This has become one of my favorite channels on TH-cam. I've only aubscribed for a couple of months, but every video is so excellent. I can't imagine all the research that goes into each video, with all the old newspaper clippings and such.

This was a very interesting video. I really like the technique you use showing old articles and fading out the unnecessary parts.
    Very clever.

I always appreciate the effort you put into making these videos! Kinda crazy seeing shark fin appear on these menus/newspapers and knowing that they were actually shark fin too 😂 新年快樂!

Happy new year, Kristie! Love all of the exotic yet indiscernible names for dishes. So definitely want to know more about Kyoto Pork.

    Your research is inspiring!
The dish from this episode that lingers in my brain (so to speak) is yellow fish brain pudding.

My po po would make jai every year, with the dried oysters. It was an annual treat I looked forward to. When I got older I learned to make it myself!

At the end of this video, I am going to grab a still warm take out spring roll out of its bag. Haha Happy CNY!!!

At 3:39, note that they never mentioned the restrooms. Probably unmentionable? Haha
