spots (excluding one of the cupolas) and it has quite bad
side armor. However, if you can negate all of these downsides, then the
tank will seem OP.
If you complain about a tank's weaknesses and thus call it a bad tank,
you are playing it wrong. You can play any tank effectively and
efficiently should you be skilled enough to play them! I laugh at those
who say that a tank is bad because they complain about the weaknesses,
as if the tank is supposed to be unable to be beaten. You must must must
realize that the negation of weaknesses during battle make this tank
successful! If YOU do not take the time to effectively negate the weaknesses, then you are doing the tank and your team a disservice!
(The reason I went on this rant was because a clan member called the Super Pershing trash, I had to vent somewhere lol)
I just had a 3k done/blocked game in my Super Pershing tonight on Red Oaks. I got myself stuck in on a corner vs 2 Japanese Super Heavies and a Tiger II. Throw in a CDC, a Type VI heavy, and random medium, and I should have been in trouble.
I really wasn't though. The other tanks on the flank kept the enemy from circling around me, and I kept my armor in the way of the enemies' guns. Once the O-NI tried to force his way through, I got clean shots on his side and the mini turret weak points. Easy pickings. A touch of gold cleaned up the O-Ho, and the Tiger II just about crapped himself, and in panic started shooting HE at my spaced armor when his AP shells kept failing once I actually started pushing his corner.
I love my Super Pershing, and it's responsible for the majority of the silver I've accumulated during my "career" if you will.
Super Pershing lover for sure....always play mine when everything else fails me. saved a few games too.
It's very fun to own both super Pershing and regular Pershing. They both play very differently and when you lose money in the Pershing like you almost always do for having your treads get dirty l, you can just make double the money back in the super. They remind me of the jumbo vs easy eight sherman.
Love to blast the SP. They rage so well when you snipe the weak spots or flank them...it's like...heavy tank tears, but cheaper! lol.

yeah that armor is like hell when i 'm running a tank with poor penetration gun and i get one of this in front suddently!! but once again that mobility... arty always going to love them, and if the terrain is fairly good you can circle it like a heavy tank
Loved the super pershing, Ace Tanker top gun in my 1st game. Always shoot the cheeks. Very hard to hide that weak spot.
I got my first Kolobonav in a SuperP. It is an OK tank, but just like you said. It's hot/cold. You have epic games or really bad ones, very little in between. You have to be a tactical genius to make it shine every game, seeing as early game choices are really important. In most 1on1 scenarios, you can win, unless vs light tanks. Otherwise don't get flanked. I do on average make a lot more credits in superp than anything else. I don't shoot premium often, except against front facing jigtig88. The premium rounds aren't that expensive and due to them being APCR, you can pen reliably and recoup the cost. I honestly feel it needs a slight buff, but than it would cost more. Keep in mind I do have a 3 skill crew in my super p, which without that I feel it would be a chore to play (which it did, since i got it for credit making back when i first started). I do enjoy playing it though.
I always enjoyed this tank and I got used to the gun from the Hellcat (same ammo) pen wise.
The major downside of this tank however is that it is quite easy to pen from the front so whenever you face people who know the tank it is a pos, but when people don't know it or rush shots it can shine.
I had a strong affinity for the E2 Sherman Jumbo (which is an Assault Medium) so this tank came naturally to me. Inexperienced heavy drivers will see a medium and underestimate them; major mistake. When you''re in a situation when you can't pen the enemy, GO FOR THE TRACKING SHOT. Hold a KV-4 in place while somebody else pens him. Just because you can't do damage, doesn't mean you can't be useful.
In reality, the Super pershings 2 38mm plates were only 17mm of armor individually. They're boiler plate, they are not made of the same hardness as rolled homogeneous armor or cast homogeneous armor (which is the quality of steel tanks were made of).
People misunderstand the story of the Super pershing. It's often believed that they took the armor of a knocked out Panther and applied it to their pershing. In actuality only the extra gun mantle armor is taken from a Panther.
QB, you forgot to say that if you shot right in the gun it can be penned easily (it has not armor behaind it) so if you facehug a super pershing just shot in his gun and you are gonna dmged every time (we tested it with my clan in a training room)

I only just got the SP off the advice of a lot of players with the 2 top reasons being it's newer player friendly and it has pref match making, plus being cheap Vs other T8 primie tanks helps. I have to say, I like it, it plays a lot like a heavy tank which is perfect for me because I play heavy tanks a lot more then other kinds. So if you are a dedicated heavy tank player, use to playing slower heavy tanks, this medium is really good for you.
There are two things going for the Super Pershing.... The armor, as Quickybaby said, and the fact it practically prints credits. (If you don't fire premium). Other then that, yeah, it's atrocious, and up against good players who know to flank and shoot weak spots it fails. However, if you need to make some money for your next tank, the Super Pershing is a great tank to play.
at least anyone who have played a Super pershing got one hell of an understanding where to shot and when you have to use prem rounds.
i bought this vehicle yesterday and i already love it. I had a game where i bounced 7.7k worth of damage as well as taking 1500 damage whilst i dished out a nice 2.5k worth of damage. the superpershing is noob friendly as i have less than 1000 games and my highest tier on my tanks are tier 5 across multiple trees. From what ive played, the superpershing is a nice tank to play, when playing ive destroyed T43s, IS-3s, JagTiger 88s, FV4202 (P)s , m4a1 revolarisés, Tigers, JagPanthers and a few tier 9s. I bought the superpershing to play with my mates and i only started playing 2 months ago. i dont know how to angle, i dont know how to play my role but i still manage to contribute to my team and have fun in this thing. Ive only played a few premium vehicles and so far the superpershing is my favourite and is best the best value for price.
So, I just bought this. Hoping it goes well. i have the M46KR it's fast and fires fast as well but lacks armor to get you through the hard times.
Thanks you make me understand other team players when they act aggressively that way, now I understand and wont take it personal.
I love the super Pershing it's kinda like kv5 when under estimate it's a boss but when someone knows wat they're doing it gets messed up but if u know what ur doing u can pawn people easy
The T26E4 reciwed a few buffes:
1.) In patch 0.9.17. the T26E4 S.P. has a new AP shells with 192 mm of penetration
2.) In patch 1.2, the T26E2 again has a new AP shells with 202 mm of penetration
3.) In patch 1.2 the HP/t in now over 12 (still prety slow)
4.) In patch 1.2 DPM is a bit better, now it's 1800 (still not great)
5.)The armour on some parts has been increased in 1.2 patch
Bought 2 days ago. I have to calibrate my gameplay on this slow tank. I like how it looks like. The rof is very good: not at 100% crew but with the rammer my reload is 7.2 second, not so bad. The new penetration is good, it force me to learn the ws of the high tier

At the top of my tank list is the Super Pershing which I have played the most out of any other. For me its basically a heavy tank that armour is awesome. Had some great games had some bad its one of the best. Its worst enemies for sure are those hard to kill IS3's and metting another Super Pershing and because its slow our good SPG friends we hate so much. I recommend this tank which is also good for training up your Sherman crews. When played properly and with support from your team it can be a fun tank to play in.

Please do the Jumbo Sherman (M4A3E2) some time, The skills from that tank translate fairly well into the SuperPersh and most all US heavies.
I love the Super Pershing, at first I really didn't like it because the armor didn't do as advertised. I watched some videos and found out that the tank's armor was really good when it was first put into the game but in one of the updates prior to my purchase of the SP, WG changed the slope of the armor front armor which made ruined it's effectiveness. Luckily WG again fixed this problem when they released the HD model of the tank and reset the front armor angle to what it used to be. I have had some really nice games with mine including an epic battle where I won a 1 vs. 7 battle.
In a game where couple of allies are campers(often had in my experiences)
the more survival ability you get the more chance you can carry the game
so I would quite happy to deal with that damn mobility in order to win the game and make credit
Super Perishing is my go to tank.
if you have a crew that has like 5 crew skills this it pretty much makes its faults better (snap shot, smooth ride, etc). I don't play this tank for credits I play it for damage and xp so my crews can lvl faster. So I'll sling gold without hesitation. Especially when push comes to shove
